This is a short collection of simple poems modeled after Walt Whitman. Nothing phenomenal, but maybe it's just not my cup of tea.
I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
"i am an orchestra of moments"
This book is full of such moments.
Megan Pollak's poetry collection is rather small but incredibly captivating. It opens with a quote from Walt Whitman, "I am large. I contain multitudes." and this book does indeed contain multitudes. This collection had me feeling rather nostalgic, although I couldn't quite place what of.
This is a good collection of poetry. I connected to a few of them, I didn't feel much for emotions but they were beautiful poems. I'll definitely check out more of her work

This small but mighty collection begins with a well known quote from Walt Whitman ("I am large. I contain multitudes.). This introspective collection of poems reflects Whitman's style, realism and comparing human nature to wildlife nature. I enjoyed this simple but deep set of poems and found several quite remarkable.
A quick emotive volume. Recommended.
Thanks #NetGalley for sharing this.

There are some beautiful phrases within this collection of poetry. I've never read any of Pollak's work so this was a first for me. I didn't know what to expect going in and while I thought it was a good collection I really wish there was more of it. I'm not sure if it is intentionally formatted this way, however, a page per verse did seem a little strange without anything else on the page. I gave this 3 stars, it shows promise but I wish there was more!
