This was a delight of a rom-com! I haven’t read the first book in this series yet, but it’s not needed to in order to read this one. Thanks so much to the publisher for gifting me an e-arc of it. I enjoyed it immensely! It was so easy to lose myself in this story, the writing is so gripping and I absolutely loved these MC’s and their romance but also the friendship-elements present in it. Looking forward to also get my hands on book 1 and read that one too!

I am on the fence about this story. Some of it was cute and funny but the story was also slow and a bit draggy.

Being from SF I thought it would be fun to read. And like I said part of it was. There was a whole thing about a secret which actually seemed a bit overly dramatic.

This is the second in the series but I am not sure if I will pick up the next one.

I’m sad to say that this book just didn’t work out for me. This may very well just be because of me, but I didn’t really connect with the characters (perhaps the age difference?) and I sadly found myself skipping parts of this book. The romance in it was a bit flat I found personally and the book just didn’t move me that much.
I think that this was probably not the right book for me personally and isn’t just a reflection of the book itself.

This is the second book in the girls weekend away series! I did read the first book and enjoyed it but both books just didn't really do it for me in not sure what's wrong but they just feel flat for me?! This is Celia and Landon book, Celia is a single mom going through a divorce and Landon is a playboy millionaire! These two meet in Vegas in the first book and have a few stolen hot moments! Landon can't stop thinking about Celia but knows she's trying to focus on her family but he's determined to be there for her! Celia finally gets her groove and her relationship deepens with Landon but Celia has a big secret that could mean their downfall! Not a bad read just something missing for me! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Meet Me in San Francisco is a great premise with a playful cover. It's a girls' weekend that turns into hooking up with her Vegas fling. Unfortunately, the story unfolds a bit too conveniently and isn't all that interesting. If you love dialogue heavy storytelling, then this might work for you; perhaps that is why I struggled getting into the book and investing in the characters.

I received this ARC from the publisher.

I've always wanted to a Shana Gray book, so was excited to receive an ARC copy from Netgalley.

It is a fun, lighthearted read about Celia, a divorced woman in her 30s. Her ex-husband is getting remarried, so to help her forget, her four friends "kidnap" her and take her to a northern California vineyard for a few days. But along the way she meets up with with Landon, a man whom she met in Las Vegas (and had a brief fling with while there). She and Landon have been corresponding (mostly via text) since meeting. He meets them in San Francisco and "kidnaps" Celia from her friends (with their agreement) for a day and a night. They spend time together, and he woos her with adventures like skydiving, spelunking and ziplining, then they hop in his Bugatti and drive the rest of the way to the vineyard, which his family owns. Celia divides her time then between Landon and her friends. The more time she and Landon spend together, the more they gradually begin to realize their strong feelings for each other.

But she's hiding a secret -- from her friends and Landon, and when they mistakenly find out the secret at the party, Celia is afraid her friends and Landon will never forgive her for sharing her secret.

It's a fun read, but at times I felt the book didn't move forward fast enough. I like books that keep me at the edge of my seat, and this one really didn't. But, if you prefer books with less angst, this might be a good read for you.

I wish the author had opened with the scene where Celia and Landon first met in Las Vegas, rather than skipping over that and referring back to it throughout the story. I yearned to understand this instant attraction from their point of view, but we didn't experience that with them. We only saw it through fragments of flashbacks. I think this made it more difficult for me to understand the characters and relate to them.

I also wish the book was a little less predictable--Landon's wealthy, and sometimes the author (in almost an omniscient point of view) indicates that, but it doesn't make me feel closer to understanding him. It comes across as arrogance at times. One example: near the end of the book, Landon tells Celia he's been talking with his lawyers to determine whether their relationship might prevent her from gaining custody of her kids. He says "They said, in the politest and most professional way possible, that being with a man like me can only help you." A man like him? It was almost too arrogant and didn't fit his personality through much of the book -- thoughtful, considerate, kind.

I also wish the author had stated (perhaps in the front inside cover), that this was book 2 in a series, following up her book "What Happens in Vegas." I think if I had realized that, I would have read "What Happens in Vegas" first to get a better understanding of Celia and her friends, who were the main characters in that book. (Might have also helped me understand the instantaneous attraction between Celia and Landon.)

But all in all, it is a fun read!

Celia Fox has been all about being a good mother for her two children after going through a nasty divorce. When she gets custody papers served on the same weekend her ex-husband is getting married to the woman he cheated with destroying their marriage, her girlfriends step up with a weekend away.

Landon Bryant and Celia spent time together in Vegas, and neither can forget their fling. They kept in touch and he knows that Celia needs time away from her day-to-day troubles. He helps to organize the weekend away. As the two spend more time together, their feelings bloom.

Although I felt that Celia was a ‘real’ woman and mother, I was feeling that the speedy love between her and Landon somewhat less ‘real’. Given the issues Celia is facing, I thought she should be extremely wary and careful before jumping into another relationship and exploring if the feelings were lust or love. I think this would have been a stronger story if the romance and sex elements was removed!

After checking out the blurb, I was looking forward to reading Meet Me In San Francisco.

Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. The bones for a good story are there, but I had a hard time liking the characters. Celia and her group of girlfriends especially felt immature. I do appreciate that the author featured their strong female friendship, though. It was nice to see women building each other up.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Loved Celia and her group of girlfriends, and that they knew she needed to get away on the weekend that her ex-husband was getting remarried (to the woman that he was cheating on her)!

When her friends "kidnapped" her, they took off for San Francisco, and she was then "kidnapped" by her Vegas fling, Landon.

There was always some something going on, and they were all over the place so never a dull moment with Celia.

I wish there was a bit more at the ending as it was kind of a fast ending and the custody problem was not really resolved - just mentioned that Landon's lawyers would be there is things became really bad.

It was fun to hear about some of the places we visited in San Francisco,it felt like I was there again!

Three friends kidnap a fourth for a weekend in San Francisco and wine country. Celia is struggling with her ex-husband's remarriage, as well as his attempts to gain more custody of their two children. So, it's a welcome escape, where she becomes reacquainted with a rich CEO she met while in Vegas. If you like finely detailed erotic romance, then this book does it with a fairytale storyline added in. It wasn't really my type of romance novel--I prefer a bit left to the imagination.

This book definitely falls into my top five list of contemporary romance series. Shana Gray has made these characters so “real”. She makes them, hormonal, snarky, and funny, but best of all she makes them friends. Celia and Landon share a lot of sentimental moments. The interaction between Landon and Celia’s kids makes your heart melt. Their love evolves like ripples from a rock thrown in a pond, ever widening to their happily ever after.

This e-read from NetGalley could've been soooo much better. Some minor editing and better writing (yeesh, some of those scenes and dull dialogue bogged this story down from getting to the point) could've elevated this story from its ok-pretty good.

The second in the “Girls Weekend Away” series, this book is as breezy as the first one. Half girlfriend road-trip, half wonderful guy sweeps woman off of her feet, there is plenty for everyone to like. Celia is the focus of this one, and moms of all types will definitely be able to relate to her desire to re-discover herself after a divorce. The only thing that disappointed me a little bit about this book is that there was too much focus on Landon impressing Celia. These scenes came at the expense of detailing other events. I understand the author’s focus for Celia, but I would have liked to have had a little more of the girl-talk between the four friends (because the author does it well), and a little less of the inner monologues of Celia and Landon. As in the first book, the conflict is fleeting, although I do hope the author follows Celia’s story through the next two books because the storyline with the ex is interesting. The ending was also a little abrupt; it almost seemed like an afterthought. I will give the author credit for doing her research on San Francisco and the California Coast. I’m a born and raised California girl (SF Bay Area), and reading the descriptions of Northern California brought me to the beautiful parts of the state that I miss the most. Looking forward to seeing what happens with Fredi and Ava! 3.5 stars, but bumped to 4 for the nostalgia that the scenes in Monterey and Napa Valley invoked. Thank you to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing LLC, and the author for a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This one just didn't work for me. I loved the start with the flirty texts, but it went downhill quickly from there. This was more of a "woman's fiction" feel for me. Lots of talk about "sisters of my heart" and "sassy sisterhood". I like how they were there for one another, but it just felt so cheesy. The dialogue with Landon was often cringe worthy. While some may enjoy this style it just wasn't my cup of tea.

3 Stars-
This started out very cute with texts from a couple that had met on a trip to Vegas in the first book. They had a hook up and the interest was still there. She was going through a horrible divorce and He wanted to pursue her.

This had a lot of women's fiction vibe to it but the times with the two of them were more interesting. Landon was the best part of the deal.

I absolutely adored the way this book started with flirty text messages, also appreciated how much our heroine's friends loved her and always looked out for each other. Our H and h met in Vegas in the book preceding this one, and had a fling but parted ways after Vegas only communicating sporadically. They both felt a deepening connection to each other and wanted to explore that connection (albeit with lots of caution on the part of our heroine).

The premise was good but for some reason after the text messages at the beginning, it just lost its appeal for me.

Meet me in San Francisco a five-star read that will whisk you away. This was my first read by this author, it’s the second book in the Girls weekend away series, but I read it as stand alone and plan to go back and read the first book and hopefully the rest of the series as I adored this book, you can imagine yourself on the Golden Gate bridge in the fog and having seafood in Fisherman’s Wharf. You want to throat punch the stupid ex and while away the hours in the arms of a lovely man like Landon. This is a read where you have to suspend reality as its not everyday a playboy millionaire falls in love with you and whisks you away after your friends have kidnapped you, but if you do, the you will be rewarded with a great story that suck you in and while away your time reading.
