This is the first of the Bad Bachelors books I’ve read, and it worked well as a standalone. I tend to stay away from second chance romance, especially when it seems to be the fault of one person in particular that it didn’t work the first time around. But in this case, both Annie and Joseph had made mistakes that led them to this point. Based on the premise alone, I didn’t think I would be able to forgive Joe, so I really wasn’t sure how Annie was going to. But from the beginning, it is clear that Joseph has learned, grown, and made changes—and so has Annie.

There is some element of danger, in the plot, as the summary suggests, but this element was less satisfying to me than simply how Joseph and Annie talked through their problems. The depth of their relationship isn’t a particularly convincing hate-to-love shift, however, and I’d have liked more in that respect.

An advanced copy of this book was made available to me by the publisher on NetGalley.

I thought I could get past the hero been engaged to another woman and the fact that this is a second chance romance, but I couldn't. Maybe it's because the ring the other woman was wearing belonged to Joe's grandmother and it would have been perfect for the heroine, but he gave it to another woman while he still had feelings for Annie. Maybe it's because Annie's plans included crying over the anniversary of their breakup while he had obviously moved on and was about to marry another woman. Maybe it was the timeline because in three years the dude moved to another country, met a woman, got engaged and if she hadn't broken off things with him he could have been married to her by the time Annie got blackmailed. The reason why Annie and Joe broke up was stupid and they could worked things out and they could have tried the long distance thing. Joe was selfish and was acting like a child which made me hate him from page one. The prologue was also a good way to make me dislike Annie because she was also acting like a kid, so I guess that's the reason they never tried the long distance thing. For a couple that was half a decade together, they were lacking some communication skills.

The Bad Bachelors series has been such a treat overall. I have to say though that this finale was easily one of my most anticipated books of 2019. I couldn't wait to find out more about the woman behind the Bad Bachelor app that was wreaking havoc in NYC and all about the man who broke her heart. Bad Influence delivered a strong romantic story that I am most definitely going to be revisiting in the future.

Joe and Annie used to be the IT couple before an unfortunate event forces them to break up with each other the eve of them leaving for a new life in Singapore. Joe leaves to pursue his dreams in Singapore, while Annie decides to stay behind in NYC. Broken-hearted, she creates an app for the women of NYC. Though her intentions were originally to safeguard the women of NYC hearts, the app soon creates more trouble than she imagined. I'll be honest, in the first two books, I wasn't 100% sure that I liked Annie, especially after her refusal to help out her friend, Remi, in the second book. London had to work hard to make her character work for me and she did a wonderful job. We finally get to see the motivations behind Annie's actions. Underneath it all was simply a woman who had been deeply hurt by someone she loved. It was hard not to sympathize with that. When Joe returns into her life out of the blue, she doesn't quite know how to handle her emotions. His return as well as the threats she has been getting in regards to her app force her to think about the consequences her app was having on people's lives. She goes through quite a bit of an emotional journey here, and I was very pleased with how her character turned around in such a positive way. It was obvious that Annie wasn't a bad person. Instead, she was someone with principles that didn't always work in her favor.

Joe was a new introduction to this series and I wound up really loving his character, as well. He was a driven man, almost to a fault. Although his passion, hard work, and desire to please his parents were admirable, it had also cost him his happiness. Like Annie, he too came to quite a few revelations in Bad Influence. These two certainly had to overcome a lot before they could get back together, but the journey was so fulfilling. They talked, they lashed out, but most importantly, they opened up about the hurt they caused each other. Annie and Joe were both equally to blame for their break up and Stefanie London does not brush over that here. They had to work hard to get back together, which made their relationship very realistic. Bad Influence had an intense, but emotionally satisfying romance and as always, London delivered on the chemistry. There were also a few relevant side plots with their respective families that only added to my enjoyment of the story.

Bad Influence was a great way to end this series. I'm going to miss these characters, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Stephanie London writes next.

I have very much enjoyed the Bad Bachelors series, and it’s bittersweet to be finally reading the last book. I have quite the thing for second chance romances, and reading about Annie, the creator of the Bad Bachelors app, and Joe, its inspiration, meeting again was absolute perfection. This is the third in the series, and while I think it could be read as a standalone, I think you’d miss some of the emotional impact if you haven’t read the rest of the series.

Three years ago, Annie was forced to make a choice. Go to Singapore as planned with her boyfriend, Joe, or stay in NYC with her mother, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. You can probably guess which she chose, and the resulting fallout led Annie to create the Bad Bachelors app, where women can rate and review their dates. Things have gotten a bit more out of control than Annie intended, and not only does Annie have to deal with threats against her due to the app, but Joe is also back in town, which she knows courtesy of a meet-disaster. Their attraction is still there, but is there any hope of mending the fractured relationship between them?

“I should have let you know I was coming home.”
“No.” She whirled around to face him, heat racing through her veins. “You shouldn’t have left in the first place. Then you wouldn’t have had to tell me you were coming home because you’d already be home.”

Annie is well-rooted in NYC, Manhattan where she lives now and Brooklyn were her family is. While self-sufficient, she’s part of a loving and rambunctious family that always has her back, and I loved them all. Joe’s relationship with his family is, well, dysfunctional. They don’t show affection, and part of taking the Singapore job – part of his ambitious nature – was to, hopefully, earn his father’s admiration (hint: it didn’t). While it broke Joe’s heart to leave Annie, his family had little sympathy for that as they always viewed her and her poor roots as a bad influence on him. For a good portion of the book I didn’t like Joe – what kind of hero leaves the woman he loves to deal with her mom’s cancer alone??? – but as we gradually came to understand more about his background and the events that led to the breakup, things made a lot more sense.

“Right then, it was like being in an alternate reality. One where he’d never left, where she’d never let her fear push him away. Where they had both been more mature and better equipped to deal with the curveballs that life had thrown them. Where they were exactly where they were supposed to be—together.”

I love second chance romances, and, besides the possibility of a do-over, which I think everyone wishes they have, I like how many times it becomes obvious that being apart has given both characters the opportunity to become better versions of themselves, people they couldn’t have been without that breakup. The root of their breakup was bad communication, and while I don’t generally like “one conversation would’ve fixed everything” books, this goes a bit deeper than that. While initially it feels like the blame should be on Joe for making her chose between going with him to Singapore or staying with her newly-diagnosed-with-cancer mom, it’s actually more nuanced. Joe’s issue is that she made her decision without his input. By the time she broaches the subject with him, there’s nothing left to discuss, and he feels like she’ll always put her family above him, while she had always been the first priority in his life. Without going into spoilers, this isn’t exactly true, though. While there’s been a lot of hurt on both sides, there’s also a decent amount of groveling (and Joe recognizes his actions hurt more than just Annie).

Overall, while I was initially out off by the hero, I found this a very satisfying conclusion to the series. While the first in the series is still my favorite, I’d recommend this one to any fan of contemporary romance who loves second chances!

I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

The ultimate second chance. For both of them. I thought I'd hate him with a passion, but nope, he had his reasons. Shouldn't have lasted 3 years and it was still a douche move.

Thought it wrapped the series up nicely

One True Love.

A good story that reminds us that communication, honesty and no secrets are essential for a relationship to survive. Family is not always about blood, but about those that accept us and love us for who we are, flaws an all.

Annie Maxwell was living the dream. She had an amazing boyfriend, a loving family, and was planning on moving to Singapore with her “almost” fiancé. But life had other plans. When Annie’s mom is diagnosed with cancer, she feels as though she needs to stay behind and be with her family through this difficult time. So Annie makes the difficult decision to not follow her dreams or at the very least, put them on hold in order to support her mom through treatment. What she doesn’t do, is discuss possible options with Joe.

Joe Preston, the only child of a wealthy family, has lived his life trying to prove himself. All he’s ever wanted was his father’s approval, his parent’s love. So Joe allows his dad to manipulate him into accepting the job in Singapore as a steppingstone to further his career. Without Annie by his side, Joe gets caught up in the parties and things that he despises in the corporate world. After three miserable years, Joe accepts a job as the youngest CIO for a major banking institution in NYC. Joe moves back to NYC with hopes of making things right with Annie and her family. He just didn’t expect to “run” into her so soon.

Bad Influence is absolutely the best novel in the series! Although this novel can be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading this series in order. After witnessing her best friends heartbreaks and experiencing her own devastating breakup, Annie decides to do something to help her fellow women. Annie anonymously designs The Bad Bachelor app where women can rate, review their dates. It was never meant to harm anyone, but it does. With a stalker claiming to reveal her identity, Annie contacts Joseph for help. Will Joe be able to keep Annie safe while trying to convince her he’s her One True Love?

Loved it, loved it, loved it! This story is about forgiveness, setting your hurt aside and allowing yourself a chance at true love. It’s about second chances and redemption. It’s about best friends, who may not always agree with each other and go weeks without speaking to each other, but ultimately KNOW they have each other’s backs. Best ending ever! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Annie…Annie…Annie… Annie Maxwell is the name everyone wants to know. She is the architect of the Bad Bachelor app. Whole online forums have been dedicated to villifiying her and the monster she created. She is a wanted woman and has the emails to prove it. Still, she stands by her creation—even to the detriment of her close friendship with ballerina Remi Drysdale (Bad Reputation). At least her other BFF Darcy Greer (Bad Bachelors) is still speaking to her.

Having taken up running to cope with her mother’s breast cancer treatment three years ago, Annie’s helping Darcy to train for a little 5K with her high profile fiance. Just as they begin the first jog on the first morning—BAM! Annie literally runs into Joseph Preston, her ex, and the impetus behind the creation of Bad Bachelors. He’s back from Singapore and now he’s soaking wet in his four-figure tailored suit after landing in a fountain in Central Park.

Even though this is the first time we’ve met Joseph Preston, we’ve had two books in the Bad Bachelors Series to hate this man. It’s very satisfying as Annie gives no purchase to Joseph after this encounter. I would have thought less of both Annie and author Stefanie London if she had. So where do we go from here? It’s clear that Annie is strong enough to never see Joseph again if that’s what she really wanted. Unfortunately, one of her haters has made it through all her defenses and is now threatening her. She needs an expert in IT security, one who can keep her anonymity, one who wants what’s best for her. Joseph is really the only man for the job.

What follows is a relationship of necessity while approprite apologies are made for the choices made three years ago when Joseph chose his career over Annie, and Annie chose herself over Joseph. No one is faultless in this break-up. We’ve had cause to dislike Annie as well in the first two books which makes it a little easier to forgive Joseph and allow them to work it out. The length of the book didn’t allow for it, but it’s unfortunate we didn’t get to know Annie before the advent of the Bad Bachelors app and how Joseph’s departure changed her. In a nice twist, and in departure from the first two books, the title, Bad Influence, references Annie, not bachelor Joseph, when he accuses her of being a bad influence on him. The reader is put in the position of forgiving both of them and I’m not entirely sure I liked her enough, at least before the peak crisis, to do so. It’s to London’s credit that I was emotionally conflicted.

I have to give additional credit to London for once again including the mothers in this story as both good and bad. That is a difficult line to walk since we like to pigeonhole characters, especially mothers, in fiction. Annie notes, “There wasn’t a bad feeling the world that couldn’t be soothed by a warm, maternal embrace.“ Joseph’s mother, not warm or maternal, does play a positive role in the resolution of the story.

The ending puts a very tidy bow on the story and the trilogy. The reader is left feeling complete. Overall, I enjoyed the read and finished it in a single day. I think it went quickly because it was the last book and we didn’t need a lot of retelling of the earlier books to set it up. If you’ve read the first two, don’t hesitate to pre-order this one. If you haven’t, you get to read the trilogy complete without having to wait to see what happens. Get started!

My Rating: B+ Liked It A Lot

4.5 Stars for Bad Influence book 3 in the Bad Bachelors Series.
This is book I have been waiting for and it did not disappoint, I was so excited to get the back ground on the guy that started it all the guy that broke Annie Maxwell’s heart so badly she started the Bad Boys App and website. Joe has moved back to New York for a job opportunity but it’s not only the job that pulled him back to his hometown the added draw was always Annie but could these two put the past behind them and admit they still have feelings for each other. Sometimes in life we have to follow our hearts and put logic behind us because some things or some people are worth fighting for.
Bad Influence is the final book in this great series and for me it was the perfect ending, it tied all the loose ends together and everyone got their HEA. Second chance romance at its best and it captivated me from the first page to the last line. The storyline flowed and the characters had sizzling chemistry as well as the perfect hint of banter between them. I love this series and I loved Annie and Joe’s story and now I’m looking forward to what’s next from this very talented author.

Annie Maxwell and Joe Preston were so in love, but they ended up going their separate ways with Joe leaving at a time when Annie needed him the most. However, now Joe is back in New York and determined to make things right with Annie. Except he finds that might be impossible, especially considering everything she's done after he left that has now brought trouble into her life. Will Joe be able to help Annie and keep her safe or will they lose their second chance at happy ever after because she can't forgive him?

Being a total fan of Ms. London's books, I've got to say that this is her best series yet. With each book entertaining me from start to finish because of the fantastic characters, compelling dialogue and wonderfully-crafted plots that had me loving the challenges each couple face to be together. The way this story started with the prologue had me sympathizing with Annie and Joe, as Annie has a tough choice to make. Did she make the right one? However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine are reunited where this story really takes off because Joe is determined to push Annie's buttons.

As for the dialogue, it was highly entertaining and a wonderful combination of intense moments due to the main characters back stories, the threats Annie is receiving and the protectiveness of the heroine's friends and family that don't make it easy for Annie to forgive and forget how badly Joe hurt her when they went their separate ways years earlier; and playful banter that had me enjoying the growing relationship between Joe and Annie, as they find their way back together. Furthermore, I loved the range of emotion Ms. London brought to this story, which had me smiling, laughing, wanting to cry and left me with happy tears, as this couple overcome the tough obstacles they face to be together. Will Joe be able to win Annie and her family and friends over? Will Joe be able to help Annie get to the bottom of who is threatening her? Will Joe be able to finally make his parents understand that Annie is the one he wants to be with and will they accept her as part of the Preston family?

With the main characters, I absolutely loved Joe. He's smart, driven, hard-working and I liked how determined he was to win Annie over because he's never gotten over her and feels guilty for leaving when she needed him most. I also liked the decisions Joe makes throughout this story to show Annie that she'll always be the one he puts first from now on. No way will he let his family come between them. While the heroine, she's resilient, courageous and I liked how she handled Joe being back in her life. Then again, she has the help of good friends to support her. Furthermore, it's understandable why she was a little bitter over Joe leaving her and why she built the app she did to save other women from heartbreak. However, she never could have imagined how many problems it would create for her, especially someone threatening her. Will Joe be able to help Annie get to the bottom of who is threatening her before she gets hurt? Will Annie put her trust in Joe again because he's the only one that can help her?

Overall, Ms. London has delivered a fun, delightful and charming read in this book where emotions run high; the chemistry between this couple was off-the-charts; the romance was full of exquisite heat and passion and had me loving that these two find their way back to each other; and the ending had me loving the hero's determination to fight for his future with Annie. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up perfectly, as Annie finally has everything she's ever wanted for her life -- Joe, the support of friends and family, and finally making her dream come true of helping people. I would recommend Bad Influence by Stefanie London, if you enjoy contemporary romance with a touch of suspense, the second chance romance trope or books by authors Avery Flynn, Naima Simone, Erin Nicholas and Kristen Proby.

Having read the first 2 books in the series, I was anxious to read Annie’s book. I figured she had to have a good reason for starting the app (sorry, kind of a spoiler but come in, this is book 3 in the series, it’s hard to be too covert). Boy, did she ever! Joe was a jerk, plain and simple. Yes, Annie needed to have a conversation with him when she decided not to move with him. But Joe wanted what he wanted, regardless of Annie’s feelings. And then to get engaged...with the ring he was going to give Annie...mere months later?! Hard. Pass.
But believe it or not, I didn’t hate the book! I definitely didn’t like the hero, and yes, Annie was a little annoying at times, but I did really enjoy the premise and the writing style/pace of Stefanie London. I know enough about romance stories to know that even a HEA doesn’t guarantee I’m going to like the journey the couples takes to get there. I never thought of not finishing the book and I’m still a fan of the author. Not by favorite book by her, but certainly not the worst book I’ve ever read, either.

..............

The last book in the Bad Bachelor’s trilogy, the writing is just as sharp and the storyline just as clever as the first two books. Some series only have a passing nod to the previous books but these tie in nicely to each other. If you’re looking for a smart, modern storyline that can be a longer read (by getting all three) then this is for you. Books can also be standalone but I think then you’re missing part of the fun.

Bad Influence is the third and final book in the trilogy of stories involving the controversial website/app called Bad Bachelors, a means for women to honestly rate the men they date.  It’s a sexy, second-chance romance between the site’s creator, Annie Maxwell, and Joseph Preston, the man she loved and had planned a future with until circumstances forced them apart three years earlier.  I haven’t read the other two books, but there’s enough background detail here for the newbie to be able to read this instalment without feeling lost.

On the eve of their leaving the US and moving to Singapore, where Joseph had accepted a highly prestigious banking job, Annie learned her mother had breast cancer.  Instead of talking to Joseph about it, she shut him out of the decision-making process and decided she needed to stay at home to support her family and be with her mum.  It’s a decision that anyone would make in a similar situation and Joseph understood that – he was close to Annie’s family, too - but what hurt him so badly was that Annie made her choice without even consulting him.

Annie barely kept herself together after Joseph left, but it wasn’t until a year later – when she saw a photo of him with a glamorous woman on his arm in a gossip magazine that proclaimed the couple’s engagement – that Annie decided to channel her anger and hurt into something that might help other women to avoid similar heartbreak.  So Bad Bachelors was born.

Speculation is rife as to who is behind the site, and Annie has become used to the volume of mail she receives – both thanking her for creating it and calling her every kind of hateful bitch under the sun.  Some threats are worse than others, but Annie has not, so far, reported them to anyone, not wishing to compromise her anonymity.  Now though, one particular angry commenter has taken things a step further; when Annie receives a photo in the mail that was clearly taken by her own laptop camera, she realises that someone is actively stalking her, and that whoever it is has somehow managed to hack into her computer.  Which makes her wonder - what other aspects of her life has this person gained access to? And what are they planning to do?  Blackmail?  Worse?

Ms. London does a really good job of conveying Annie’s fear and sense of isolation when she realises she’s being stalked.  If she files an official report, her identity will be revealed, and she doesn’t want to worry her friends or family by involving them if it all turns out to be a stupid hoax.  There is literally only one person she can turn to for help – and he’s the last man on Earth she wants to ask.

Before taking the job in Singapore, Joseph had planned to use his expertise in IT to set up a company specialising in online security.  But he allowed himself to be persuaded by his cold, exacting father that the move abroad would be the best thing for his career – and he stayed in Singapore for three years before realising it was the wrong move for him.  He’s returned to New York, where he’s the youngest ever CIO at another major bank, and has decided it’s time for him to start pursuing his own ambitions and life-goals rather than to continue the attempt to win his father’s approbation.

He and Annie might have a lot of baggage between them, but there’s no way he’s going to turn down a request for help, not knowing how much it must be costing her pride to ask.  Annie tries to tell Joseph as little as possible about the stalker and certainly isn’t willing to own up to the reasons behind it – until another message makes it clear they’re not messing around and that they’ve hacked into Bad Bachelors and uncovered some very damaging information.

The time Annie and Joseph spend together of course enables them to thrash out their issues and for them both to finally admit that they each bear an equal weight of blame for their break-up.  They are still strongly attracted to each other and have never really fallen out of love, but Annie can’t help being incredibly wary; she knows Joseph is a decent guy, but the weight of his family’s disapproval of their relationship (Annie’s mum used to be the wealthy Prestons’ domestic help) and the long shadow cast by his father only added to the pressures on their relationship - and she isn’t prepared to go back there.  But Joseph has changed.  The years away have given him more confidence in himself and his abilities, and have shown him what he really wants from life.  And what he really wants is Annie.

Ratings sites and apps are nothing new or unusual, and the anonymity offered by the internet gives those determined to be unpleasant a place to hide every day (you’ve only got to look at Twitter to see that!)  I appreciated the author’s exploration of the online world we now inhabit, and the way she shows clearly how something that was originally intended to be helpful has grown beyond its creator’s original vision and become something that is probably hurting as many people as it has helped.

If you’ve been following the series, Bad Influence rounds things off nicely.  Joseph and Annie are well-drawn, complex characters, they have great chemistry and I was (mostly) rooting for them to get back together. I say mostly, because my opinion of Annie in the early stages was coloured by the fact that I found her view that the break-up was all Joseph’s fault to be immature – especially as it was her decision not to go abroad with him. As the book progressed, however, and I saw her character growth as she began to let go of her anger and to own up to her part in what happened, I started to come around and to think that perhaps she did deserve Joseph after all. That said, the reasons for their separation are really flimsy, so I had to do a bit of hand-waving away in order to accept it and get to the meat of the story.  Also on the negative side, the identity of the stalker is just … an odd choice, and the reveal is contrived and anti-climactic.

Otherwise, though, Bad Influence is an enjoyable contemporary romance that combines a look at some very relevant issues with a sensual love story and a hard-won HEA.  It earns a recommendation.

Wow, what a totally awesome novel from author Stefanie London. Bad Influence grabs you right from the beginning and the intriguing roller-coaster ride never loses momentum. Main characters Annie Maxwell and Joe Preston evolve into two brand new people by the end of the story. This is the third and final book from Ms. London's Bad Bachelors series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Three years ago Annie and Joe were madly in love and relocating to Singapore for Joe's technology career in corporate banking. At the last second, Annie found out her mother had cancer and decided to remain in New York City. During this turbulent time, Annie developed Bad Bachelors, a local app/website for women to leave reviews about the the men they dated. Although the app is a success, some of the negatively surrounding it is harrowing.

Joe is happy to be back home in NYC, after three years of hard work and a broken engagement. His new position as CIO for a large bank is everything he thought he wanted for himself, but he was wrong. Running into Annie at "their place" only confirmed that the love they once shared is still alive and well. So when Annie's app puts her safety in jeopardy, Joe is the one she calls for help.

This is a well-written novel book about courage and love, that twists and turns in all the right places. Annie and Joe's love was tangible and their sexy times were quite hot. Joe exuded a dominance that I found quite attractive. The secondary characters, family members and friends, added a lot of genuineness to the plot. Joe's father was beyond manipulative, while Annie's mom was a true Mama Bear. Overall, a solid romantic read that should not be missed.

Annie was a middle class woman and Joe came from a rich family and he wanted his rich and powerful father’s approval. Joe had Annie had known each other for a long time as Annie ’s mom used to clean Joseph’s home. When freshmen in college Joe and Annie started to date. Joe’s father let it be known he didn’t like Joe dating the help and his parents did not accept Annie and Joe together. Joe and Annie are opposites, Annie gave all of her self to help others and be around people, Joe was reserved and didn’t have good role models in his life. Eventually they got an apartment together. Joe gets a once in a lifetime job opportunity and they are packing up to move to Singapore. Joe plans on proposing to Annie in Singapore. Joe’s father had told him if he wanted to go anywhere in banking he needed to go for this job. Annie than finds out her mother has breast cancer and decides she can not leave her mother at this time. Joe gets angry when he hears Annie made this decision without talking to him about it. He offered to fly her back to home when she felt she had to come back but Annie felt she couldn’t leave her mom at this time. Joe finishes packing and leaves Annie behind no longer a couple. Annie sees the engagement ring that was supposed to be for her on another woman’s finger and starts an app called Bad Bachelors. This was to help women have better dating experiences, they could go and rate and make comments about the men they had dated. Annie never believed this opp would be so controversial or have such bad press. But Annie isn’t worried no one knows who she is Than a hacker hacks her computer knows who she is and where she lives and threatens her. Joe knew now how much of a mistake it had been to let Annie go down deep he still loved her. Than he returns to NY three years later and literally bumps into Annie in Central park. But he needs to settle in his new job. Than Annie goes to Joe for help even though she believes she still hates him. He immediately agrees to help when he sees Annie is really in danger. He stays at her apartment with her or she stays with him.
I enjoyed this book. However I didn’t really like Joe at first as Annie was suppose to be his one true love yet he just let her go and then uses the engagement ring he bought for Annie to get engaged to another woman Not cool at all. He didn’t even reach out to Annie after he left. I advise you to read the books in this series in order for a smoother read. I didn’t like how Annie wouldn’t even consider her app could hurt and mess with innocent men’s lives. I did like the duo POVS. I enjoyed the plot and pace of this book. I also didn’t like Annie wouldn’t take any responsibility for Joe and her breakup. I did chuckle at times while reading this book. I really enjoyed the ending, I really enjoyed the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it.

This was a wonderful book. I wasn’t sure how much I really liked Annie since it was the app she created that was causing trouble for her friends, Darcy(Bad Bachelor) and Remi (Bad Reputation). But I will say once I started this book and read her story of why she felt the need to create the app that I started to like her and I also like Joseph, her true love and the guy who would also break her heart. I liked how both Annie and Joseph realized that they could have handled their relationship better and they were each at fault for what happened. Joseph was a great guy with a very overbearing father that he was try to please and of course that never bodes well for relationships. Having Annie need help with an issue with the app gave her a reason to contact Joseph for help and helped them realize they never fell out of love with each other. Although they had past issues to move past and a new one too. I really enjoyed this book and it was a great way to end the Bad Bachelors series.

I haven't read any of the previous books before picking this one up, and honestly, I don't think it hindered my understanding of this Adult Romance!

If you love a slow-burn romance, then this book needs to be on your TBR! There are the steamy scenes along with a bit of suspense combined into a super quick read. I was engrossed from start to finish and couldn't get myself to leave my cozy spot until I hit the last page.

Even though I have no clue what took place in the first two books, I could see how the elements from this story may have progressed from prologue to ending. I liked the concept of the modern-day dating app and the twist that takes her world for a spin.

The ending was cute and satisfying while also leaving me wanting more from this couple. I gave this book a high 4 out of 5 stars.

Annie and Joe’s second chance story was a story that really resonated with me, as I can absolutely relate to the situation. I enjoyed Bad Influence by Stefanie London, book three in her Bad Bachelor series. Annie was a strong and independent heroine, who had her life figured out and planned; at least until her fiancée left her when she needed him most. Then she finds posted pictures of him with another woman, wearing her engagement ring. In order to make sure other women avoid guys like her ex Annie created the Bad Bachelor app. What was supposed to be a good thing this app made Annie one of the most wanted and least liked woman, except no one knew who she was. If that wasn’t enough, Annie can’t forget Joe, no matter how hard she tries. Joe thought he would finally gain his father’s acceptance by taking a job oversea, but once there realized he made the biggest mistake of his life leaving Annie behind. Now Joe is back and he wants to make things right with Annie; but she won’t fall for him again. That is until a hacker threatens Annie’s safety while determined to bring down her app. With Joe’s experience in computer security Annie turns to him for help. Joe has just been given the opportunity he needed to prove he’s changed, willing to put her first and oh by the way, he has never stopped loving her. Annie needs to make a difficult choice, Joe, Bad Bachelors, her family, or her friends; which matters the most.

I admired the strength Annie had to stand up for what she believed was right. Family mattered to her. Her family had loved her unconditionally and her back. I felt for Joe, growing up unable to ever meet his father’s expectations. His was not a normal childhood and until meeting Annie’s family did not understand how a real family functioned. I loved how Annie’s family accepted Joe and made him a member of theirs. I also was pleased that Joe finally stood up for what he wanted and would not accept anything less from anyone.

Ms. London wrote a wonderful, steamy, suspenseful and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Annie and Joe a second chance at having a true love. I highly recommend Bad Influence to other readers.

This is book 3 in the Bad Bachelor's series and can be read as a stand alone, although the others are good books as well and show the relationship this main character has with those characters. This one is about Annie and Joe. Annie and Joe had been together for a very long time. Until he left her behind to chase his career when her mother got sick. She thought they were on the verge of getting engaged (and had even seen the ring) and the next she see's it, it's on another woman's finger. So in order to help women not be duped by men like her ex, she created the app Bad Bachelor's. But even 3 years later, she hasn't forgotten him or gotten over what happened. Joe knew his biggest mistake was leaving Annie. He has moved back to town and he want's to make amends, and try to see if there is a way to get back what he lost. But she is fighting him the whole way, and he doesn't think he has a chance. But when someone starts threatening Annie, the only one she knows to turn to is Joe. But will this be their fresh start? Or will it finally be an ending.

I really liked most of this book. Annie definitely is a woman who was completely shattered when the man she loved not only left her but he immediately took up with another woman. And I don't blame her a bit. I also don't blame her for her reasoning behind her app. Men can be dogs when it comes to women, and I definitely love the idea of it! However there are also scornful women who love to just dole out revenge, even when it is unnecessary. Joe was part of my drawback with this book. I really wanted to smack him around. Not only does he just leave when Annie's mom is sick and not understand her reasoning for staying behind, but he doesn't stand up to his parents and put his foot down on how they treat her. I didn't like him at some points. Which is my only reason for giving this book a 4 instead of a 5. But he does redeem himself in the end and realize what is truly important, which brought him up to a more likable character. This was a great way to end this series!

Joe and Annie's second chance was emotional, sexy, and ultimately uplifting! Watching them work through the past and present together was wonderful. Facing their demons and trying to forge a new path separately and together. The tribute to her friends at the end was sweet and had me choking up a bit. Sad to see the end of this series, but it was fun while it lasted!
