This book seemed like it would be very interesting, but it turned out to be just an ok read.A minister passes away and it is surprising. The book then travels to anger, power plays and hate. Not your typical Christian book. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book. Although I received the book in this manner, it did not affect my opinion of this book nor my review.

First, I want to thank Brandi Collier and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

No! I’m Just Protected. The Peterson Family Saga, Volume 1 by Brandi Collier felt like I was watching a Tyler Perry Movie! Wow!! So much drama in that family unit!! So many stories within the main story of the Pastor dying! Right there my heart went out to the First Lady and the Pastor’s sister.

My heart went out to the Pastor’s sister for being Physician on staff that night but not able to be allowed to work on her own brother-staff rules. Thing is she didn’t recognize her brother as the state he had to come into the ER with. So, she blames herself for not being able to save him.

Pastor’s wife was only married to him for 3 years. She lost the man of her dreams!!

Sammie’s girlfriend was a piece of work!! She didn’t want to be with him for the right reasons yet all the wrong reasons. He originally say her as an angel…but found out the hard way she was not whom she said she was.

Yvonne, was another one with something up her sleeve! She was up to no good and nobody wanted her around.
