Let's Talk about Sext by Evie Claire is one hot read! Fabulous plot twists and delightful characters support the book with solid foundation. The story is just alive with the individuality of these two and those they surround themselves with. Hot, delightful, steamy...and did I hot?

The editor asked that we wait to get a new corrected version. I will revise upon receipt as I did not want the books issued to count against my fulfilling my commitment and this book is showing up as over 90

Very cute story. Clever writing, great characters. I absolutely loved Brody. In my mind it was Jason Mamoa I pictured as I was reading his character. Some of the lines that Phebe said were so funny. I enjoyed reading this book.

Book was pulled by publisher. We were asked not to read it so I am not reading it. While it asked for a star rating, the one star means nothing.

Cute fun romp with likeable characters and just enough steaminess. This book was graciously provided by loveswept in exchange for an honest review.

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for honest review.

Let's Talk About Sext, has one gorgeous hot man cover. Let me just tell you.. it's why I requested it. Then the whole idea about a romance with sexting - sign me up. However, Phebe and Brody were kind of just okay. It's probably because I read so many books with smut.. but it's like these two were just regular people (in my book).

I didn't hate them but I also didn't love them. Their romance was cute and I saw the obvious attraction between them.. but that's about it. There was nothing spectacular about them.

At first glance, I liked Phebe because she seemed to have a backbone and didn't really care about what people thought of her. Then once I got to know her more.. she just kind of seemed a bit snobby to me. I loved her bitchiness and everything else because it made her seem likable, I just couldn't get past the snob guys,

Then there's Brody, who wasn't exactly bad but overall meh? The romance between them was hot.. but that's about it. Nothing that really happened sexually wowed me - and if you follow me.. I read some serious smutty books.

Overall, it was an okay kind of book. Would I reread it? Maybe. Would I try another book by this author? Probably.

I was drawn in by the cover and description, however, I was just not able to connect with the book. Maybe I’ll try it again in the future, but I just wasn’t feeling it this time around.

I read the original ARC provided and was down to the last 20 pages when the publisher notified me that the book was going through major revisions.

The version I read was good, but the female lead drove me nuts with her stubbornness. I didn't feel the book developed either character's background early enough to explain their attitudes and fears. Overall, the book was fine and passed my time but that's about it.

This book has a fun plot line and steamy characters. I liked that the female is a powerhouse in the corporate world. Recent romance picks of mine these days seem to lean towards a strong female lead and this book is no different. However, I felt that I related a little more to the main male character. He seems a little more human than her and I kind of feel that since they made her more masculine it was in vein. I know they are reworking some parts of this book after receiving some feedback. I enjoyed reading it but it wasn't my favorite. The plot line starts quickly and hooks you - which I enjoyed. Brody seems like a total stud and was swoon-worthy in my eyes. By the end, it's a little predictable. Some of Phoebe's parts kind of annoyed me because you just wanted to say - WAKE UP! You're missing your shot! Some construction criticism: the title of the whole book comes from one minor scene and this kind of baffled me. I wouldn't say the title is a great representation of the story. It wasn't as good as two others I've recently read that I would probably recommend over this one: Rumor Has It (Real Love, #4) by Jessica Lemmon and I Think I Love You (Oxford, #5) by Lauren Layne.

Like many other reviewers mentioned, I couldn't get into these characters. I tried, but the constant whining by Phebe was a complete turn off for me. I didn't feel any connection between her and Brody. I felt like Phebe looked down on everyone, thinking she was so much better than others because of her job/education.

Phebe Stark is all about setting goals and achieving them. She doesn't care what she has to do to climb the ladder to achieve her dream job. The only thing she won't do is use her body to move up. Brody Cantrell is bartender extraordinaire. These are two people that shouldn't work out. It all starts with a text that turns into a phone call. They have been living in a bubble and when they stepped out into the real world, it burst. Can they solve the issue that drove them apart? It isn't until friends intervene, that Phebe finally knows what to do. I loved the ending

Let's Talk About Sext caught my attention with its quirky title. Anyone who lived through the nineties is bound to giggle at least. Then you have the good looking guy on the cover and you are bound to stop and read the blurb.

While it's entertaining in its ups and downs, Let's Talk About Sext isn't quite what I pictured. I had the hardest time trying to like Phebe. (And not just because of the unusual spelling of her name. She's a snob and a bitchy woman through and through.) Don't get me wrong, I have a strong bitch streak but her armored personality is too abrasive to think of fondly. She was elitist and rude. I couldn't empathize with her at all.

There didn't seem to be much depth and despite wanting to know how it turned out I wasn't driven worth a need for an HEA. On the contrary, I wanted Brody to walk away. I guess my inner hopeless romantic is on vacation today because I wasn't feeling them as a couple. I just couldn't see her view point. She blew things way out of proportion and made judgements that made me question how her friends even dealt with her.

Frustrated and wanting to like it but couldn't make it past my dislike for Phebe.

I absolutely LOVED this book. Brody and Phebe nearly burned my screen up with their chemistry. I read the book in one sitting because I simply could not put it down.

Phebe is such a strong ball buster. I loved how she made no apologies for enjoying her success and her ambitions. I thought that Brody was a great balance for her and the chemistry and interaction between them was brilliant. What happens when what they both want isn't the same thing and decisions have to be made? Or are things more complicated because of the people, feelings, and the past?
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me the pleasure of reading this book.

Holy Crap! This book is to hot to handel. I had my jaw propped open for most the book it was that hot! A MUST READ!

The story was good, but I felt there were too many details at times. The dialogue between Phebe and Brody was enough to be interested in their chemistry and want to jump into the story with them. But then, there would be the insight fillers of the story and I felt like it dragged the story down rather than adding more perspective to it. I get they have feelings for each other. There doesn't need to be three more pages of fluff. Overall, good story but long winded.

The publisher reached out to me to ask me not to review this book because they were going back for edits and would instead send me another copy of this book sometime next year when it has been updated. I wrote back asking if there was any way I could still review this, as I'm not interested in reading another version next year. It's been several weeks and no reply so here's what I have to say:

I didn't find this book too problematic, so I'm not sure why the big fuss? Perhaps the publisher is harsher about criticisms and taking editing suggestions to heart, or perhaps this book was earlier in the publishing process than most books I read via Netgalley. Regardless, I thought this book was just fine for anyone looking for a contemporary romance with a bit of kink where the reader is just along for the ride and not interested in nit-picking everything to death.
