Short--very short. But fun--very fun. Happy, colorful, cartoony illustrations of children will bring smiles as beginning readers turn the pages of this sweet picture book. I like to play tennis. I like to draw. I like to dance. I like to make music. I like to play. I like to laugh . . . and more (ten “likes”). Five stars for cuteness.

This is a very beginning reader book. The repetitive sentences are unthreatening and the illustrations will help the kids decipher the endings.

This is a delightful book which features one simple sentence per page. The fun kid-friendly illustrations will help kids read the vocabulary presented and be a catalyst for discussion about things that they like to do.

It showcases kids in all sorts of scenarios. They participate in such activities as: playing tennis, drawing, dancing, making music, laughing, going to school, running and singing, just to name a few.

This book is part of the Reading Stars series. The collection is perfect for beginning readers. It includes a note to parents and caregivers with tips on how to utilize the book to help your child read the book and also has a comprehensive word list at the end. I would recommend this book not only for reading together at home but also for a primary classroom and also a school library.

The series is designed to build confidence in even the earliest readers. It's desire is to help children develop a lifetime love of reading and it is their belief that "every child can be a reading star!"

This is a simple begging book about th8 gs kids like to do. There are fun illustrations to help kids with words they may not know. Early level early reader good for any gender, but there could have been a broader ethnicity in the illustrations.

This book is from the Reading Stars series. It is a simple book for beginning readers to build confidence when learning to read. This is a repetitive story with each page following the pattern: I like to .... . There are large, bright, simple illustrations on each page that will provide reading clues to the reader. There is also a nice note to parents and caregivers with suggestions to help their child read this book. A good book for a family library or a primary classroom where there are many beginning readers. The publisher, Xist Publishing, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read. The rating, ideas and opinions are my own.

Both dancers and vine swingers are featured at the start of this book about things kids like to do, ending with a friendship note.
Incredibly simple, but that’s the point, as this is designed to be one of the first books a child picks up when starting to read. The artwork is fun enough, but not the point; this is made for reading out loud.
3.5 pushed up to 4/5

Very cute illustrations and diverse children pictured. Very simple, but seems like a good way to teach children verbs.

Great first reader with sentences beginning with “I Like …” It shows a variety of activities such as draw, dance, run and more. Good words for kids to begin reading that also help show that kids can like different things and still be friends. Nice and fun illustrations provide the child with the idea that kids can be difference too: cross-eyed, glasses, difference color hair or skin. This book shows a great variety of differences and ending in the fact that regardless, we can all be friends. What a great thought!!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
