I really wanted to like this one- I love a guilty pleasure Housewives-esque book. This just wasn’t it for me. It’s hard for me to pinpoint exactly what I didn’t like about it, the writing just didn’t jive for me.

A Palm Beach Wife had SO much potential!!!
Let me start off by saying how much I love this cover! I think this is what grabbed my initial attention and to hit that request button on netgalley.
Welcome to the world of Palm Beach... with the high price tags, glorious high rise dinners, and a life for the kings and queens at it's finest.
Well.... I was initially intrigued by this storyline... but there was a lot of name dropping bombs overload here. I wasn't familiar with the designers and this just was too much for me. I get where the author was trying to go here but it took away from the story and the characters.
As for Faith and her jerk of a husband Edward? Nope... I cringed with everything that Faith allowed her husband to get by with. Yes... Edward lost ALL of their money... and now Faith along with their daughter and her husband are trying to get by and get their money back. WOW.... no thank you!
I can't deal with the stories where the men treat the women like a doormat. And.. couldn't relate to the characters at all.
And... that ending? That as pretty disappointing as well.
Ugh.. I REALLY wanted to enjoy this but just fell way to flat for me :(.
2.5 stars for A Palm Beach Wife

Amazing story! Such a sweet read. really enjoyed it! Great read for anyone looking to find a great one to curl up with!

I tried so hard to get into this book. I usually love the gossipy “Real Housewives” feel, but something about this one just didn’t do it for me. There was nothing that I can point to that turned me off, I just found myself uninvested and uninterested in continuing to read it.

I was super excited about this book, the cover and description seemed right up my alley. I could not get into it, I tried so hard but it was almost hard to read, I felt like it went back and forth in the conversations so quick I had to stop to figure out who was speaking. I found myself skimming it in the middle to just finish it, had so much promise but just was not a fan.

This book sounded so promising, I was looking forward to reading a book rich with complexities about class/money but got lots of gossipy rich socialites instead.

I enjoyed this book, it was a fun read. Very heavy on name dropping of designer labels and the hangouts of the rich and famous of Palm Beach, which got tiresome after a while. The story was good though. A woman named Faith has reinvented herself as the doyenne of Palm Beach and circumstances force her to reexamine her life and decide what's really important.
I recommend this book, it's an interesting look at "the high life". Thanks to St. Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This really looked like something I would love reading in between a wicked thriller, but it fell a little short. I just don’t think the author brought in the drama I was hoping for.
Will let Chapter Chatter Pub know about it and use in a challenge!

Had been looking so forward to reading this book. Sadly it just didn’t live up to my expectations after reading the description.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. Since I live in South Florida, I can relate very well to the setting in which the book takes place. Faith is a loyal wife and mother who runs a vintage resale shop on "The Avenue". When she discovers that her husband has been deceiving the family, she must figure out a way to cope while also doing her best to save the family from ruin. The story-line was quite simple and the characters were not very well developed. It was a very quick read but I wouldn't really recommend it. The ending was very strange. It was fun for me because I recognized all the landmarks but other than that, it wasn't a very realistic or engaging story.

A Palm Beach Wife tells the story of Faith, a high society Palm Beach wife, and the owner of the successful A Vintage Tale high-end resale shop. When Faith's husband reveals that he has lost all of their money, and goes into rehab, she must come to terms with, and figure out a way to rebuild, amongst a high-class society that is built on success and judgement, in addition to dealing with a past secret of her own that she has never shared with anyone. I was excited to read this book, and the description of the book's story line is what brought me to read it. However, I quickly found myself getting increasingly annoyed with the excessive descriptions and brand-naming of the items of her shop that the Palm Beach ladies bring into to consign and buy. It was excessive, and, for me, it really took away from space that could have been used to go more in-depth into the characters. It seemed to end very abruptly, seemingly setting it up for a possible sequel??

I found A Palm Beach Wife to be basically typical of this genre. I had hoped for more development of plot and characters, but I didn't connect with the story in the end. It's an okay predictable read.

Thank you Net Galley for my ARC. I loved the cover of the book which made me request it. I really wanted to like it but found myself struggling to finish it. The book was kind of all over the place and the characters were hard for me to keep straight.

Thank you to Netgalley for an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. I had really high hopes for this book, but the story was just all over the place. It wasn’t really anything new, nor were the characters really engaging or likeable. I would pass on on this one.

A Palm Beach Wife is a tale of a woman’s strength set against the odds in the glamorous, opulent, back stabbing town of Palm Beach, Fla. The main character, Faith Harrison, ingeniously and tirelessly works to save her financially ruined family and her drug her addicted husband in the face of a society that warms itself on gossip and indulgence. The strength of Faith grows with each devastating incident creating the type of person you would want to have your back in a crisis.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book. Unfortunately, this book was not for me. Faith is a Palm Beach wife whose husband has made some bad life choices leaving Faith to clean up his mess. Some scenes in this book were just scattered and I felt like there was no real development until about halfway through the book. I think it has the potential to be a summer beach read, it just focuses too much on the prices and names of objects and could use a little more character development/storyline. (Example: I would like to know more about how Mrs A found Faith and why she was focused on being her mentor.)

Faith had it all, the Palm Beach life , or did she ? Secrets and lies keep you twisting and turning to the very last page . This book was graciously provided to me via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book compared to that of Elin Hiliderbrand and it has a beautiful cover. I did not find it similar to Hilderbrand at all. The writing is so jerky and jumps all over the place it is extremely hard to follow Faith and her rich Palm Beach family drama. This one wasn’t for me.

This was a did not finish book for me -- I just couldn't get into it and after getting through 25% I stopped.
I'm normally a big fan of light read, women's fiction but there was just something about this that wasn't drawing my attention.

I was excited to read A Palm Beach Wife after reading the description and seeing her writing being compared to Elin Hilderbrand. Unfortunately, I didn’t find that to be the case when I was reading it. I did think the story line was interesting but something just didn’t click for me and I couldn’t get into the characters.
Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for this advanced copy, my opinions are my own.
