This was definitely different with Fantasy combining with Science Fiction.
I found the characters engaging and the story kept me turning the pages, leaving me wanting to read more at the finish.
Thoroughly enjoyable.

This is one weird story and weird in a bad way. Nothing seemed to make sense and after the first few chapters I gave up trying to make sense of it. There are way too many characters and I didn’t like any of them that much. I love stories about elves but I didn’t feel the need to find out more about them. I can always decide after the first few chapters whether I will like a book or not and though I wanted to like this story I didn’t.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of the book.

This book surprised me in that it was really good. It started a little slow but then drew me in and I had a hard time putting it down. The transition from our world to the next and back was seamless. The characters were flawless so all in all an excellent read

Curse of the Sea by Joni Parker, a fun - fast paced novel of the near future. What do you think would happen if the government or Military was introduced to real life Elves and Magic who were responsible for returning home hundreds of sailors who had been lost at sea?

Alex, half a water elf was born on Eledon a elf world. Eledon is connected to earth by a wormhole that the elves can control. Alex witnesses an island falling off the elf grid and repairs the grid. Somehow a wormhole opens to earth and transfers five battleships from earth to Eledon. I enjoyed the book and thought it was a great story. Characters are well developed and I could relate to government response.
