This is the Author's latest book in the Redemption Harbour series and can in my opinion
be read as a standalone .

Nova has received a cryptic message from her childhood foster series - determined to help
her and get her to safety , she asks for time off work .
She decides to keep her team in the dark and go rogue, feeling she cannot involve them.
One of her bosses , Gage, has feelings for Nova, feelings he has put on hold until now .......... he cannot let her
go into danger on her own and follows her , he means to stick to her like glue .
Nova comes to welcome not just Gage's help but also his feelings for her ...... hers for him are growing also .
Especially as the life and death situations she finds herself in are escalating ..... just what is going on ?

This is a fast paced romantic mystery with engaging characters that I really enjoyed .
I look forward to reading more books in this series .

Nova and Gage have finally had their day! For fans of this series, we have been waiting a long time now for Nova and Gage to have their chance at love, ever since the sparks between them first started, and we knew that their story would be filled with drama and angst. Katie Reus has the unique ability to take her readers on an adventure while at the same time reminding us of the capriciousness of love and loss and that sometimes the bonds we find in the most unlikely of places are the strongest. Nova is on a mission, after receiving a rather cryptic message from her childhood foster sister, and she is determined to get to her to safety no matter the danger. When Gage learns she plans to go rogue and leave the whole team in the dark about her mission, he is just as determined to make sure that he sticks to her like glue and keeps her safe. Despite her initial outward unwillingness, Nova is happy to have Gage with her as the danger rises and the life-or-death situations she finds herself in become more frequent. Only once they return home, her foster sister safely in tow, now Gage and Nova have to come to terms with the new intensely intimate tract of their friendship. They both have wanted each other and resisted it since the beginning, but the resistance has become pointless and they both know that they end could come at any time. But the danger has followed them home and now they have to work together, along with the rest of the Redemption Harbor Team to find a way to stay alive so they might have future together. It was interesting seeing Gage in protective mode, especially as he and Nova found themselves in some pretty intense situations, but he always seemed to thrive as he made keeping her safe his goal. His protective nature and the innate sensuality he shows the world are nothing compared to what he feels when the person in danger is the woman that has truly stolen his heart and soul. I was doubtful that he would be able to get over his fears and hang-ups in order to convince Nova to give them a chance, but in the end that very stubborn nature of his came in handy. Nova has resisted Gage, mainly because she thought he didn’t like her, but as his walls come down, and the truth comes out, her ability to resist him drops too. I loved getting to see the sweet side of this sassy and spunky woman that keeps Gage on his toes and she is obviously just as smart and stubborn as any member of the RH Team. It was obvious from the beginning that these two were meant for each other, but only once their guards came down did they both come to understand that they were truly the perfect match. I am dying to see what happens in the next two stories as Leighton finds love, along with the bonus of Nova’s foster sister Layla getting her own sexy guy too. Another amazing adventure with an HEA for the books!

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. There is suspense and mystery throughout. Right from the beginning the action kept me glued to my e-reader. I adored this journey of Nova's and Gage's HEA. Nova hears from her best friend and rushes to Montana to save her. Gage has some deep-seated feels for Nova and goes with her. Their journey is full of eventful adventures.

I loved the multiple POV format here. It really allows me to fully understand the characters so much better. If you love suspenseful romance, then this one is for you.

If anyone’s not read Katie Reus’s Redemption Harbor Series, you are missing out on a series filled with passion and danger. From the romance seekers to the thrill seekers, this series is captivating and fulfilling!

Book five of the series throws Nova and Gage into hunting a danger as Nova’s childhood friend is caught in a web of danger and betrayal with her fiance. A fiance who is the embodiment of evil and would not hesitate to destroy anyone that comes in his path. Gage and Nova have a deadly fight on their hands, to save her friend, and themselves.

Resurrection was an astounding start to the series, and as much as I enjoyed the other books in the series, Hunting Danger is another enthralling romantic suspense from Katie Reus.

Received an ARC from KR Press, LLC via NetGalley for an honest review.

HUNTING DANGER does not disappoint in any way. Nova is amazing, a strong, independent woman who grew up in a crappy situation and still knows her worth and how to come to the aid of those she considers family. Nothing and no one is going to stop her from helping her friend. The fact that Gage does a bit of back and forth dance with her emotions was a bit irritating at times, but he finally sees the light and knows what he wants. Her!

This book is fast paced, flying into the action almost from the first page and doesn't stop until the last page. This author knows how to take her characters, mix in a little action, danger and drama and have the most amazing romance books around. There is an element of humor that slides in and out of the pages especially when Nova uses her favorite pet names for Gage -- Dumb... . No, wait you're going to have to read HUNTING DANGER to find out her pet names.

I absolutely LOVE Katie Reus's books. There is never a dull moment. The characters are intelligent and fascinating and the plots have twists and always stir-up interest. This book is no different. I loved it from start to finish. I love visiting the past characters--they are quirky and likable. I also love the tight bond that the author forms between the hero and heroine. This was another great book in the series and I can't wait for the next one!

Katie Reus does it again!

I'm so glad Nova and Gage got a book! They've been tap dancing around each other for months and their sexual tension is palpable. Their story is sexy and exciting and I couldn't put it down!

I have chosen not to read and review this tile. While the blurb drew me to the story, I was not engaged with the characters or the way the story was written.

I appreciate the opportunity to review this early title and am looking forward to the next title through your company.

Thanks,
Laura

I have been very eager to wait for Nova and Gage's story, bc their banter in the previous books were off the charts. Sadly, there wasn't any in this book. Maybe my expectations was so high to begin with that when I read this book, I was somewhat disappointed. Maybe also its because Nova and Gage are on a mission together and since its just them two in the beginning and with the situation going on that there isn't any time for the banter? Idk I just really missed it. I will say this book did have A LOT of action from the very beginning and the pace was cohesive throughout the entire book. Its a very fast read.

The fifth book in the Redemption Harbor series gives readers a delicious thrill as Nova sets off to rescue a childhood friend and makes the decision not to ask for help. But Nova is the one woman that Gage wants and while he can’t have her, he will do whatever it takes to protect her. The chemistry between Nova and Gage sizzles with a magnetic chemistry that not only draws them together but easily pulls readers into their world, but the relationship takes more than chemistry as Gage is determined to keep Nova at arm’s length for her own good. The passion steadily builds into an inferno as the rescue missions encounters an exhilarating event that puts readers on the edge of their seat, where they stay throughout this fast paced and smooth flowing plot. The story keeps the thrills coming, but also has the suspense building throughout along with a few unexpected turns that the characters doesn’t see coming. Katie Reus has such a gift for creating edge of your seat suspense that keeps readers glued to the pages and Hunting Danger is no different as it certainly had my attention. I love Gage and Nova’s story and I can’t help but be impatient for the next book because this story ends with the team talking about what they need to do next.

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, suspenseful romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

Nova is an intensely loyal friend, so when she gets a distress code from her best friend, she knows she has to go investigate and rescue her. Unfortunately (or rather, fortunately), her boss of sorts, Gage, invites himself along for the ride. Gage, the man she's been crushing on and the man who refuses to make a move on her regardless of their mutual attraction. When her simple rescue mission goes awry, thank God for Gage, though, because between him and Nova's skills, the two make for a lethally smart team. Now if only Gage would allow himself to make them teammates of a different sort.

Although I haven't read any of the other books in this series, I have read other stories of Katie Reus', so I already knew before I read that I was in for a treat reading Nova and Gage's journey. Hunting Danger is a hot, suspenseful roller coaster of a ride. It's action packed, and the chemistry Nova and Gage share is electric. Can't wait to read more not just in this series, but more of Katie's other stuff.

Another amazing installment in Katie Reus’ Redemption Harbor series. I’ve been waiting for Nova and Gage’s story since the infamous call. They’ve been dancing around each other for what feels like forever.

One of the things I adore about Reus’ Redemption Harbor series is how she includes all of the characters. In many series, once the “couple” have their book, they get a couple of cameos, but the author moves on. Reus keeps not only those who have had their story in the picture, you get tantalizing hints for those who haven’t gotten theirs yet. Skye is still one of my favorite characters and her antics just make me smile. I mean, teaching Valencia to pick pockets? I challenge anyone to not smile and chuckle.

Nova is easy to fall in love with, and when her closer than a sister best friend sends her a 911 code in a text about her engagement, she’s all about getting to her and out of whatever situation she’s in. Nova hasn’t ever been the priority with her family, so it never occurred to her that her adopted family in Redemption Harbor should drop everything to help her and Layla.

Gage - not gunna lie, I wanted to smack Gage. More than once. Yeah he is yummy and smart, but really? Once again, a testament to Reus’ skill, to create characters so compelling, they can evoke strong emotions. But once he got over himself, OH man! Like Nova pointed out - they could have been doing this for years!

But as good as the story is, and as amazing as her characters are, I have to say one of the things I love most about this series are the one liners at the start every chapter. I mean, “Life is not a fairy tale. If you lose your show at midnight, you’re drunk.” And “No one is perfect. That’s why pencils have erasers.” They make me smile at the beginning of every chapter. I can’t waIt for the next installment in Reus’ Redemption Harbor series.

Title: Hunting Danger
Series: Redemption Harbor Book #5
Stand Alone Title: yes, recommended in order
Author: Katie Reus
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Blurb: The one woman he wants…

When a childhood friend needs help, Nova doesn’t hesitate. They endured the foster system together, forging a bond Nova can’t ignore. Relying on her friends from Redemption Harbor Consulting—including Gage, the computer genius she’s falling for—is out of the question. She used to work for the CIA and she’s trained—she can handle this. Besides, the whole team is working on their own important jobs. She’s not going to drag anyone away when she’s not sure it’s necessary.

Is the one he can’t have…

When Nova asks for time off out of the blue—and use of the company jet—former Marine Gage takes note. Of course, he notices everything about Nova. But as one of her bosses, his growing attraction to her is a line he won’t cross. However, that doesn’t mean he’ll let her run straight into danger—and a quick hack of her computer proves she’s gotten in over her head. Gage is coming along for the ride, whether the sassy assistant likes it or not. He’ll do whatever is necessary to save her friend…and keep Nova out of the clutches of a lethal enemy who won’t hesitate to kill anyone who gets in their way.
Favorite quote(s): “No one is perfect. That’s why pencils have erasers.”
“I’m not weird. I’m a limited edition.”
Thoughts: I was actually a little disappointed in this book – I’ve been looking forward to Gage and Nova’s book since almost the beginning of the series. I loved Gage’s immediate crush and fixation on Nova, and I was looking forward to their story. However, Gage’s whole ‘reasoning’ behind why he can’t move forward – even though he knows he’s in love with Nova – just didn’t make sense for me. If he was just looking to have an affair then I could maybe see it, but he knows he loves her. I needed more reasons on why he couldn’t be with her for this to work. I loved the characters, but I was just hoping for more with this book.
Rating: B

ARC received for review

I just didn't love Nova and Gage as much as I did the previous couples in this series. Maybe because all the previous books had too much of them and Gage's pining for Nova in it. Gage was great for Nova, and they had great chemistry. All the previous peeps make appearances and help out with the bad guy or was it two bad guys.

Looks like in the next book they are finally going to take down someone they should have already dealt with.

4.5 out of 5 stars

It's time for Nova and Gage to get a story. Both of them were feeling an attraction towards each other and it's finally time for them to act on it. That is not easy though, not only because they are stubborn, but also because they had to survive. There a lot of things going on in this story and you should be prepared for one heck of a ride. Gage and Nova go through a lot of difficult situations to save Nova's friend and then they have to deal with the man who is threatening Layla. I want to see Layla get a story in one of the future books in the series, even if it's just a novella.

You should be prepared before you begin the book. It was a lot of action and worrying about the main characters and both leads want each other, but they don't act on it which can be frustrating, but it mostly feels like a teasing for the readers. It's a good book and if I dare say, one of the best in the series. I can't wait to see what the author has planned for us in the next book! The writing and the pace were good and the main characters likable.
