Easy, stress free hockey romance, to be honest though, there is no hockey action, just pure sweet romance. Justin Davis needs to get away during the offseason, somewhere far far away, hopefully somewhere he won’t be recognised. His wicked ex, Miranda, is spreading lies, and she’s got it in for him. She’s also not too happy about the way he publicly dumped her (yes she did deserve it). Meghan Taylor, a widower of 8 years, and a single mother is home alone for the summer while she fixes and updates her rustic farm. Guess who her new neighbour is? Yep, none other than our hockey heartthrob, Justin. Naturally, friendship (followed by more) ensues, but Meghan is adamant that this is only for the summer, and they’ve got to keep it a secret, she doesn’t want this to affect her 8 year old daughter. Yeah right, like that was ever gonna happen. It’s fun reading all their antics though. Wonderful characters, and a star in the making with the adorable Ellie. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This is sweet and a very well though story. Justin is the guy that has wasted a year because of a bad decision on the wrong woman. And he is ready to just be himself. Meghan is the woman that is ready to move on but scared to jump all in and get hurt later. A mother that is putting her daughter first and also doesn't want her to get hurt. He finds her refreshing, collected and level headed. She is surprised of how easy feelings grow with him and how different he is from what she expected.

All his friends have been forming a family and he is ready to work on his. He treats Meghan with so much care and love that it's hard to deny how much they fit together, even when it is so difficult for them to be together. Justin has grown up to be a responsible man and the interaction between Meghan's daughter and him is heart melting. It will make you need a man like that in your life.

Thanks NetGalley for allowing me to read Off The Ice by LP Dover.

I have read all books in this series and have loved each one. While this can absolutely be read as a standalone, why would anyone want to miss out on a wonderful series with super hot men and many HEAs.

Justin is celebrating winning and the Stanley Cup and recovering from his stint on the reality show and suffering from the consequences of selecting Miranda. This book should be handed out to everyone to let them see that each decision has a consequence and sometimes those are horrendous. Miranda is terrible!

A sexy cowgirl lives next door to his Wyoming hideout and they hit it off as long lost friends. That is one thing I especially loved about this story is that Meghan and Justin establish a true, fun and flirty friendship and grow a strong love from there. There are tons of complications but these two are strong and determined and most of in love.

I admire the turn around Justin is given in this book. He is so sweet and so deserving of Meghan and her daughter!

I really like this series! This book was no exception. It’s predictable in the best way possible and always entertaining.

Justin was ready to leave his reality television fiancée in the past. She was nothing but an endless headache and now she is determined to destroy his future. Finally getting away for the summer he can finally breathe. No paparazzi following him and the media frenzy that threatens to consume his every move. Meeting Meghan was the first time he was able to finally be himself without the glitz and glamour of hockey or starring in a reality television show. Finding each other will bring them the peace they both need to finally feel whole. Absolutely love this series!

I would like to thank Netgalley and Books by L.P. Dover LLC for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have been following this series since the beginning and 4 books in I can say that I haven’t been disappointed. That being said this can be read as a stand alone.

This book is about Justin who is just getting out of his contract from being The Bachelor on a reality show. The woman he chose is horrid and he buys a ranch in Wyoming to basically hide from her. Once he arrives in Wyoming he literally runs into Meghan who ends up owning the ranch right next door to him. They instantly hit it off and he falls for the “normal” girl.

Great romance read. Fast paced and a little predictable but that was fine. Sometimes you just need a good romance. It was a little high on the hot meter. Happy Reading!!

To be honest, this was just an ok read for me. Having read so many sports romance books lately, this one fell a little flat for me.

I have loved the other breakaway books but this one struggled a bit. I was interested in Justin's story after getting glimpses in Dallas and Callies. However it started out well and seemed to stall. There was so much drama with Miranda promised but it lacked and Justin and Meghan was insta love with lack of chemistry and build up. At least for me. It was good and cute but felt it lacked a bit. I will still recommend it and hey someone else may 5 star love it. Just not what I was expecting.

4.25⭐
Off the Ice was a sweet, sexy, engaging and entertaining story. That had little drama or angst and completely held my interest throughout. As well as characters that were both extremely likable and interesting. And I really enjoyed the development of the relationship between the central characters Justin and Meghan. As well as that between Justin and Meghan's daughter Ellie.
Plus, I thought this was a great story to end the series with. Not to mention the appearances of Justin's teammates Kellan, Dallas and Maddox has made me want to go back and reread their stories!
And I would happily recommend Off the Ice to others.

The first book I have read in this series, but I don't think it mattered.

Justin meet Meghan when he is hiding away in Wyoming. They get close, but does she really want her and her daughter tolive their lives in the public eye?
An interesting read in times where there is so much reality TV

This looks like the last book it the series and stars Justin, who was the hockey player in the reality love show who dated Miranda the fiancée from hell. In this story he breaks it off and it is VERY MESSY. So he runs away to Wyoming where he meets his new neighbor, Meghan.

The two form a friendship and while both lust the other Meg feels Justin is too public for her since she is a mom of an 8 year old daughter. This story reminds us that love is what is important and that sometimes despite the odds against you, you just have to take the leap and hope the other person catches you.

It was well written and I loved every single character except for Miranda. It was sweet and sexy and I fell hard for Justin who was willing to be traded for Meghan and her daughter.

I didn't realize that Off the Ice was book 4 in the Breakaway series when I picked it up. Although I typically like to read all the books in a series to really get a connection with the side characters, this book could be read as a standalone.
Justin and Megan had an amazing chemistry between them and through LP Dover's amazing storytelling, I really felt a connection between the two of them!
I will definitely be going back and reading the other books in the series.

Sizzling romance off the ice, with an undeniable chemistry between them, Justin and Megan drive their story effortlessly from beginning to end. The author did an excellent job of creating characters whose vulnerabilities came through, along with their strengths. Creating characters who’re multifaceted, and doing so with such believability, is a true testament of a gifted writer...to me those are the characters Ms Dover creates stories for.

I’ve been reading the Breakaway series from its onset and have enjoyed each player find his own HEA. Seeing Justice come out on the other side of his fame fiasco, was especially rewarding...I knew there was a good guy underneath all that flash. I’m looking forward to what is store next in the series.

Polloi I've been waiting for this book!! This is Meghan and Justin book, Justin is a famous hockey player and Meghan is a elementary school teacher and lives in Wyoming on a ranch, Justin was on a reality show kind of like the bachelor and got paired with a crazy chic! Lol he buys the ranch next to Meghan to get away from all the crazy! They actually meet at the airport,, Meghan knows who he is right away but can tell he doesn't want that so she acts like she doesn't know who he is! They get hot and heavy but Meghan also has a daughter and does not want to be in the limelight! The crazy ex makes all kinds of problems! It's a great story! It was hot, thrilling, heart touching, and all around a great read! Definitely don't miss out on this one! I'm sad to see this series go but look forward to more stories ahead! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Justin is not bashful, and he's so playful, “oh yeah?” He lowered his boxers, and my insides clenched with anticipation. Circling the table, he grabbed me around the waist, and I wrapped my legs around him. “Now that I’m naked, what do you want?” I liked this book, I fell in love with Justin.

This the Justin's book in the series of Hottie Hockey Players this is the 4th book in the series. We have met Justin as being Callie's brother who is now married to Dallas. Justin took over Dallas's place for the single Bachelor series and he ended up with the nightmare that was Miranda. Per his contract he had to be engaged to her for a year and he was so relieve when he was able to dump her which he did publicly and now she is out for revenge. Justin goes to his ranch to just get away but ends up meeting single mom Meghan. Meghan lost the love of her life overseas but now she is a single mom only wanting the best for her daughter. But while her daughter is away with grandparents she meet Justin and they have a love affair, until it all comes crashing down in the hurricane that is Miranda. Does she want to live in the public eye? She has a daughter to think about, but can she just let Justin go, someone she fell in love with? Well grab a copy and Enjoy!

3.5 Getting a Fresh Start
* * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
What do you do when you just finished playing out the craziest reality tv romance gone bad...Why you take off to your ranch to chill out and just be normal. Well, as normal as a Stanley Cup winner can be. Justin Davis wants to get back his normal life and being around those out West should do the trick.

Meghan Taylor just happens to be his neighbor. She has the ranch next to his but hasn't handled it well for many years. It is in need of some drastic help and Justin happens to be the one who wants to assist...Meghan and her daughter have lost the only man important in their lives, Meghan's husband and her daughter's father. It may have been eight years ago but the vacuum is still there.

Justin steps in and Meghan is just what he wants...a normal woman who appreciates him for who he is without all of the fanfare. But fame and commitments come calling and the question is whether these two can weather the publicity storm.

This was a perfect addition to the series.
