This one just wasn't for me. I wasn't really into the couple pairing of the hero dating his brothers ex. This prevented me from getting into the story.

Ok, this read was long overdue! I can't believe I waited this long to finally read, but I'm going to need all of Naima Simone's books! I sure enjoyed the heck out of Sin & Ink. This book was HOTTTTTTT, absolute fire and I wasn't expecting that at all? I was like ooooh, are all of Naima's books like this causeeeeee ... I'm here for it.

Not going to lie I was a little bit iffy about the forbidden aspect, it's usually not my go-to. But my goodness, the angst happening ... I couldn't stop reading.

Besides all the delicious steam, the family aspect added to this story. My heart broke for Knox and the guilt he harbors and continues to do so after his brother's death. When it came to his mom and grieving, it was just so unfair and how she treated Knox.

In comes Eden, girlfriend knows what she wants. I'm glad they have each other in their corners.

My first read by Naima and certainly won't be my last!

An MMA fighter, tattoos, forbidden love and too many years of pain. Will love finally bloom? .

To not feel worthy of love is unthinkable. What happens when you fall for the one person you're not suppose to?

A smokin steamy hot read that will keep you glued in your favorite reading spot until the last page.

A handful of authors are on my auto-buy list and Naima is one of them.

Another book that’s been sitting in my kindle for quite some time. This was my first book from the author, and I can say that I really like her writing style.

Now about “Sin & Ink”. I don’t really know where to start. The story was really good. Definitely interesting and off the charts sexy! What bothered me at times was the guilt. It overshadowed their every encounter and took some of the sexiness away.

Knox is an ex-MMA fighter turned tattoo artist. Eden is his brother’s widow. They lost him 2 years ago. Since then both their lives changed. Knox feels guilty about how he died, and he’s been accused about it by his mother. Eden is slowly getting back on her feel and she mostly has Knox to thank for that.

The attraction and chemistry between them are undeniable. I mean Knox wanted her for the past 5 years and he still does. There’s chemistry, there’s passion but there’s guilt as well. As I said before their times together are hot hot hot!

“Sin & Ink” has the taboo theme on point. I don’t think that I’ve read another book with this particular trope. All in all, I’m left with positive thoughts and I’ll be checking more books by the author for sure!!

I thought the author handled the taboo subject of falling for your brother/sister in law perfectly. The struggles and emotions between Know and Eden were real, raw and at times overwhelming.

Knox is a retired MMA fighter who now owns a successful business. To Knox, Eden was the one who got away. He’s feelings didn’t diminish when she married his brother nor when his brother died unexpectedly. He’s supported her as friends and emotionally during her mourning period. He’s reserved in showing his feelings for her but the are simmering just below the surface.

Eden didn’t have an easy child or young adulthood. She’s always relied on herself and when she met Connor her world became his. She and Connor were still in their honeymoon phase when his life ended. She’s struggled for the past 2 years but now she’s ready and willing to start a new chapter in her life.

Eden has taken control of herself. I liked that she was the aggressor and wasn’t willing to give up on Knox because he was her brother in law. She owned up to her feelings. Eden was always sweet but she had two different personalities with these men. Watching her grow as a partner to Knox helped these two forge a bittersweet romance.

At times the story was a bit repetitive. Eden and Knox had a lot of internal debates that last throughout the book. His family was also another challenge that these two had to overcome. There was a little drama with his mother but it was handled with care.

Overall it was a worth while romance. One that will stay with you long after you’re done reading it.

This book sounded like it was made for me: I mean, HELLO, hero carrying a torch for his dead brother's widow? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP.

While I acknowledged that the angst was delicious, I didn't feel connected to the characters, unfortunately, which makes it hard for me to rate this book higher. I wish I felt more for Knox and Eden's relationship too, but oh gosh, the sexy times? Amazeballs.

Also, I'm a pacifist but I would really like to smack Knox's mother around because THAT WOMAN TESTED MY PATIENCE SO MUCH.

I think this is my first Naima Simone? Will surely not be my last. I'm already eyeing the second book in the series because stepbrother romance? YES, PLEASE.

Knox oh Knox how I love you. Sin and Ink is such a love affair that you have to read. Moreover, Knox is such a wonderful man that takes everyone's pain into himself that it breaks your heart.

Knox was an MMA fighter that has given it all up due to a horrible accident in his family. Eden is his sister in law and the woman he has been in love with for the past five years. However, he has made a promise that he would never touch her. However, what happens when she makes it too hard for him to pass her up?

I highly recommend this story.

Naima Simone starts her Sweetest Taboo series with this offering. Sin and Ink is a sexy fast paced read. It has really compelling characters and a strong, well plotted story. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is apparent and the passion factor is high. The romance seemed a little light but I think that is the result of being the first in the series. The balance between the set up of the series and the core romance was off a bit. I was extremely entertained and look forward to the rest of the series. 3.5
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

Knox is secretly in love with his brother's girl Eden. He promised his family and brother that he would stay away from her. Eden finds Knox hot and such a naughty bad boy with a good heart. These two have so much passion between them. A sexy, hot story with plenty of sensuality and an interesting story.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

"You’re intense, and that’s not a bad thing. I’ve always felt safe with you. Protected,” she murmurs. “I just doubted my ability to not lose my mind if you actually turned that intensity on me.”

Wow this one was something else! The romance the forbidden was exactly what I needed! The back and forth between Knox and Eden was hot!I adored them and I could feel the passion and their itense moments.

I love reading about mma fighters. This one was no exception. The tenderness between brother/sister in law after brother/husband's death is great to see. Well written!

I have chosen not to review this title. My apologies for the delay in responding to this and advising you of this, especially as it is likely obvious I have chosen not to review, I thought I had sent in all of my DNF titles.

As always, I appreciate the opportunity.

Naima Simone has done it again with a sexy, passionate, emotional book. I love her writing and the way she portrays her characters. And as she tackles a taboo topic / relationship, she brings so much heart and emotion to it.

I have waited far too long to read another Naima Simone story. She is moving up to my top 10 contemporary romance authors that bring the heat AND the story. Stat.

Eden and Knox. Holy Intense Hotness.
More than infatuation. Beyond simple lust.
These two NEED. Strong. Hard. Ruthless.

Naima Simone can bring on the churning inner dialog that rams up the tension *whew* AND draws you in to the real wants and fears and strengths of our hero and heroine. #wordforeplay

Eden's character growth won me over. Without it, this story would be hawt, but not worthy of my five star rating. Thank you, dear author, for not leaving her two dimensional!

I was happy that the few plot twists made sense and bringing the romance to a sizzling and satisfying conclusion. I really, really loved these two together. I recommend it to any reader who craves a hopeless hope romance, with a double-scoop of intense hotness in their reading ;)

This is a great start to a new taboo series. Knox is secretly in love with his brother wife from the moment he saw hear. But young Eden with her troubled past and tender hart fall in love for younger brother Connor. After Connor dies everyone grieves. Knox is hard on himself because he feels responsible for brother death and for loving his wife. After a long grieving with help of Knox Eden comes back to life. The only person who makes her body hot is Knox so they start this secret affair until Knox tell her that he will do exhibition fight and reveals all his secrets which end all. I like the story. Both Knox and Eden are well developed and interesting people. We see so many different sides of Knox and he suffers a lot. Eden is also a great person I liked that she stood up for Knox, that she realized how she changed through the years and accept Knox love. Great hot, emotional read.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Really enjoyed this book, the chemistry between Knox and Eden is all kinds of hot, but there's more to them than just sexual attraction; the dialogue has a good flow and the characters are well-developed; both have their own personal issues to deal with. Not to mention the fact of how they are already have a unique connection with each other. This kept me engaged enough that I couldn't wait to find out if they were going to have their HEA and how others would accept their relationship.

I was totally unsure about this in the beginning as the blurb made me feel a bit strange because the brother was dead :-(
But within the first few pages I just knew I was going be hooked. It was frigging amazeballs and I loved it! Didn’t want it to end but I couldn’t stop myself from reading into the early hours just because I wanted more. So good!
