I could not finish it because it felt very generic.

As Elodie is pregnant the organisation of the history weekend at Hartsford Hall has fallen to Cassie and she employs Aidan to repair the tennis courts and pool area. Aidan has a particular interest though as his great great uncle was involved with Hartsford as a renowned poet. Can he find out any more information about him especially his later life.

Another lovely story in this series. Once again it's told in a dual timeline which works well. With great characters, atmosphere and storylines or is a series well worth reading

Lady Cassandra Aldrich (Cassie) was just a little nervous about the upcoming Living History weekend. Her sister-in-law Elodie was the one normally in charge of the special events at Hartsford Hall, but she was pregnant with twins, so it fell to Cassie to do the bulk of the organizing. Months to go – so she thought – but suddenly August was almost on them.

Aidan Edwards had made himself known to Cassie at the Hall and she’d hired him to repair the tennis courts, pool and spa for the upcoming History weekend. But as she came to know him, Cassie realized that Aidan’s great-great Uncle Robert was a significant part of the Hall’s history. The story of the 1930s; aspiring young poet, Robert and a delightful, spirited and carefree woman who was his muse slowly came to light – all before the events of the second World War. But could they unearth what had happened after the war? Or would that mystery remain unsolved?

Watch for Me by Twilight by Kirsty Ferry is the 3rd in the Hartford Mysteries which is set in two timeframes – current day and the 1930s onwards. I particularly enjoyed the chapters of the past, with the parallels in the current day poignant and intriguing. A thoroughly delightful historical mystery which I highly recommend.

With thanks to NetGalley and Choc Lit Publishers for my digital ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.

I haven't read the first two books in the series, but this didn't matter and I enjoyed thsi book as a standalone read. Having said this, I really enjoyed this book and will be adding the first two to my reading pile.

A super time slip story which moves effortlessly between the two stories and timeframes - present day and wartime. The story is set around Hartsford and its hall - a perfect setting beautifully described. Well written characters who I easily engaged with despite not having read the first books in the series. I was captivated by the poignant intertwined love stories and found this book difficult to put down. A really satisfying ending.

A fantastic time slip novel which I highly recommend.
