Family drama with identical twins who have been separated for years, with Tia in a locked residential facility (but why?) and Ellie out in the world building a career and a life with her husband Will. Now though it's all going to tumble because Tia's coming to live with Ellie and Ellie is distressed because she can't have children. This has potential but the characters are all just so.....unlikable.

Nothing is as it seems in this book, especially if you have identical twins as your main characters. You think you know what is going to happen next, but alas, you are wrong again. This was a very entertaining read that kept me guessing until the end.

Loved this book! Finally had the time to read it over Easter and I couldn't put it down. I love how a book sucks you into its world and this one didn't disappoint! I really think it has the makings of a good movie or even a prequel as I felt there was more to learn about Tia and what happened to her in the past.

Great thriller, could no put it down through all the twists and turns. Would highly recommend to fans of this genre.

Wow, this was good!! I was completely hooked on this story, even though I had guessed the twists. It was a book that I just had to keep reading. The characters were intriguing, some of their choices and decisions highly questionable and out there. But still I was sucked in and needed to know the ending.

A good read, but unfortunately it did not capture my attention as much as I hoped it would.

The story itself is good, but I wonder if it was just the wrong book for me. Everyone else seems to have really enjoyed it. I blame the pandemic for lack of concentration.... :-)

I really, really had high hopes for this one. The publishers blurb made it sound appealing but I guess that is what they get paid to do, right? The story itself was not much of a thriller as stated and the plot is predictable to say the least. I was not thrilled about how Ellie was portrayed after learning she could not conceive as though she was no longer a woman. After her twin comes to stay with Ellie and her husband Will, things get discombobulated. I had a hard time keeping up and following along because it was all over the place. This one did not do it for me and sadly I must give it 2 stars out of 5.

Thank you to netgalley as well as the author/publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

Unfortunately I didn’t love this one as much as I was hoping to. I liked the idea behind it and the storyline, but it fell flat for me. I can see why some people love this one, but it just wasn’t for me.

While I appreciate receiving an ARC from the publisher, I cannot get behind this book. It is repeatedly put forth that the character is not a real woman because she doesn't have a uterus and cannot get pregnant and have a baby. This book perpetuates society's narratives about women, which harm trans women and women who choose not to have children. A woman's worth is not found in a uterus.

A fairly predictable plot, but written in such a way you won't want to put it down. If you're looking for a poolside read this one is for you.

After reading the blurb for 'Secrets Between Us' describing this novel as a 'jaw-dropping thriller', i was excited! It's been a long while since a thriller has grabbed me in a jaw-dropping way, so i thought here we go, this is the one. Sadly not. Nothing was really thrilling for me as the way the book was written/ set out, i had worked out the plot pretty damn early on so i was bored for the rest of it, just waiting to be proven right - which i was. I do like the mystery behind twin psychology and their likeness/ personality traits etc, however this was just not one of them. The husband was a clueless lump also. At the end where his main concern was that their sex life wasn't the same.. ugh.

Thank you to the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I tried repeatedly but I could not finish this book. As such I will not be posting this review publicly, since that wouldn't be fair. I made it halfway through before I quit. I didn't like any of the characters, and didn't care about what happened to them. A lot of the problems in this book could have just been solved by better communication in the marriage. I am a little curious what is "wrong" with Tia, but not enough to finish the book.

So this is about identical twin sisters. Tia and Ellie, Tia lives in an assisted residential home. They communicate via letters and haven’t seen one another in over 15 years but the home Tia lives at closed and Ellie takes her home to live with her and her husband.

It doesn’t go to plan!

I liked the book but didn’t find it thrilling or full of lots of twists which I usually enjoy, saying that this did not stop me from liking the book.

I wanted so bad to love this book. The cover is absolutely stunning. The description pulled me in immediately and I just wanted to know more! However, the book was so predictable. I knew what was going to happen early on and I just kept reading hoping that there would be surprise plot twists. But none were found sadly. I would not list this as a psychological thriller. With so many books coming out in this genre, you have to completely hit it out of the park or it's a flop. I would consider this book more of a family drama more than anything. Good writing style, with just a little more creativity, this book could have been great.

I was really intrigued by the synopsis and had high hopes for the book. It was quite slow paced and didn't grip me as much as I thought. I enjoyed the writing style but found the plot quite predictable and saw most of the twists coming. It isn't a bad book by any means, just not the thriller I'd hoped for.

Secrets Between Us was an "okay" read for me. It was definitely middle of the line; it wasn't the best book I've heard read, but it wasn't the worst book that I've ever read either. The redeeming qualities of the book: I liked the dichotomy of the good twin vs the bad twin, and always seem to love a story that involves twins as the main protagonists. There were so many secrets, lies, and regret in this story that it was screaming "unputdownable." I thought the overall story was fairly imaginative, and was curious to see where Keogh was going to take me as the reader. However, I feel like I had the plot figured out very early on. Whenever I read these types of books, I always try not to guess the ending or the twist because I like the element of surprise. I wasn't even trying to figure out and was pretty certain where the story was going to take me. I was hoping for a killer twist, but unfortunately, that was not delivered.

Will and Ellie have a wonderful life until Ellie is told she can’t have children. This rocks their world and then Ellie’s twin sister has to come and stay but there is a whole story there with Tia living in assisted living accommodation and having to be apart from her twin. Soon things take a bizarre turn and it all gets rather confusing!

This was a good read but fairly predictable but it kept me engaged for a long time today. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
