This was a perfect read for this season, and although I'm not usually the biggest fan of this genre, this put me right into the Halloween mood. Basically, Knee Deep in Little Devils is an anthology of short thriller stories and it features different types of media, as well as different types of writing types and styles. And while it wasn't exactly scary, it definitely provided an eerie and unsettling feeling.

I can't say that I was completely wowed from this collection but it was a quick and fun read, so I can't be too mad. Some of my favorite stories were: A Walk in the Park, From the Deep, The Author and The Sandbox Singularities.

Bringing to mind the seasonal and suspenseful work of Ray Bradbury, this collectionis well-written. It’s sure to include something for everyone and I would recommend it for those who want to be reminded of how powerful the short story medium can be.
