I’m not really sure how I feel about this book. There were parts of it that I liked and parts that seemed to drag on. If you’re someone that like a true romantic drama, this if for you.

Unfortunately, I ended up DNFing this book. Some of my issues it felt that the story was dragging on even though nothing much happened. I get that the female main character was supposed to be portrayed as a badass in business but she spent a lot of time complaining about her supervisor or those who viewed her as a woman as opposed to an individual. I didn't connect with the male main character. I understood that he chose to run the bar in honor of his uncle but it was his choice. I didn't feel the chemistry between the main characters.

I was disappointed as I love other LoveSwept titles.

I will not review this book in my blog What to Read Next.

Great book. This is my first book by this author but it won't be my last. This book has everything you need, great plot, hot sex and an awesome ending. I really enjoyed every word of this book and highly recommend.

Love Phoebe! This is my first book by this author and won't be my last!

This book was the perfect blend of bad ass bitch girl boss, steamy scenes, and hipster bartender. I appreciated the setting in the ATL, and liked how the author brought real estate into the plot. I feel like that's such a favored plot these days, because of the Gaines, and it's always refreshing to read something that is nicely does. Solid 3.5 stars!

Couldn’t put this book down with all of the ups & downs & twists & turns. Phebe is a powerful businesswoman in commercial real estate that doesn’t mess around & is trying to make it in a man’s world. She doesn’t let her gender slow her down & always feels like she needs to prove herself due to being a woman. She doesn’t want to be like her alcoholic mom was with her dad, so she focuses on work & is looking for someone that also focuses on work. Enter Brody the bartender/owner of the bar. He is hot, tatted up, drool worthy but definitely not Phebe’s type. She meets him b/c she goes day drinking in his bar after a heinous day at work. Sparks fly & he wants her number. She doesn’t give him the correct one but only throws it off by one digit, which is in the area code. Watching this hot relationship play out is well worth your time. It’s good to see a realistic romance play out. Highly recommend reading this one!!!

I received Let's Talk About Sext for free in exchange for an honest review. It was a cute romance. I enjoyed it. I definitely thought there would be more "sexting" and "dirty talk" than there was, but it was still a good book. I would definitely read more by this author.

Phoebe meets Brody when he is bar tending at an establishment near her former place of employment. She has never been there before, certainly not in the middle of the day, but she was just fired after giving her employer four weeks notice. Although they seem completely different, they have major chemistry, and Brody seems to understand Phoebe in a way that no one else does. They are both dealing with personal issues that resulted from poor parenting, in addition to differing lifestyles and goals. Despite these differences, they attempt a relationship. As might be expected, these differences quickly tear them apart. In spite of this, they both realize that they love each other. Phoebe realizes that she needs counseling, which helps her to deal with issues that had held her back in their relationship. Meanwhile, Brody reflects on some things that Phoebe said to him and starts to make some changes in his life. Eventually, they realize that they are willing to work on their relationship in order to find happiness.

Let's talk about how the story just seemed to take forever to get to the end. I think that the burn up the pages sex scenes were great and most of the characters were likable, but the heroine just wasn't that nice. I think if some of the heroine's brassiness, snobbiness, and plain old bitchiness were toned down some, this would be a really great story.

A fun romance. Evie Claire has a good balance between humor and sex. Contemporary romance fans will want to put this on their to be read list.

Nothing can save a book when you hate the heroine as much as I did. Phebe was a horrible. judgmental snob and I cannot believe Brody forgave her for the awful things she said to him. Brody is much more likable but I spent most of the time trying to figure why on earth he was falling for someone like Phebe.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

L-o-v-e! The idea of the woman being the high powered richer person in the relationship made me so excited!

I dislike giving bad reviews but I have to with this one. This book was booooorrrriiing, and too slow, I tried a couple of times but then gave up. I didn't like the main character Phebe, and that is sad because if you can't deal with them than it is hard to muddle thru. Brody not so bad actually I even liked him but even he couldn't save the story, sorry folks but just can't. New author for me, but definitely will not add to my read pile. Save yourself time, don't do it.

DNF @ 25%

Choosing not to finish a book is really hard for me. I do not take it lightly. Normally, I struggle through hoping I fall in love with the characters and their story. I couldn't do it with Let's Talk About Sext. Here's why...

* I was bored before the story even took off. I felt like I was wading through the writing. The story just felt so slow paced.
* Third person narration is either a hit or miss for me. It was a miss in this case. It added to the slow pace of the story in my opinion.
* I did not connect Phebe. She didn't seem like a nice person at all by her thoughts. I felt for her with what she was going through at work, but that was it.
* I didn't feel real chemistry beyond the initial meeting between Brody and Phebe.

There was something I liked about Let's Talk About Sext, though. It was Brody. I was surprised at how much I liked him from just the small glimpse I got of him.

Sadly, Brody wasn't enough to keep me reading. I feel bad that I abandoned ship so quickly, but I just didn't have it in me to keep reading a story I wasn't liking.

Let's Talk About Sext is the first book I've read from this author and I was excited to read it based on the blurb. I have to say that this story just didn't work out for me. I found the pace of the whole story to be slow and to be honest, the story was boring. I did not like Phebe's attitude at all. From the very beginning her attitude rubbed me the wrong way and although I didn't hate her character, I truly disliked her and couldn't connect with her. She just seemed so rude and judgmental. I did however, enjoy Brody's character. He was more humble and down to earth that Phebe, but it just wasn't enough for me to enjoy this story. I also didn't feel the chemistry or a connection between Phebe and Brody that I'm sure the author wanted it's readers to feel. Yes, there were steamy scenes but I need more from these characters and this story. I truly expected more and I didn't it, so I just think that this story wasn't the one for me.

This book doesn’t live up to the title or the blurb. There is less that one chapter where they actually text each other and even at that it is nothing substantial. What does it matter what he does with the property his father left him, they are not married or even in a serious relationship. She is a bitch and this is just an awful character flaw of hers. There is no understanding or even trying to see the situation from his point of view she just blows up at him. Her attempts at an apology suck and really her character is just awful! She is so self centered and only focused on her and what she wants and what’s best for her. It is just the ugliest part of her personality we see in this book. Does she have a heart? Does she care about anything but money and her ball busting attitude? There are lots of things missing in this book but the biggest on is heart. Only one character has it but it’s not enough.

This is my first time reading the author and I didnt love it. It is well written, BUT I hated some of the names in this story like Phebe instead of Phoebe and Nuck instead of Nick. Every time I read those names I kept thinking the author couldn't spell and it hugely distracted me.

That said I did not like P at all. She is a tough ass bitch and I kinda hated her. She llooks down on Brody because he is a bartender and thinks she is better than him because she has her career all set, U think I might have enjoyed this story except I really hated P.

Sorry this was one I could not finish reading, the names were very distracting and added in I kinda hated the heroine.

This is Phebe and Brody book, Brody owns a local bar and Phebe is a high powered business woman. These two together are all wrong for each other! I really liked Brody! He could have been rolling in the dough but he just wanted to run his uncle's bar! Now Phebe just couldn't really understand this?! She's just not built that way and in the end that's what messed them up! This book had a little bit of everything! Some heartbreak and heartache, angst, drama, and definitely some hot pool table action lol I liked the whole thing with their pool table!! Definitely don't miss out on this book it's well worth the read! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
