I really enjoyed this book. I wasn’t sure what to expect or how I’d feel reading this romance book based on two male characters but I really enjoyed experiencing the growth of their relationship!! I found it very humorous. Very cleverly written. My first time reading from this author and I really enjoyed it. |

It's great seeing more diversity in popular romance! This book was fun AND steamy. And who doesn't love a juicy royal romance? Highly recommended. |

The premise of this book is so fun, and I'm so happy to see more LGBTQ+ love stories gaining attention and success. But ultimately, I just didn't love the characters and as a royals obsessive, I felt that the depictions of the family were a little off. However, I don't think the latter complaint would bother the vast majority of readers — just a personal thing for me. I know this book is beloved so I think definitely worth a shot if it interests you! |

As a thank you to Netgalley and the publisher (St Martins Press) for providing me with an advanced reader copy I shall give an honest review of Red White and Royal Blue. Overall I enjoyed this novel and plan on re-reading this soon. I recommend it to those looking for escapism and enjoy a love story. Written by debut author Casey Mc Quiston whose impeccable storytelling gave me some of the best hours I have enjoyed as a reader in some time. Mc Quiston’s dialogue was witty, engaging, and showed the plausibility to an impossible situation. Though filled with its the subject matter of politics and relationships were Mc Quiston able to show the diplomacy of these matters and find a middle ground. I emotionally connected with these characters as their personal history mirrored mine and felt seen. As a reader, we hope to be reflected in the material that we ingest whether that is books, art, films, or more. I give this book a strong five out of five stars on GoodReads. |

Arc provided via Netgalley I had to restart this book twice. It didn't instantaneously grab me, in spite of the genre and the very alluring summary. For me I think it was mostly present tense that got me. I don't tend to like stories because it negates the "want to get away" aspect of reading that I like. The snarkiness between the characters is my primary language so Alex and Henry's back and forth was rightly amusing and reminded me of friends, which is what slowly got me to engage more. I have to appreciate slow developing stories more. It wouldn't be a story if it didn't have intricacies and character road bumps that made the story read slower than it probably should, but I think in the end it did justice to how the relationship between the two developed along with the overall story line. |

This novel was brilliant, on so many levels. The familial love, the burgeoning romance, the witty, laugh-out-loud dialogue and emails. Everything was so well written. The characters were fantastic and Alex's discovery of his sexuality really resonated with me. There were a couple of things I found slightly unbelievable (Alex and Henry being able to dodge their security so easily), but I was willing to forgive them because the whole book was so fun and feel-good. The final few chapters were uplifting and wholesome, and I closed the book with tears in my eyes and a feeling of hope. Thank you Casey McQuiston for writing such a resoundingly beautiful story. |

Red White & Royal Blue is a beautiful escapist romance centered around the son of the US President whose hilarious rivalry with the Prince of Wales turns into an unexpected whirlwind romance. This book is empowering and a celebration of identity and true love at its very best. There is just enough steam to make the story feel authentic and will be a delight to any romance lover. This spin on a royal romance is delightful, sexy and irresistible. If you are a lover of romance, you'll love this one |

Heard good things about thus book but not really my kind of book.. maybe I’ll get to it at some point |

THIS BOOK WAS SO DAMN CUTE IT HURT! A good romance will occasionally make me chuckle lightly to myself, or smile, but rarely does a book make me literally laugh out loud in public. I made the mistake of reading Red, White & Royal Blue in my office during my lunch break and was rewarded with suspicious stares when I cackled like a lunatic at some of the inner monologues Alex had going. This book wasn't only funny though, it actually made me cry and made me think about today's political landscape. I generally read romance to escape the realities of every day life, but the parallels in this book were impossible to ignore and I ended up loving it. The way that Alex and Henry's romance developed over the course of emails and carefully scheduled meet ups had me swooning, blushing, and crying. I absolutely adored both of them and can only hope that somehow we get another glimpse into their lives in McQuiston's next book! |

MY FAVORITE BOOK OF THE YEAR. What a beautiful, hopeful, wonderful story. This manages to be funny and poignant at the same time and I will never get enough of this one. A true joy to read. |

Loved this book. It was exactly what I was hoping for, the cute, funny, romance that I needed. I cannot say enough good things about this debut novel. What a fun idea that fully exceeded my expectations. |

RW&RB was everything I hoped that it would be and more!! I have lost count of the number of times that I"ve read this book and I have purchased more copies to give away than I can count. I adored this story. I adored Alex and Henry and I could not put this down. Loved the tension and how their relationship developed. The only thing I didn't like that that it ended. Really hoping for a companion book at some point so I can see Alex and Henry on the peripherals as well as see all the other characters find their HEA |

I enjoyed this book but found that about half way through it became too political. I wish it maintained it's focus on the relationship. |

I am a member of the American Library Association Reading List Award Committee. This title was suggested for the 2020 list. It was not nominated for the award. I absolutely loved this novel. It was one of my favorite books of 2019. The story, the characters, the pacing, all combined to make this a quick, easy read, with just enough angst and depth. |

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I enjoyed reading this. An interesting story with fun characters. Well written. |

Definitely one of my faves from 2019! Loved the fact that you just simply fall in love with everything from this book soo quickly. This book isn't just cute, it's has everything a book needs, for me at least. good plot, good develpment, amazing characters and the balance between all of these. I loved how the romantic part of it didn't overshadow the subplot, the political part, the fact that a book can be really romantic without sacrificing a huge portion of a character´s life in the story is so important to me. I´ve recommended this a handful of times since I read it and I'm sure I´ll keep doing it in the future. |

What an adorable, romantic book. You meet Alex, son of the president of the United States. You also meet Henry, the grandson of the Queen of England. The first half of the book is Alex and Henry’s love story. The second half gets into how they handle a major scandal leak. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. |

Absolutely loved this one. Adorable and fun, yet honest and eye opening. Would read anything else by this author. |

Unfortunately this book did not live up to the hype for me. While I appreciated the LGBTQ love story and liked the characters, I found them to be immature and it felt like YA rather than adult fiction with all the communication issues. Although I love the premise of this book, the execution fell flat for me. I thought that perhaps if it were 100 pages shorter it would have moved at a better pace. |
