I think a good rule of thumb to go by is that Scott Snyder will never leave you disappointed. I enjoyed this revamp of the Justice League and its tie into Dark Nights: Metal, but I think those unaware of that storyline will be left lost and confused. So, while this is essentially volume one of the Justice League, the more prior knowledge you have of the league and their Metal adventures, the better.

That being said, I always enjoy a graphic novel where Batman is heckled by his friends for being Batman. It seems to bring everyone together and Batman always ends up proving his worth-solidifying his position within the league. I found the art vibrant and captivating, lingering on pages just so that I could take in every minute detail. In the end, if you are a fan of the Justice League and/or if you enjoyed the story line of Dark Nights: Metal, then this graphic novel is for you.

This was fantastic. The story, the art, the dialogue. Everything. I was a huge fan of Snyder's work on Batman, but didn't enjoy Metal as much as I'd hoped I would. But he is back at the top of his game in this volume of Justice League. The story is huge and epic and grabs you from page one. Likewise, the art is beautiful, bright and crisp, everything a blockbuster like this should be. I can't wait to see where Snyder takes us.
