I loved this story. Cait is such a strong young woman. She is determined to live life her way. Daniel is a rogue...with a heart of gold. We find that out pretty quickly. He's a good man. When these two meet, there is no doubt they are made for each other. Personally, I hope the villain in this story (who is talked about but not seen), gets what's coming to him...maybe in the next book!

How to Tempt a Rogue Without Really Trying: Heart of an Heiress (Regency Hearts Book 4) by Ava Stone

Cait and her sister Corinna are in England for their eldest sister Cara's wedding. Cait can't understand how Cara could possibly give up living in Bermuda where the women own a salt business to live in dull grey and wet England. As she is in London she promises a friend back home that she will check on his sister who is also her good friend, Iona. They haven't heard from her in an age and are worried. I don't want to tell too much of the story, but let's just say that her search for her friend ends up with her climbing out of a window and onto a tree, a tree under which stands Lord Daniel Westham.

Daniel is not the marrying kind, especially not since he has seen how his friends have been jilted and hurt. He has the reputation of a rogue, but is he really that bad? He is positively bemused when he watches Cait shimmy down that tree especially as he'd have struggled himself, yet she did it with ease and in skirts! From the minute they set eyes on each other there is an instant attraction. It's one that grows the more time they spend with each other, which they end up doing because Daniel vows to help Cait find her friend.

Cait wants to go back to Bermuda and doesn't want to find herself falling for Daniel. Daniel's place is in England and he doesn't want to marry anybody ever, does he? Can they have any kind of future together when there will eventually be a whole ocean between them?

This was such a wonderful yet quick read. I love the Beckett sisters, and I especially love a particular matchmaking Duchess! Daniel is a real sweetheart and I love how he wants to look after and help Cait. He is a real hero! Although there were some sad moments in this story, for the most part, it was a lighthearted feel-good novella which I really loved. It was quick paced and full of wonderful characters. I think that the ending was a little abrupt, but I am hoping that we will hear a little more about Daniel and Cait in future books in the series.

The series continues and the three Beckett sisters who lived in Bermuda are all now in London. Cait and her sister Corinna have arrived to attend their eldest sister's wedding. Cait had promised a friend back on the island that she would check on his sister and her good friend while there. That should be simple, right? Well definately not when she ends up meeting Lord Daniel Westham as she is climbing out a window, a window in a brothel no less! Daniel was a great hero with his soft heart and he is definately intrigued by Cait who is so outspoken. Daniel agrees to help her find her missing friend but seems to end up rescuing her from many places! You will find yourself laughing out loud at some of their antics.
This is a novella that can be read quickly but you will enjoy the adventure and attraction as it builds between these delightful characters.

The story follows the Beckett sisters who have run their father’s Bermuda business since his death. Caitrin arrives in London to attend her sister’s wedding but in the process, meets Lord Daniel Westham when trying to escape a brothel. What a start to a story! This was a short but entertaining read as Caitrin tries to uncover where her friend has disappeared to. With the help of Daniel, this proves to a lovely adventure.
I received an advanced review copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is a fair and honest review, as promised, in return for being allowed this ARC. What a sweet and delightful series. These sisters are absolutely delightfully trouble. I can't wait to read more.

This was such a great introduction between Daniel and Caitrin! It started off fun and did not let up. I quite enjoyed watching them realize how they feel about each other. So obvious to everyone, but them! If you are looking for a fun afternoon read, I would pick up this historical.

I didn't like this one as much as the others. (More a 3 1/2 stars) Things seemed a bit rushed to me. Cait was a lovely heroine who could care less about society and more about her family. We didn't see her making any friends outside of her family. Daniel was a "let the good times roll" kind of hero. He was constantly being warned by his friends (her family) to stay away from Cait, yet no one stopped him. He was constantly thinking about what he wanted to do with her, yet never acted on any of it except a light kiss on the lips while helping to find her friend. I loved Lucien and hope he gets his HEA. There were no real bad guys in this story so the story just flowed without any issues. It was a light quick read with a HEA. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy.

A brilliant addition to the series. A lovely romance with believable characters and a well written plot.

I received a free ARC version of the book from Netgally in exchange for a honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

So the meet cue for the main couple is adorable but something I've read before. Let's just say they meet at a dress shop of I'll repute. I've seen it done in various historical romance books before however this was really well written and I thought it cute enough to get away with it.

Out of the two main characters, I loved Lord Daniel more then Cait. He's a retrobate but a liveable one. He spends alot of time with his brother James and his niece. I especially love the interaction with the niece. He spoils her rotten. I really want to see how he would interact with his own kids.

Cait on the other hand comes across as a little annoying. I don't know what it is about her either. Maybe it's the fact that she doesn't listen to the very solid advice from others about pursuing her friend who worked in a brothel and then became a mistress to a very bad man.

She should come accross as a great friend for doing everything she did but I just felt she was being stupid. I did feel sorry for her for her ex-fiance (really wanted to tear that man a new one). But I didn't feel sorry enough to actually like her. I'm more interested in her younger sister as a heroine and she doesn't even get a lot of page time.

Overall the book is ok. I feel it's mostly the Cait as a heroine that was the problem. I enjoyed everything else about the book.

How to Tempt a Rogue Without Really Trying is a charming novella. Ms. Stone brings together these two unlikely people who are neither one looking for a long term relationship. Caitrin has recently been jilted by her fiance, who keeps popping up in the book. And, Lord Daniel is a rogue among rogues. They meet outside a brothel with Caitrin trying to escape. Daniel is taking his friend there to help him forget his troubles. Said friend, Lucien, is a long time friend of Caitrin and her family. Caitrin is there looking for a lost friend with whom she grew up on the island of Bermuda. It is an odd cute meet to say the least.

Daniel is described by Caitrin as an Adonis, but she does not even realize she is attracted to him. He sees her as a delightful minx and hoyden. Daniel decides the only way he can keep Caitrin out of trouble is to help her find her missing friend.

The secondary characters and subplots add to the real life like qualities of the romance. You hope as you read that the others in the book will find their HEA, too. I missed Cara’s story with her earl, but plan to go back and read it. This is a sweet, light-hearted romance that any one will enjoy.

Just a thought: The only thing I found a bit odd was the mentioning of Daniel’s ‘cock twitching’ that went no where. This was not a deeply sensual book. So, for me, that seemed out of place here.

I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. How To Tempt Rogue Without Really Trying by Ava Stone is her second novella about the Beckett sisters and part of her The Heart of an Heiress series. I do think to fully enjoy this book you should read the first one as many of the characters in this book are introduced in How to Land An Earl in 10 days or Less. This book is about the middle Beckett sister Caitrin who meets Lord Daniel Westham after climbing down a tree to escape a brothel. While it’s definitely sparks fly at first sight neither of these two is looking for a relationship and watching their friendship grow into something more is a delight. Sweet not steamy. I really enjoyed Caitrin and Daniel's story! Caitrin is determined to find out what happened to one of her childhood friends. This determination leads her into many scrapes. Daniel helps her out of the first one and ends up being led on a merry chase by Caitrin. There were many twists and turns that kept me on my toes and enthralled till the very end. It was a great addition to Regency Hearts series. I've really enjoyed this series and hope that Stone has more stories lined up for it!

How did I miss the other books in this series?! I love this author and am always rewarded by spending some time in the worlds she creates. Once again, I was not let down in the slightest. Cait is absolutely wonderful in this book and Lord Daniel is her perfect match in every way. Whether he's rescuing her from trees and bawd houses or ex-fiances and overly crowded ball rooms, he tends to find himself in almost as much trouble as she does. Not only did I find myself laughing at their antics, with her incredible writing, I also found tears falling down my face. It takes a lot to get that type of reaction from me. If you're looking for a fabulous historical romance to whisk you away from your every day drama, this is definitely one you should consider picking up. Now, I just have to track down the other 3 books in this series!

Thanks so much to Ava Stone, NetGalley, and Night Shift Publishing for allowing the chance to get lost a little in this world and share my thoughts and opinions with others.

Enjoyed the story of Caitrin and Daniel and how the great rogue was brought to his knees by falling in love. They spend a lot of time together and this acknowledgement does not happen until the end of the story. The story is well written and enjoyable and is worth reading. It is a clean historical book appropriate for about any age group.

I received a free copy and from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. How to tempt a rogue Without Really Trying by Ava stone is a relatively short story and I think that was part of the problem I had with it. While the romance between Lord Daniel and Caitrin is cute there wasn't enough personality from the two of them. You don't really get a picture of who these people are I was more interested in finding out or what happened to Lord Daniel's brother James and his friend Lucien than I was in the romance between the two leads. This is a quick read however and enjoyable for something short I would definitely be willing to give Ava Stone another chance

When one of the Beckett salt heiresses drops out of a tree to escape a brothel while looking for s friend, she comes in contact with Lord Daniel Westham.

I liked Cait and Daniel from the start, they are very likable characters and their attraction is immediate. I especially enjoyed the matchmaking duchess.

Another enjoyable read from this author.

Three sisters come to london from Bermuda to fight for the rights to salt on the Turks to keep their business alive. This is the story of the middle sister, Caitrin.
Cait , while in London, is looking for a friend, who's family hasn't heard from her in months. She enlisted the help of Daniel Westham, 2nd son of a duke.
Cait has a tendency to get herself in trouble and Daniel is her knight in shining armor.
This is a cute story but I felt it could have been more. It seemed like it was just getting started when it ended.

I really liked this. I enjoyed reading this story so much I read it in one sitting. The characters are quite likeable. Lord Daniel is not the typical rogue; he has a soft heart for his family. He's intrigued by the unusual Miss Caitlin upon their first meeting. She is quite daring, willing to go to great lengths to help those she cares about. Although there are some sad aspects - Caitlin's missing friend and two jilts - there is much amusing banter between the many characters made up of family and friends of the h and H.
