So many great Keto recipes. Keto is still really popular, and I think these Cookbooks will stand the test of time.

Thank you for allowing me to read this one. I've got several recipes from this book that I want to try.

I've followed a keto diet for decades, well before it showed up on every magazine cover and had countless books written about it. So, I'm always looking for new and interesting ways to change up my routine meals.

The introduction / first section reads more like a personal essay than a how-to; not a bad thing, but it tells me the author knows as much about keto as I do. I'd hoped to glean some new insights here, but didn't. Therefore, like most keto books, this is geared towards beginners or those just starting their keto journey.

What follows are recipes, many of them. Divided by meal, it's easy to scan the titles in the front matter to see what I could flip to. Sadly, in this review copy, there were no photos and skipping forward to most recipes by clicking wasn't possible on my kindle.

I will note each recipe has (in red) the nutritional values of the meal. Thankfully, it seems the author did not choose "net carbs", but rather total carbs- which is what a "proper" keto diet should adhere to. Unfortunately, and possibly due to formatting issues, only the numbers showed up in my copy, not the designations (fat, calories, grams, etc).

Looking at the nutritional values, most of the recipes are more low carb than keto, and even then some of the recipes stretch these definitions.

Did I immediately bookmark any recipes? No. Many I could tell how to make from the recipe titles, without having to look (ie omelette, zucchini noodles in butter), and those that may have needed explanation were already in my wheelhouse / what I've come across in pretty much every keto cookbook there is.

There's nothing groundbreaking about this book. If you're an old hat at keto, I'd pass. But for a beginner or someone just checking out this diet, it's not a bad first reference.

I rate everything starting at three stars, and add or deduct from there. It's a fair book, well structured and written, but there's nothing new on offer that's already been covered.

Good resource to help with the Keto diet. I did tell a friend about this book and they brought it and was very happy with it. A good addition if you are trying this diet. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my review.

Easy to follow recipes that actually turn out as good as they look. I found myself utilizing this book more than once when planning menus for the week.

First of all, let me tell you that this is a book containing recipes that follow "Dr. Colbert's Keto Zone", which is a wellness program that includes a ketogenic diet.

This book is great for those who just decided to stop or slow down on the carbs and realized that almost everything they cook has copious amounts of sugar and flour. It has a lot of familiar recipes like "perfectly scrambled eggs" or meringues and some other intriguing ones like avocado ice cream. Recipes use simple or easy to find ingredients that you might even have at home already. This makes it a great choice when transitioning to a keto pantry and for those who panic if suddenly they cant eat anything that resembles what they are used to.

I was specially interested about the snack and dessert sections, and this book had great recipes to choose from. I tried the garlic flaxseed crackers with cucumber mint dip and they were super fast to make. I only needed one thing from the store, greek yogurt. The rest of ingredients i had at home. I'm looking forward to try the cheddar chips and sweet nut clusters. Also included are breakfast, lunch, dinner and "basic" with recipes such as bone broth, coconut cream, sauces and dressings.

I liked this book. It might be a little too simple at times (like, I don't need a recipe for sunny side up eggs), but when trying a new diet, it's nice to be reminded of those everyday recipes you can still enjoy. If you have had a keto or low carb diet for a while and want to expand your repertoire of recipes, be aware that you might find many of them familiar or too basic, but it's worth checking it out.

Easy to follow recipes to help you be successful following a Keto diet. I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review

Let's be honest, with summer season fast approaching, most of us are struggling to lose those unwanted pounds and shed a few inches off our waists, thighs, and arms. We have tried every fad diet known to man and one of them is the Ketogenic diet, also know as KETO diet is has been a fad since 2018.

In this cookbook, the author Don Colbert not only included different recipes that suit this diet but also informations and even his own study about it. But the only downside of this cookbook are:
- The author did not include any alternatives to be use to substitute if such ingredient/s are not available.
- Lack of clinical studies. Most of this informations in the cookbook are based on his only. Those who are eager to lose pounds would want to know if this diet is tailored for them.

All in all, I gave this a 3.75 out of 5 stars.

I received an ARC of this from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I feel like I'm doing a disservice to this cookbook because the copy I received was an advanced copy and it didn't have any of the pictures that were supposed to be in it, in it. Personally, I'm a very visual person and when I'm looking at a recipe, I also like to look at what it's supposed to look like. I am largely swayed by appearance when it comes to making a recipe.

That being said, I tried to look beyond that and the recipes seemed pretty status quo. They looked yummy but nothing really stood out for me about this cook book. It was just a very straightforward cookbook with some easy to make keto recipes.

This cookbook was not helpful at all! I tried several recipes and was not satisfied with any of the results.

**Received ARC through NetGalley. Voluntarily reviewed**

Since I only reviewed an ARC of this cookbook I didn't het to enjoy the visual pictures that come in the completed book. While I haven't done the Keto diet myself I have been researching it in anticipation of changing my lifestyle into one of following Keto. I liked that while this is a cookbook Dr. Colbert included some basic information on choosing a Keto lifestyle. The information was laid out in laymens terms so it was very easy to understand. There is a plethora of recipes to use including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, salads, broths plus much more. I think this wpuld be a great tool for people already in the lifestyle or beginners.

While the beginning info tells you what "Keto Zone" can do for your body, It doesn't exactly tell you how to do it (step by step process). It does say what foods to avoid, but I just felt some things were lacking or could have been explained a bit better. Also "cookbook" is in the title, so that is what the majority of the book has are recipes to make. Since I'm a relative beginner to keto, I would find this book is not for me in terms of information.

A well laid out recipe book with a very easy to understand explanation of Keto Zone eating at the beginning. The recipes were well laid out, easy to follow and readily available ingredients. If you are looking for keto then this may be a decent place to start. I don't know much about the keto diet so I am assuming the information provided was accurate. If you have significant food allergies especially to dairy or soy this may not be a good recipe book or diet for you to follow.

I appreciate this book, because I’m working on the Keto diet for my own health with my RA and Subglottic stenosis. The recipes look simple to make and tasty. I would love to interview him for my blog when his book comes out officially on why the Keto eating plan works and how it benefits one health.

Worthy Publishing and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of Quick and Healthy Keto Zone Cookbook. I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.

The Keto diet, to those - including myself - who have heard of it but have no prior knowledge, is a diet comprised of low-carb, increased healthy fats, and moderate levels of protein. The balance of these three dietary building blocks creates the ideal environment for a healthy body, according to the philosophy by the author, Dr. Don Colbert. The important thing to stress is that this is a diet, which the author says can provide followers with 1-2 pound weight loss per week when combined with exercise. This is not a diet to start lightly, or without prior doctor approval. It may work well, for those with Type 2 diabetes, in particular, but only a qualified doctor who knows your personal medical history will be able to determine if this diet is for you.

My personal opinion is that there are a lot of good, nutritional recipes in this cookbook. I could see myself making several of them, especially recipes in the Basics section like Bone Broth (p. 20) and Homemade Tangy Barbecue Sauce (p. 26). The Breakfast section has nutritional options such as Almond Flax Seed Waffles (p. 52), along with Frozen Berry Smoothies (p. 57). Lunch recipes include different dishes such as Avocado Soup (p. 64), with nutritional bone broth providing a good base for the soup, and Shrimp Skewer with Warm Mushroom Salad (p. 76), complete with mushrooms, arugula, and walnuts to accompany the shrimp. There are Dinner dishes that are delicious and provide great nutrition, including Lemon-Basil Chicken (p. 103), Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers (p. 115), and Slow Cooked Pulled Pork (p. 118). Side Dishes like Bacon & Brussels Sprouts Carbonara (p. 123) and Creamed Spinach (p. 128) will complement main dish meats very nicely. The Desserts section may look like full sugar offerings, but the author has used sugar substitutes such as liquid stevia to add the sweetness. Recipes such as Sweet Nut Clusters (p. 133) and Coconut Milk Custard (p. 137) will have eaters not missing the traditional sugar. With many snack recipes that include chips, spreads, and crackers, there are many non-sweet treats that can provide nutritional value. Overall, I would not recommend Quick and Healthy Keto Zone Cookbook as a diet book, but there are some bona-fide good recipes that would be a good addition to any table.

Fairly comprehensive Keto cookbook with a nice variety of recipes, many of which are easy to make and don't require expensive or hard-to-find ingredients. Would be good for individuals new to the Keto lifestyle.

Helpful cookbook for those interested in keto or low carb recipes. Most recipes are relatively simple and use either the oven or stovetop. Recipes vary from breakfast to dips and desserts.

I read an incomplete advance digital copy without photos - I can only imagine the finished product will be a great book.

A good Keto resource with some very informative and interesting information. The recipes are well thought out and simple to make with a good selection of different dishes. A Keto beginner could pick this book up and get a good idea of the way of eating without too much difficulty. A good book that I will refer to often.

The Quick and Healthy Keto Zone Cookbook is just that, a cookbook. If you are just beginning your Keto journey this might be okay. This cookbook has very basic recipes that can be found on almost any blog or google search. I’d you have any experience in Keto this is not the book for you. Unfortunately, I found this book boring and any lifestyle books that cannot keep me engaged in the first couple of pages is a no-go for me.

A very informative read about Keto dieting and lifestyle. The author has included many easy to make receipes and reasons behind Keto living. While its not for me I was interested in finding out more about Keto and found here all I needed to know about this lifestyle of eating a heavy meat diet. I would caution everyone that is interested to read about this style of eating plan first and this book is a excellent guide to Keto to get anyone started.

*thank you to Netgalley and Worthy Publishing for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

3 stars.

Umm. With the main focus of this book being on recipes based on the Keto diet foods, then yeah it does give a wide variety of options for all your main meals and deserts. I didnt so much like the beginning of this. It felt like just another diet book and if you are wanting to 'diet' then yeah, this book would be great for you. But if you are looking for a complete long term lifestyle change, you wouldn't go on a diet for that, as the very word diet is for short term or temporary. But maybe I'm getting off track. There is one section where the author lists all the things this Diet will help you benefit from. I am quite sceptical of a few of them, the main being that it will make you feel happy. A particular diet itself wont do that. Plus, it all comes down to, at the end of the day, calories in verses calories out. If you eat under your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure/BMR plus Calories burned) you will more likely lose weight, and if you eat over it, you will more likely gain weight.

Still, there were points I agreed with. That knowing the difference between healthy fats and bad fats is definitely something to look into as the Keto diet does state to eat high fat but it has to be HEALTHY fat. I also liked that the recipes do state what the calories, fat, protein, carb and fiber content of each recipe comes to. Which will be very handy to those who are quite new to following the nutritional values of what they eat.

Overall this isn't a bad book. It does have good recipes with easy and clear instructions and that's what it comes down to. But would I recommend this? Well, I will never recommend dieting but if you are going to use this as a lifestyle change, it could be quite helpful. Do I recommend eating low carb, high fat and moderate protein foods? Yes. But you don't have to be so strict with it as diets tell you to be. Which is why I like the recipes in this. There is variety and of course there are plenty more out there but this book is best for beginners and those just wanting to try new ideas.
