Another engaging, photographic offering in the “My Favorite” series. Basic concepts are covered in a simple, easy-to-read manner. Types of planes (cargo or passenger), types of engines (jet or propeller), where airplanes land, the pilot, and more. Simple quiz questions appear throughout with the answers at the back of the book. Cute, and just the thing for a preschooler to read before his or her first airplane trip.

Thank you to NetGalley and Xist Publishing for the ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
This is a great introduction to the world of airplanes and air travel. I would say the target age is three to five years old. The images are beautiful and I love the way the book tries to engage the young reader by asking questions to review the presented facts.

Very pre-school I would say. Interesting I suppose. The boys thought it was okay but I think they are too old for this book. It was okay but not a book I would seek out.

This is a basic introduction to airplanes for younger children.
It gives them some images and descriptions about the different planes and what they do but I found it to be very basic in some aspects and I did feel it could have been better.
Three stars from me for this one

This is a great book for young readers about airplanes. Lots of good information and pictures. Would be a great gift for a child who might be flying for the first time.

Like the rest of this series, the artwork consists of photos rather than drawings, a good idea in order to explain. . . well, what the title says.
Pretty complicated ideas are dealt with very simply.
Some of the photos look more like photoshop or even clip art, but they don’t detract from the simple narrative.
3.5 pushed up to 4/5

Fabulous information book. Stunningly captured photos that will entertain any age fans of transport. My seven year old loved the realism of the photos.
The information is presented and suited to children of a much younger age, but nevertheless he still enjoyed the book.

This is a very, very basic primer for the very, very young concerning airplanes. I think the photos could have been a bit 'sexier', but there certainly isn't much in the way of text to discuss.
