Loading Penguin Hugs by Jacqueline Chen was pretty cute but ultimately mostly forgettable for me to be completely honest.

'Loading Penguin Hugs: Heartwarming Comics from Chibird' by Jacqueline Chen is a series of drawings of cute animals and affirmations designed to help the reader feel good.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this, but I really liked what I read. With topics like self-esteem, mental health and bad days, and a handy index at the back for those quick shots of needed positivity.

This was just the shot of happiness I needed. The affirmations are nice without being cloying. The drawings are also fun.

Esta es una lectura corta, solo tiene aproximadamente 88 páginas. En realidad, hojeé todo el libro en mi almuerzo. Así que definitivamente es un libro que recomiendo si quieres una lectura corta pero divertida.

This short book features several small motivationcal sentences accompannied by adorable drawings.

These sentences are often linked to poor mental health, and they try to make you feel better.

All in all, this was a cute book. But would I buy this for myself? Probably not.

So adorable!! The illustrations are giving me life, and this whole book just put me in a better mood for the day. I loved it and hope the author will continue on with the comic, as I absolutely loved it.

I read this comic a couple of months ago but didn't find the time to review it. I didn't know anything about Jacqueline Chen in advance but I quite enjoyed Loading Penguin Hugs. At first, I didn't realise this was a collection of comics and not a story.

The comics were cute, motivational and fun to read. I will definitely check out more of Chen's work in the future! The comics were indeed heart-warming and I read this at the right time. Everyone can use a motivational penguin every once in a while.

Later, I actually saw one of Chen's penguin on an English exam made by a colleague wishing her students good luck.

This collection is one I would like to reread every time I'm in the need of a penguin hug. I highly recommend it and I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars!

THis is more illustrated affirmations that true comics. No witicisms or clever observations. Positivity provided in a visual format. The illustrations are simple but that ads to their appeal.

I have seen Jacqueline Chen's art around the internet without knowing who she was, and now I'm really glad to be able to put a name to her absolutely adorable illustrations. This little book focuses on self-care and positivity, and while it might feel cloying to folks who don't struggle with those issues, I really, really appreciated it and am going to have to buy a copy for myself and a few friends.

What an adorable and uplifting read! I would highly recommend picking up Loading Penguin Hugs and keeping it at your bedside for those moments when you're having a bad day or just feeling a little sad. This quick read brought a smile to my face in seconds!

I follow this artist from tumblr and I love her art. It's adorable and heartwarming and always makes me smile. This book was a quick, easy and uplifting read. The illustrations are colorful and cuddly. There isn’t necessarily a connecting thread in the pages and some messages came across as redundant and repetitive but it didn’t bother me too much. This is definitely a book that requires you to have it as a physical copy so you can open it on a random page when you’re feeling under the weather and get a burst of positivity and cuteness.

This was such a cute graphic novel! It featured motivational animals making it perfect for when you need encouragement.
I loved the art style and the simple, yet effective, motivational phrases. It is the perfect book to have around and pick up when you need a little boost of confidence. I recommend it.

This was quite possibly the most adorable and uplifting book I've read all year. This is definitely the type of book you would want to keep on your desk or nearby and pick it up from time to time to flip to random pages. The artwork is bright and colorful and each graphic suits the simple message on each page. Any page in this book could be a poster or inspirational message. It's a very quick book, but will give anyone who reads it a quick smile and could completely change their mood if they need a pick me up.

Sending Penguin hugs is simply the cutest motivational book I've ever read, the illustrations are the sweetest and the text is short and will not fail to make you smile.

This is definitely the most I have smiled through a self-help book and I left the book feeling happy and content!

Tried to download but file was corrupted and it wouldn't open in Adobe Digital Editions. A real shame as I was very much looking forward to reading this book!

This is a lovely little comic full of kawaii characters with happy and optimistic sayings. They are cute and sweet, nice to scan and uplift yourself. I'd say it is more of a stocking filler and they are probably better suited to postcards or memes than an actual book form but I liked reading through them. I probably wouldn't read again though.
