This is not a book for beginners. Evelyn C. Rysdyk has another book, Spirit Walking: A Course in Shamanic Power that will be of help to anyone starting this journey. She also, advises to find a teacher for one on one help. A nineteenth century king describes Nepal as a " garden for all types of people”. This book will help to understand the rituals of ceremonies for many needs. It tells of the barriers and how to get rid of them and to find true meaning to the Shamanic path. Setting up alters and everything you need to prepare to request a favor from the Gods is discussed. I really like that she included a disclaimer for medical needs as this something many forget. I recommend this book for those serious about taking this journey. You don't have to go to Nepal on your spiritual quest. This book tells of the authors' deep spiritual experience while she was there with teachers of this faith. I received this book from Net Galley and Inner Traditions for a honest review and no compensation otherwise. The opinions and thoughts are my own.
