I recently got the latest book on my kindle and so decided to go back and read the rest of the series. I remember reading Book #1 Lucy and enjoyed it and the book #1 ended on a cliffhanger with Cameron being alive. Book #2 is Cameron's story. We now learn that Cameron is an undercover FBI agent and for the past two years has been living undercover as Matt. Matt has been hired to bring down Danny Sullivan and his enterprise. He has been tasked to get information from Danny's ex-girlfriend Sydney. Sydney has been trying to get her life back on track after her ex almost killed her. Matt and Sydney start seeing each other and things are going well until Matt aka Cam is called in by his boss and told that they have to speed the investigation up which means that Matt aka Cam has to open Sydney up to his real identity as Cameron DiMarco. I have to admit I did find this book frustrating as Cameron was acting like a martyr but his Italian family would have been fine rather than thinking he was dead for the past two years. My favorite part though of Sydney was when Cameron reunites with his family as I loved the dynamics of the DiMarco family and it was good to be reunited with Lucy and Christian from Book #1 and I loved how easily the DiMarco family welcomed Sydney into their arms. What will happen though when Sydney learns that her brother Liam works with Danny? Will this put a strain on her upcoming relationship with Cam as Liam is her only family after their parents were killed. I liked the ending of Sydney with the start of Book #3 Gianna, though my heart did drop a few beats and I have to admit this was one book where I had to read a spoiler as I love the DiMarco family so much and didn't want one of the brothers to be a cheater. If you love Piper Rayne's The Baileys series, then you will love Jennifer Hanks series The DiMarco Brothers.

Great read. The author wrote a story that was interesting and moved at a pace that kept me engaged. The characters were easy to invest in.

I would like to thank CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform and Netgalley for this partnership.

I still love the covers of the books in this series as much as ever.

In this second opus, we find Sydney who was beaten by her companion. She's going to try to start a new life and meet a man. Except the man who beat her is going to come back to the surface, she's going to ask herself a lot of questions. A despised woman and an angry man will confuse him in this second book. Will they succeed in stopping this monster and be able to live happily together?

A book read in one go so much I hooked on the story so moving, captivating, full of suspense and twists and turns and the character of Sydney so endearing. How do you attack a woman as endearing as she is?

Too eager for the series to be released in box set..

I love everything about the Dimarco family and feel like I know them.. I wish there had been more family interaction in this one but I enjoyed it nonetheless. And so happy to hear there are more books in the Dimarco Series I will definitely be reading them as well.

*Thank you to the author and Netgalley for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

Oh my gosh! I just found my new obsession. So I ran across Lucy, Sydney, Gianna, and Elaina on NetGalley and immediately fell in love with their covers. I let them sit in my kindle app for a little bit and then I opened them when I needed to fall away from the world. Like literally. My anxiety is extremely bad right now and I just don’t want to function.

I read them all in two days and even got through one of The Elite Securities series books. OMG! I knew I had to see if there were more out there. Then I found Kate. I read Kate in one day. Oh, my heart I need more. I feel so invested in this family that I can’t help myself but hope that the author writes really fast to get Grace and Ben’s stories written. I also saw on her website that she was doing a novella for Jax.

So, in the beginning, you meet the Dimarco brothers. There are seven of them with one sister. They are a big Italian family that once you’re in the family there is no way to leave. I laughed I cried and I felt like they were all my family.

In Lucy, you meet Christian and Lucy and follow their story of how they fell in love. Can Chris keep Lucy from running away from her problems?

In Sydney, you get to know Cameron the one brother you do not meet in Lucy because he’s undercover and no one knew where he was. Through lies and betrayals, Sydney and Cam fall in love and work through their battles.

In Gianna, you meet Gia and Lexi and Gia’s search for that man that she had a one night stand with just so her little girl will know her daddy. After confronting the wrong brother, Brody takes to them and never lets them go.

In Elaina, Lanie, the girl next door and her dog Beasley, who helps Jake come out of his sea of guilt and Jake does everything in his power to protect her but can he really?

Then we have Kate, Luke survived being gunned down for his involvement in a case that could lead him to lose everything. Kate is a single mom who is just trying to keep her head about water and make the best life for her son Andy. For Kate and Andy the unthinkable happens they are adopted by the Dimarco family and how much they knew that she needed them, the added bonus was Luke. Will Luke give up everything on the police force to have a life with Kate and Andy or will he lose everything?

I love everything about the Dimarco family and feel like I know them. The books give you get background stories of all.

All 5 are 4 out of 5 stars!!!

This is the second book in the Dimarco family series. Family and people-like-family are the main factors in this series. We don't get to see the Dimarco family much in this book but enough to feel their closeness. Absolutely enjoyed this second book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review.

I completely fell in love with the Dimarco family in the first book and this was just as great. We are introduced to Cameron, another Dimarco brother, Christian’s twin brother who is an undercover agent with the FBI. In hopes of closing his case he gets close to Sydney; the only problem is he didn’t mean to get feelings for her. I wish this book would have had a few more family interactions but overall I loved it and highly recommend this one! The best news, there are five Dimarco books currently out!

This is the second book in the DiMarco family series. This is technically a standalone, but you do see Cameron for the first time in the epilogue of ‘Lucy.’ We don’t see a lot of the DiMarco family in this one. I loved that about the first one, so that was a bit of a disappointment. But, I loved the storyline. Cameron has been undercover for a couple years. Sydney is connected to the case Cameron is investigating. This is a page turner and I did not want to put it down.

Well, I fell in love with Syd and Cam.
When you read this book you will feel the same way. I honestly feel this way. There is just something about these two characters that is so realistic for me. Maybe they remind me of someone I know. Maybe. I don’t know.

Cam is on an undercover mission with the FBI. To get closer to the people he is watching, he gets close to Sydney. Only, he didn’t intend for his feelings to be so strong. He simply can’t resist her. Too bad she no longer trusts him now since she feels he is just using her to complete the case.
Cam isn’t willing to accept that though.
Can these two have a happily ever after?
Of course!
This is a love story after all. :)

I highly recommend this one!

Book 2 in the series. I recommend reading them in order, but I suppose it could be read on its own.

Sydney has lost the ability to trust after her previous relationship but when Cameron Dimarco comes into her life she really likes him..... but Cam is hiding a secret, he was recruited 2 years earlier by the FBI to investigate Danny Sullivan and to do so he needs to get close to Sydney..... will she ever be able to forgive him when she finds out the truth!

This is the second book in the Dimarco series and Cam is the twin brother of Christian who is devastated by the disappearance of his brother two years ago..... will he be able to forgive Can when he finds out the truth. A good series I love the Dimarco brothers and hope there are more books to come

Book 2 in The Dimarco series is Cam and Sydney's story.

When Sydney lays eyes on Matt in the coffee shop she owned with her best friend Maddie, she had no idea of the consequences agreeing to go on a date with him would bring down upon her.

Cameron Dimarco hasn't ben seen or heard from for two years. His family are devastated they don't know his whereabouts and can only think the worst of what has happened to him.

Recruited by the FBI for the last two years to bring down Danny Sullivan, Cam is undercover and has his eyes on Sydney, she was in a relationship with Sullivan and from what intel they have on her so far, her brother is also involved with Sullivan and Cam has to get close to Sydney to find out how involved they are in Sullivan's operations.

But as always, things are not what they seem and when Sydney finds out why Cam is really interested in her, her heart and trust are once again abused and falling for another liar is just another blow to her life that she doesn't know if she will ever get over.

Absolutely enjoyed this second book.

Thanks to NetGalley and Megaohm Publications, LLC for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

Three stars because I wanted more of the family!!!!!!! The DiMarco family clan is the best part of the series! Ben and the sister didn’t even make an appearance :(

Sydney... she really started to get on my nerves. I can understand she reluctance but she didn’t alway make the smartest decisions.

Cam... it was nice to finally meet him, LOL. What was missing here, was how/when he left his former occupation and how he got into the new. And how he justified not even contacting his family in all that time made no sense. Not visiting was one thing, but not even a phone call?????? It was like his story from book one had to change to fit his future storyline.

Similar to a Book one, this story is well written.

Ending was definitely a doozy. I am excited to keep reading!!! Who will be next as I’m sure all can’t be what it seems!!

This is the second book in the Dimarco family series. The epilogue of 'Lucy' gave us the intro to this book about Cameron (Christian's missing twin) who has been on a FBI case for almost 2 years, all the while leaving his family in the dark he is alive. Sydney is a young woman connected to the case he is investigating.

Family and people-like-family are the main factors in this series. We don't get to see the Dimarco family much in this book but enough to feel their closeness. I do (still) think there are too many characters you have to keep up with and the brother's are so much alike. The story is thus more story-driven than character-driven for me.

In fact, the stories are not really very original but have a certain warmth due to the family-factor. You keep on reading, even when you sometimes roll your eyes. So.. good stories. They are easy to read and again we got an epilogue leading us into the next story about Gianna and.... (one of the brothers).

I cannot get enough of the Dimarco Family! This is Sydney Harris and Cameron Dimarco story. A forbidden love story with enough thrilling suspense and steamy chemistry that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.

Rating 4.5 Stars.

In Hanks first book in the Dimarco Series, Lucy, the reader knows only that Cameron's twin Christian was a Marine but has been missing for a year. Cam is devasted at the loss of his brother. It's one of the major reasons he doesn't think he can love. How can he enjoy his life while his brother is gone, potentially in a bad situation? As the books nears completion, Cam catches sight of Christian outside the hospital where their new nephew has just been born. He's understandably incredibly angry and hurt when Christian roars off on his motorcycle without speaking to his twin.

Sydney is Christian's story. Sydney herself is a possible target of the investigation he's been working on and initially, he's sent in to get information from her. An unforgivable lie. Immediately, he realizes Sydney is special and he's never felt this attraction with another woman. Sydney is feeling the same but has her good reasons for keeping her distance. Can the undercover FBI agent and the former girlfriend of a ruthless criminal wade through all their issues to find a way to be together? Can Cam ever forgive Christian for his deception? Can Sydney trust anyone?

In Sydney, we again spend time with the Dimarco family, a wonderful, large group of loving people who have a way of making outsiders feel like they belong. Like Lucy, Sydney has its dark moment of sheer terror. There are plenty of sweet times too. Every character is well defined and either completely lovable or horrendous and hated. The book takes the reader through a gamut of emotions on the way to the perfect ending.

This book didn't blow me away as much as the first book, Lucy, did. I did like it but it was just missing a little something that I can't quite put my finger on. Angst, maybe? However I'm intrigued enough by the ending to hit up the kindle store and buy the next book. I'm hooked on these Dimarcos!
