When a wife is betrayed by her husband it sends her life in an unexpected direction. She will be forced to keep her secret life hidden even if it involves breaking the law.
I was expecting more of a Victorian/erotic setting and was initially a tad disappointed. Despite this I found it to be quite a good read with a surprisingly interesting storyline.
This is an easy read recommended to those who are looking for a crime/thriller with a slightly different twist.

I selected this book from NetGalley on the erotica section and it is a mystery/thriller more than anything else.
Unfortunately, the story didn't appeal to me, and I found Estelle an unlikeable character, so I could not relate at all. The writing itself I felt lackluster. It was very forced.

The erotic part is not erotic, and the mystery part is not mysterious. The book can't decide what it is or what the plot is. For starters, the cover has no relationship to the contents. For enders, there is no ending, just a stopping.

This was an interesting read for me however, I am not sure I would categorize it as an erotic read. I found it to be more mystery/thriller. The story is fast-paced with loads of drama and suspense and Estelle is one interesting character. I found the read to be entertaining but not what I was expecting.

I was expecting a good thriller/mystery mixed with erotica, but I am a bit disappointed. A wife discovers that her husband is betraying on her and then all the hell breaks loose and she finds herself in the middle of a thrilling action. Although I really appreciate the intention to build a mystery around the wife, I think the essence of the story is lost between too many characters so that you stop caring for who is who and why one is doing what one does. At that point, the book gets really boring, the thrill is gone. I would have expected this to be a very exciting and thrilling story, topped with erotica in a Victorian setting.

This book did not do it for me. I was expecting one thing and got something like a crime show screenplay. The story itself was interesting and suspenseful enough but it lacked...something. The writing itself I felt lackluster. It was very forced. Example: she's upset and scolding the neighbor kid. Kid gives weak excuse. Her response: ok. and they move on like it wasn't a big deal. The suspense and action written in was very good though. I did enjoy those sitting-at-the-end-of-my-seat and action moments. I think this book is more directed towards a more thriller loving fan instead of erotic.

What a ride! Read in a few hours as I was desperate to know what else could happen to Estelle. How could a former schoolteacher from the suburbs fall into so much trouble. Only bad part...the ambiguous ending. I hope there's a continuation of Estelle's story.

I selected this book from Netgalley on the erotica section. I was expecting more of a Victorian setting, and an actual erotica book. However the all plot occurs nowadays, and it is a mistery/thriller more than anything else.

Unfortunately the story didn't appeal to me, and I found Estelle a very shady character, so I could not relate at all.

4 Stars

This was an interesting read. Do not be led astray by the cover. I like the cover but this story is a contemporary thriller. There is a bit of sex but I thought it was more of an adventure story. The pace was racy and the descriptions curt and direct.

Estelle transforms herself and by doing so also finds out more about herself and her father.

I would look for other stories by this author.

I was given a copy of this book by Netgallery for my honest review.
