Unfortunately this book was not for me, it was a bit slower than I would like and it just didn't hold my attention. I am sure other people will love it!

This was my first read from the author and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought she did an excellent job of making the reader feel the character's dread as she's stalked. I think the tale was gripping and really explored the complexities of maternal relationships. The switching POVs were somewhat abrupt but otherwise I really liked She Chose Me.

She Chose Me is Tracey Emerson's debut psychological thriller, and a powerful and emotional journey on the issue of motherhood

This grabbed me from the blurb. It was tense and eerie and I felt quite a strong sense of foreboding at times, The premise was good but I found it did dip in parts and I thought at times, it was a little difficult trying to ascertain whether it was Grace or Emma as the central character in the different chapters as it wasn't clearly indicated. The subject matter was tough, gritty even- murder, adoption, love- and it was well dealt with. For the most part I did enjoy this thriller. I give 3 and a half stars.

Cheers to Tracey Emerson for a really well written, twisted, twisty and dark tale all wrapped up in a pretty psycho bow. The characters were nice and detailed.
Thank you for my free ARC in exchange for my nest review.

#SheChoseMe is a debut novel for Tracey Emerson. It presents the story from multiple POVs, which is slightly confusing at the start, but once you settle in to the rhythm of the chapters it becomes fairly straight forward to understand who is telling the story.

For me the book was pretty well written for a first attempt. I didn't absolutely love it, but I was interested enough throughout the story to see the layers of the onion be revealed that I was happy to keep reading. Once I got to Part 2 the story did pick up in interest and the twists of the story started. There is also a creepy factor to the story that is compelling, and really sits near the heart of the story.

All in all I found this to be a good read and give it 8 of 10 stars.

I am thankful to the publisher as well as #NetGalley for a free copy of the book in exchange for my thoughts and opinions.

I am a huge fan of psychological thrillers and was excited to read She Chose Me by Tracey Emerson after reading the book description and it didn’t let me down.

Each chapter was told by Cassie, Emma, Grace or Grace 20 year’s previous points of view. Sometimes I did struggle with who was telling which chapter until I was a little further down. That did not spoil the enjoyment of it though.

There was so much tension in this, quite frightening at times when you really think about it and think this could happen and probably does.

It was emotionally packed and had an ending I was not expecting.

Well written, fast paced and absolutely compelling, I would definitely recommend it.

I read this fantastic book in three days. Fast-paced, dark and unsettling, this is an intelligently written, edge-of-your-seat thriller. A compelling pageturner with a satisfying ending and a late twist that I didn’t see coming, I highly recommend!

I was captivated by this book, really couldn't put it down! It's dark and more than a bit twisted but compelling. Raced through it in less than 2 days and am definitely going to look out for more than Tracey Emerson in the future! Highly recommended.

This is a great debut novel by Tracey Emerson. It is a psychological thriller containing all of the necessary components , suspense, mystery, unusual family dynamics, subterfuge and love. The two main protagonists, Grace and Emma are very well fleshed out and are the mainstays of the novel. I must admit, that for me, there was some confusion on who was referred to in each chapter. It took me a few chapters before figuring out the storyline for each of the two main characters and who the chapter referred to. Wish it had been a little more straightforward so I wouldn’t have had to go back and reread portions of it to keep people and events straight in my mind. All in all, I did enjoy this book and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. A solid four star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to Legend Press and NetGally for an advance copy read for an honest review.

First, thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to read an e-galley of this book.

This book was amazing! So creatively written, the suspense just about killed me! The story goes back and forth, mostly in the voices of Grace and Emma, but sometimes, I wasn't sure who was who or what was what.....but I knew it would all be clear in the end. What an amazing end it was!

Grace comes home to care for her dying mother after 20 years. First, someone sends her an anonymous Mother's Day Card, then other things appear, and different things disappear. Grace's life seems to be unraveling. In the meantime, her mother has an amazing caregiver named Emma, who seems to have some issues of her own.

This was a story that I had to finish before the day was over, because I couldn't put it down! Well done!

Every choice has a consequence. Grace has returned to her childhood home to care for her mother. She is having an affair with a married man. Her story moves forward from there. Someone is sending her messages that revolve around a decision she made many years ago. Her response will surprise you in the end. A good read with a few false starts and stops but you'll be glad you finished the story.

What a way to start the new year!
Absolutely loved this book. The story got me from the beginning. Though I got an idea quite early in the story I could not wait to find out what actually happens.
For me the ending was very satisfying and exactly what I expect from a good story.

5/5 stars for She Chose Me by Tracey Emerson!

I could NOT put this book down! I loved this book because its not your typical domestic thriller - but still had me reading way past my bedtime because I was dying to know more.

I loved the twists and turns the author wrote into the story, and would highly recommend that you add this book to your TBR shelf!

Many thanks to the publisher and netgalley, who provided a free ecopy in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you Legend Press and NetGalley for the ARC.

The book was a little confusing for me when I first started (possibly because I wasn't pay attention to the dates at the start of each chapter)

Once I got that squared away, it was an enjoyable read. There is a flip back between each character as the story unfolds and I liked seeing the developing of the story through each POV.

This looks to be the debut novel of the author but will definitely keep her on my watchlist for future works.
