It is always wonderful to pick up a devotional and feel close to God. This one is no exception. It helps take the reader through the Bible in a year. Very helpful, easy to read.

I think this is your typical devotional book. You get a daily read along with scripture. It is easy to read and understand. I didn't read the entire book before giving my review. I will continue to read it daily through out the year. I appreciate the chance to have an ARC of this book.

Emily Marsh`s guide to read through the Bible in a year is one of the best in this genre I have used. Although I did not go through a whole year, enough was used to form an opinion. She groups Old and New Testaments readings together based on their similarities for each day. With a short paragraph or two she ties the readings together. If reading the Bible and gaining some perspective into it, then this is the guide for you.

This is a very nice devotional and a good way to stay on track reading the Bible through in a year. I liked the short devotional included with each day’s reading. The prayers at the end are a good way to mediate on the passages that you’ve just read. There’s a selection each day from the Old Testament, New Testament, and Psalms or Proberbs.

This could also be a good tool to read through the Bible at your own pace, even if you don’t finish in a year. I’m glad to have this book in my library.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Read through the Bible in a Year Devotional
By Emily Marsh
To be fair I admit that I did not read this book thoroughly but skimmed through it. I read through the Bible 2x in the last two years and I was looking to start again this coming year and wanted a book to accompany my read this time through. I did not find this book to be what I was looking for. These devotionals were very short and did not provide enough thought or depth for studying the Bible as I intend to do. Each day devotional is about a small paragraph long and then provides the scriptures to read for that day. The devotional ends with a highlighted verse to bring everything together. It provides a simple commentary and summary of what was read in the scripture for that day. This book was not for me but if you are looking to read through the Bible in a year it provides a nice reading guide to do so. Considering you can download a reading guide or even purchase a Bible that gives specific sections to read per day in order to complete the Bible in a year I think I would not recommend this book.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review from NetGalley.

Thanks to NetGalley and Barbour Publishing, Inc. for the read of Emily Marsh’s Read through the Bible in a Year Devotional.

I’ve waited to post my review about this wonderful book because I wanted to live it for awhile first.

I can’t tell you how quickly I fell in love with this devotional. It is empowering and inspirational. The daily scripture readings and explanations are a simple and relatable testimony as to how God is working in our lives. A daily reminder on how God lives in us, and loves us.
I can’t see a better way to start my day…and it stays with me, all day.

A wonderful way to keep the Bible alive in your heart, and current in today’s fast lifestyle.

This little book just shines ‘Any Reason Gift!’ all over it!

This is a very nice and new devotional to help you read through the Bible. Each day gives you a scripture reading from the Old Testament, New Testament, and a third from Psalms/Proverbs. On the daily page you also get a daily meditation or explanation of the days readings and how it can become part of your daily walk. In the back of the book, Emily Marsh, provides a Scripture Index listing all the Books of the Bible and the chapters and what day it was covered. It was a very nice organized and meaningful devotional.

I enjoyed the devotional studies and the artwork throughout. While I did not read the entire devotional I found it to be enlightening. I do recommend in an ebook format having links that allow you to see the daily bible verse or take you to that verse. That would allow you to soak up the richness of the daily readiness easily.

This devotional has a reading from the Old Testament, the New Testament and Psalms or Proverbs, then a devotional that goes along with that day's reading. This book is an easy way to read the Bible in a year. Thank you Barbour Publishing via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion of this book.

Every single year I set out to read the bible in a year and typically fail when I don't have a solid idea of where I'm going with the study. Finally I'll have a perfect way to read through it with this perfectly formatted guide! It has perfectly sized explanations and list of what you need to read that day to grasp the message of the day. I love how it is decorated inside too. My only issue was the formatting for kindle.

Every year I read through the Bible. I try to keep it fresh every year by reading a different translation so I have to concentrate on the words more as I'm reading. I also enjoy using different reading plans. Over the years they have varied from an old testament reading, a psalm or proverb, and a new testament reading to reading straight through the Bible to reading through the old testament once and the new testament twice in a year, etc. I simply enjoy challenging myself to keep it fresh every year. Now I know what I'm doing to use next year. This is going to be my devotional and reading guide for 2019!

Of course I haven't read through the entire book yet, but I really enjoyed the format. Every day there's a short explanation that links the scripture readings for the day and explains how God was working His plan for our salvation. There are readings in the old testament, new testament, and a psalm or proverb daily. This is a great devotional for anyone wanting to read more of God's word!
