'Tis the season to be inundated with Christmas movies spreading loads and loads of holiday cheer. While I'm finding a lot of the movies on a certain channel to be repetitive and formulaic, I found The White Christmas Inn to be more grounded but still retain a spark of that Christmas miracle that keeps everyone hopeful.

The novel features several stories of families and friends descending upon the inn close to Christmas. Jeanne and Tim have owned inn for a number of years, however the cost and responsibility of running a business and the new competition closeby have put a strain on their marriage. This could be the last Christmas that they have at the inn. Such sad thoughts have to be set aside so that they can focus on their guests and the wedding they're hosting. The reader soon learns that each guest at the inn for the week has their own story and it's happenstance that most of them are brought together because of a blizzard that has shut down all the roads.

I chose to read The White Christmas Inn because of the beautiful cover that made me think of a warm, cozy fireplace, hot chocolate and fuzzy blankets. It's an inviting cover and I went in without reading the blurb. I enjoyed the individual stories and rooting for all the characters. During the holidays we all want to believe in miracles and witness the best in people. Without allowing itself to get too bogged down in the details, The White Christmas Inn is a glimpse in to some of the everyday struggles people go through, disappointments, love and second chances. We see how they pull through and it the end it's the perfect holiday story about the renewal of faith in love. Holiday reading with joyful endings - definitely add this to your Christmas reading list!

Jeanne and Tom think this will be the last Christmas for their beautiful quaint Inn because they can't compete with the new fancy ski lodge a few miles away. They are ready for writer Molly and Bride Hannah but a winter storm brings several unexpected guests. As the guests ride out the weather they interact and get to know each other. A nice feel good story that's an easy read with the required Christmas miracle. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I absolutely adore this book. The characters all arriving just in time to get snowed in, the real life relationship problems, it was the perfect book to curl up with by the fire or under a blanket on a cold day before the holidays.

The White Christmas Inn is a sweet, feel good Christmas story. Light and easy to read, the author definitely has some talent and the overall idea for the story was great. She did a lovely job of describing the setting and it gave me all the Christmas feels.

My one big issue is that there were just too many characters and storylines happening all together. I prefer more development from my stories than what was provided in this book. Cutting out just one couple would have made a big difference. Since the characters are weak, it affected everything else in the book. So good ideas but the execution didn’t completely work for me.

Still a quick and enjoyable read though.

The White Christmas Inn is about an adorable little inn in New England run by a married couple. They took a chance and quit their corporate jobs a few years back to start the inn, but now with a larger hotel near by, things are not going so well and they plan to shut down after one last special Christmas. The daughter of a regular inn customer has decided to have her wedding at the inn on Christmas.

Of course, these aren’t the only characters in this story. A whole cast of characters arrive at the inn desperate for a place to stay with a snowstorm building outside. Some are forced to share space, while others take up residence on the living room couches. The food delivery that was supposed to arrive for the wedding cannot make it due to the storm and nothing is going as planned.

Though mostly predictable, this was a fun little holiday read. There is heartbreak and budding romances, plenty of snow, and lots of warm and cozy scenes. If you’re looking for a quick read to get you into the holiday spirit, The White Christmas Inn will definitely do the trick!

Thank you so much to Atria books for sending me a copy for review!

What a charming story. I loved being trapped at the inn with these characters during a winter storm. I could visualize the snow falling and the beautiful piles the following day.

With as many point of views that this book had I wondered if I could connect with the characters. But I did. I looked forward to each chapter and seeing what was going on that character’s life.

If you are looking for a cozy Christmas read, full of the hope of the season I recommend this one.

A copy of this book was given to me through Netgalley.com. All opinions are my own.

First of all, I'd like to say, I adore this cover! It reminds me of home in the country! And may I say, it's perfect for this story?

This is the story that I actually wanted to be in! I wanted to be at the Inn right now, admiring all the decorations, smelling all the scents of Christmas, and the cooking! Right there in the middle of nowhere, basically with lots of snow after the blizzard. The author was speaking my language as soon as I read the first page. I did not put the Nook down until i was done 3 hours later. Talk about miracles of all miracles for everyone! (well except for one, but you have to read on to see what I mean!)

If you want to experience

the aftermath of a blizzard

an inn in the middle of the country

the cozy country feel inside of an inn

Christmas theme

Food

Lit fireplace

Different families

Sleigh rides

Children giggling and squealing

Romance

and much much more,

then this book is for you.

You'll fall in love with each of the characters. You just simply want to be part of them. The ending was great!

I wouldn't mind reading more books by Colleen Wright. She has a way of bring bunch of characters together without confusing anyone. She can sew each square of the character's stories together effortlessly and flawlessly.

Go and get this book if you're in the mood for Christmas. It's not just romance. It's about family, friends, faith, hope, and miracles. It'll do your soul good! Seriously, this is one of those awesome feel good novel you'd want with cookies and hot chocolate! You'll regret not reading it!

4 and 1/2 stars from me!

I received this wonderful ARC from Howard Books through Net Galley. Thank you!

I enjoyed the story lines in this book. They were all different but carried a similar thread. I liked all the characters, some more than others but what fun it was.

I enjoyed this heartwarming Christmas story from beginning to end. Everyone at the Inn had a certain expectation for Christmas and yet nothing has gone as planned for anyone to all their dismay.
But with a lot of hope and a little faith, this may turn out to be the best Christmas ever.

This is the perfect book for Christmas. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this book. The setting of the story in the Inn works so well. The stories of the guests wove together seamlessly and I never felt lost in the story. There’s love and hope all throughout this book, and the ending tied everything together so well. The characters are loveable, and each had their own part to play in the story.

This is a clean and sweet story with no foul language or embarrassing scenes. It’s a great example of how a well-written book does not need those things to make a wonderful story.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

What a beautiful story THE WHITE CHRISTMAS INN is! The cover just screams holidays to me and I was in love with it the first time I saw it! Once I started reading, it was very hard to stop! The twists and turns made it impossible to put down, as I had to know what was going to happen to Molly and Hannah. What an awesome story. All of Colleen’s characters feel genuine and relatable and put your emotions on one heck of a roller coaster ride. As you are reading, you will find yourself cheering for all of them, praying they can work out their problems and be happy once again.

THE WHITE CHRISTMAS INN takes place in Vermont just before Christmas. Hannah is supposed to be getting married there but her fiancé has just dropped a bombshell on her. Molly is at the inn trying to break through her writers block and get busy on her next book.It had me flipping through the pages like a woman on a mission. I had to know what was going to happen to Molly and Hannah and all of the secondary characters. THE WHITE CHRISTMAS INN is a heart felt story that will hold you hostage until the very last page. Once you start reading, it will be very hard to put down!

Colleen Wright really knows how to write about personal struggles, family, and forgiveness. Even though this is my first book by Colleen Wright I can not wait to read more by this wonderful and heart tugging author. THE WHITE CHRISTMAS INN plays out just like a Hallmark Holiday movie that we all can’t help but watch.

3.5 stars rounded to 3 stars

First of all, look at that terrific cover. And I love the title too. Because of these features, this book was love at first sight for me. I know, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but my last book was a head banger and I was ready to fluff out—and this book did not disappoint.

Hannah is supposed to get married at this beautiful little inn in Vermont over Christmas. The inn owners are looking at their last Christmas at their beloved inn as local competition has badly hurt their business. Molly is a children’s book author with writer’s block. Widower Marcus and his two little girls cannot reach their destination because of the blizzard of all blizzards, but there is room for them at the White Christmas Inn. And Geoffrey Godwin? Well, he’s certainly a strange one. These little arcs and others are at the core of the story, which takes place over a three-day period during a monster snowstorm.

I enjoyed this novel, but I would have liked it even better if it had been a bit meatier. I think deeper character development and perhaps one or two fewer subplots would have beefed up the book considerably. I would have also liked a little more description of the raging blizzard for atmospheric purposes. Having said that, I did like what I saw in the characters and had no problems flipping the pages. And the description regarding the holiday season was wonderful. There was also terrific detail regarding the holiday menus--YUM! Finally, I must give the author kudos for that nice totally unexpected twist at the end.

If you are in the mood for a heartwarming, holiday-themed quick read that scores high on the fluff factor, this one is for you. It certainly fit the bill for me. Of note this is Ms. Wright’s debut novel, and I expect her craft to grow. I would not hesitate to read her next offering.

Many thanks to Net Galley, Howard Books, and Ms. Colleen Wright for an advanced review copy of the book. Opinions are mine alone and are unbiased in any way.

4-4.5 Stars - I didn't know what to expect from this book. It was the author's debut, but the cover image drew me in. I'm so glad that I took a chance on a new book and author! This book has all of the charm of a Hallmark movie but with the changing perspectives of a (more PG) Love Actually, mixed with The Dragonfly Inn in Gilmore Girls. I loved the description of the inn, the quirky characters, and their sweet interactions. I loved seeing how empty-nesters, a single dad of two girls, struggling business owners, single elderly folks, a young wilderness guide, a jilted bride, and a children's author join together to celebrate Christmas. I think that Molly (the children's writer) was my favorite character, I was most excited to see what would happen with her plot. The only thing I would add to this book would be an epilogue. :)

I really liked this very charming multi-storyline book. A snow storm at Christmas time brings together a wonderful group of characters who's live touch each other in such a heartwarming way. Jeanne and Tim worried about the future of their inn. Molly Is hoping the scenery will help with her writers block. Marcus and his adorable daughters are looking for a place to wait out the storm. Hannah is supposed to get married and her best friend, Audrey, whose military husband didn't make it before the storm. New love, rekindled love and great friendships. This book is a great way to pass a cold winters evening.

I started this book with a lot of hesitation. Sometimes multiple storyline books confuse readers and everyone loses focus. I’m surprised to say that this story will not do that to you. As a fair warning, this is definitely a feel good novel, and to me, a welcomed break from all the heavy romance genre troupes I was reading. I found myself enjoying everyone’s individual storyline and especially watching as their different relationships flourish. The vast array of encounters ensures that readers will connect with at least one pairing. As I reached the end I almost was sad that I wouldn’t get to know more about my favorite characters. Not only was this book four out of five stars, but it has major Christmas movie potential.

A lovely story full of hope, family, friendship and love. A diverse group of people are gathered together at a picturesque Vermont inn over Christmas. People with broken plans, broken dreams, and broken families find a home for the holidays, and a healing place to begin again.
The story was told in a way like a series of snapshots, moving between scenes featuring different characters. Eventually the group gathers together in a closer family atmosphere as they celebrate Christmas. The lovely descriptions of the snowy setting and old inn, so perfect for a holiday story, made it easy to imagine. Just like a picture postcard. Out of all the characters, I really liked Luke with his genuine, kind, servant's heart. Molly also was a sweet person who reaches out to help and is blessed in return.
An enjoyable read, perfect for an afternoon escape, with hints of a clean romance or two.

Thank you to Howard Books & Netgalley for the chance to read and review this novel!

Are you all about Hallmark Christmas movies? If so, The White Christmas Inn is for you. Immediately, I was drawn to this book because two of my favorite Classic Christmas movie titles are joined together: White Christmas and Holiday Inn. This book doesn't have anything to do with the two movies, but all of the cozy Christmas feelings you'll receive are the same. Stranded in Vermont - check! Love connections - check! An adorable inn AND a sleigh - check!

I normally don't like books that tell a variety of perspectives from different characters, but I loved it in this book. It felt like I was watching a movie and getting to know each person individually made the story infinitely better, especially when we see these characters come together in the end. I can't even pick a favorite character because they all were equally interesting to me! I looked forward to each point-of-view and what would happen next. This was an easy four-star read and was exactly what I needed to give me a bit of cheer for the dreary weather we've been having. It feels like it should be Christmas season already!

This is the perfect quick read to add to your Holiday TBR list! Cozy up by the fire with a cup of cocoa and you'll be set to get lost in the experience of The White Christmas Inn. Luckily, you have plenty of time to get this book before Christmas, with the release slated for October 23rd!
