WOW! What an amazing page turner. I love this Author's writing style. Grace and John are out for dinner celebrating their 5th anniversary when he is struck and killed by a hit and run driver. Grace is not coping well. I would say the Author did his job very well. I certainly did not figure it out until he hold me at the end of the book. I highly recommend this book and this Author. Thanks to NetGalley, Bookoutre and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

I was excited to read this book and it was very slow moving. I kept waiting for it to get exciting and it never did. The main character of the story spent most of the time crying! Even the ending didn’t add to excitement.

This read starts out as a book that I was able to guess at the ending right away. Yes, part of the story was obvious - but there were a few surprises, as well. A fast read, yet a bit predictable...

Grace's husband, John, was killed in a hit and run accident. Grace could not face his funeral and the arrangements so John's friends did so. 6 weeks after the death, Grace went to the cemetery to see the casket lowered. She had her best friend, Jennifer, take her there. John had been a resident at the hospital where Grace had worked as a nurse. She was avoiding the HR department there, yet she was low on funds. Grace gets a call from John's attorney, and goes to see him. John had taken out a million dollar life insurance policy just a few months before he died. (a policy for both of them) - for a million dollars each. Also, Grace finds out that John had a bank account that she was unaware of. She does not sign the policy, but takes it with her to think about (?) It is then that she has her first "John" sighting. Jennifer convinces her to go to her psychiatrist. The psychiatrist is afraid Grace may have major depression - since she (according to Jennifer) is hallucinating and is delusional. (Why does Jennifer get to diagnose anyone?) She has seemed suspicious since the start.

The story continues as Grace continues to have "John" sightings, the insurance policy goes missing, people are in her home? or cameras? Paranoia!!!
Jennifer being exceptionally judgmental.. Sometime at this point I began to wonder why did Grace not reach out to ANYONE else? It is plain to the reader that Jennifer is leading Grace into a psychotic hell. Why, though?

We find out that John has a twin brother, Elliot. Also,John was a heavy gambler owing lots of money (about $250,000 to shady characters. Grace did not know that John (who was an orphan) had a twin or about his debts! Elliot and Grace share a video call that shatters her.....

This is a good, fast read, but a little too predictable too early.

Many Thanks, as always, to Bookouture and NetGalley for a chance to review!

Not what I was expecting from a psychological thriller. I had difficulty with the writing as half was language one associates with a British author, however, this story is set in Portland Oregon. Secondly, the first three quarters of the book are basically two women opining existentially. It got old quickly. The real action happens in the last ten percent of the book with unrealistic dialogue.

I read this book in a day and it is a page turner just to find out quite what was going on, I did have a few ideas and some were right however it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the book. It was a bit predictable and a little far fetched but still made a good read but my only downside was I really disliked Grace !! All in all if you want a read that doesn't tax your brain so much then here you go..My thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for the chance to read an advanced copy ..4 stars

Well, although Grace annoyed me a bit, I did thoroughly enjoy this book, and I thought the end was cracking!!

It was slow and dragged a bit, but I think the author was just being sympathetic to Graces’ plight, having lost her husband and everything was getting on top of her, which is understandable, but to find out he’s not what she thought he was must have been devastating. You never really know anyone, despite how well you think you do.

My thanks to the author, the publishers and netgalley for the ARC.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me read this fabulous ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As a reader of many psychological thrillers, this one was not as gripping as it set out to be. The structure of the book from now to then to revisit the day one of the character died was unnecessary. It was more annoying than anything. As for the story line, it was quite predictable.

Thank you for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. I’m sorry to say I didn’t like Tell Me No Lies at all. The author kept repeating the same things over and over, and the sequences between then and now were repetitive as well.
