Ultimately I could not get invested in this story, the romance, the outcome, etc. I kept making notes as I read that it felt very bland, lukewarm. I didn't see why everyone loved Anna so much. Not saying she was unlikable, but I didn't feel like the author adequately showed her personality. There was such a focus on her coma, memory loss, and job that there was minimal development of her as a character. Too much telling, as in telling us everyone loved her rather than show WHY they let her her. Roman falls in love with her - why? I didn't get it. It seemed like the romance didn't fit and was boring.

This was a wonderful story. It is book 2 in a series about several brothers who live and run a ranch in Montana. This story is the brother doctors story, Roman and a girl he grew up with is in a Coma. He knows she does not have family so he starts visiting her and reading to her.

Anna finally wakes up but she wakes with a fight on getting back to herself and Roman becomes a good friend who helps her out. They both develope feelings but they each have some issues they need resolve before they can be together.

I truly loved the writing, the characters and the plot of this story.

LOVED THIS STORY!!!
Anna and Roman knew each other while growing up, but were never friends. Anna always had a crush on Roman. Sadly, Roman never noticed her in that way.
*SIGH*
Years later, Anna is a librarian and Roman is a doctor.
Anna wakes from a week long coma to discover Roman has been reading to her. For whatever reason, he is drawn to her. She doesn't think she is in his league.
After getting out of the hospital and moving to a rehabilitation place, Roman still visits her. he even takes her home when she is finally released.

I think I've sais enough... I don't want to ruin this story for you.
Just know it has a happy ending.

This is my first book by this author, but it will not be my last book by her.
Seriously, I greatly enjoyed this one!

A cowboys kiss is sort of a retelling of sleeping beauty. Anna has been in a wreck and Dr. Mcqueen cant resist being near her even if shes not his patient. They went to school together and even though they were not close he wants to change that now.

Waking up with no memory but the handsome doc at her beside seems familar. When she gains back her memory slowly she cant help but start to fall for the man who Roman had become. He cant fight his feelings either but will he be able to fight her walls?

It was good and i did enjoy it

Anna wakes from a coma following a car accident. She doesn't remember how she ended up in hospital but needs to get out of there as soon as possible.

Dr Roman McQueen is there, as her friend, to help her recover. But as they start to spend more time together will they become more than friends?

I really enjoyed this sweet love story by Trish Milburn. This was actually the first book I've ever read by this author and this one was a great one to start off with. The story had so much heart in it. I felt so much for the heroine in this book, Anna who was in a horrible accident and was pretty much left for dead. She miraculously survived and in a coma. Roman who happens to work in the same hospital recognize her from high school. He was drawn to her and end up spending time visiting and reading to her knowing she was pretty much alone. When she finally wakes up, she realizes she is going to have to do the one thing she was taught as a child, never ask for help and never strive for anything above your status. Unfortunately for her, Roman does not feel the same. In the beginning, he kept telling himself he was helping a friend, former fellow student and a resident of his hometown, but eventually he realizes he felt more and wanted more but he had an uphill challenge. Anna's upbringing kept getting in the way, but I'm happy to say he breaks through and they get their HEA.

I also loved the side characters in this book, Anna is so loved, it even surprises her. Roman's family is also wonderful, I am really interested in reading the first book in this series about his older brother, Justin and Melody. As for Anna's family, they created so much heartache for her, definitely not a fan.

All in all, this was a good book. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

This second story in the Once Upon a Western series is this time based on the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. Though some may say the story is predictable, I say that it was the journey that this couple took...overcoming both physical and emotional barriers and limitations...in reaching their HEA that made the story unique. Add in the secondary characters who were priceless and added so much more dimension and charm to Roman and Anna’s story...case in point, Paige definitely takes center stage in the best friend category...and you have a heartwarming tale that actually will bring a smile by the end of the story.

Side note: If there ever was a Prince Charming who existed, Roman McQueen would be him.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
