A fun and quick story about Christmas. Starts out with Scrooge like Clark coming into small town Texas to stop the funding for the Dickens's Christmas festival. When Kate, who loves everything Christmas, decides he needs to be shown what the holiday is all about, the clashes begin. At times Clark seems like Scrooge, and other times like the Grinch. Quirky at times, and laugh out loud at times, this is a great book to read to get you into the holiday spirit. Highly recommend.

Butting right up against being super-cheesy, this book combines elements from your favorite classic Christmas stories into one story of renewed hope. The two main characters are both broken people; one who has allowed his past to write his future, the other who has overcome her past, but still bears its scars. Primarily, the book is A Christmas Carol, and we all know it has a happy ending (because it is, after all, a story), but how Scrooge gets from the beginning to the end is a little bit different. One of my favorite scenes was pulled directly from the Whos of Whoville...in the Grinch. It's a feel-good story that won't make you think too much.

This was a sweet Christmas story about a town that lives for Christmas and even has a Company, The Christmas Company, that employs the citizens of the town, just to promote Christmas! I enjoyed the book.
