This book tells the stories and life experiences of David Gibbon, as an agronomist and teacher in various countries.
Although I do enjoy plants, most of the technical details included in the book surpassed my understanding.
An (experienced) agronomist will certainly take more from the book than I did.
However, I did enjoy the stories about living in so many different countries, each with their own people and traditions.
I also enjoyed how a small amount of history was included when a new country was introduced. This created a better picture of the countries at that time in history.

I am in awe of all the life experience the author has had. It must be truly amazing to have experienced so many cultures.

This was an interesting read. Each chapter covers the experiences of the author in one geographical area and includes a bit of history of the area as well. While this biography may not speak to everyone and I did find the text a bit dry at times, I also enjoyed many of the authors stories and an glad I had the chance to read it.

Thank you to by Troubador Publishing Limited/Matador and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
