This is the story of Emma and the telling of her journey into BDSM. She is being interviewed by a reporter who wants to hear about different relationships and experiences in that lifestyle.

I liked the character of Emma. I liked that, as a woman, knew what she wanted. The author in correlation showed a sort of innocence to her when to her learning. I enjoyed the way she portrayed her and her husband's, Jordan, transition.

I read this book in a day. It was refreshing. It flowed extremely well. It kept me interested in the story of Emma and Jordan and of them finding their way into their own private BDSM relationship. Emma not knowing the rules and the ways of it but loving her husband enough to lead her through. Jordan gaining his confidence while coming back to the lifestyle and him loving his wife to let her find her way and to be herself while having the adventure. This could have been a one book deal for me, but the author left on a cliffhanger that did not take away from the plot. I would definitely love to read the next book to see where this is going. The author needs to come and see me.

A spicy storyline with a good set of characters .First book I've read by Ms. Hague but won't be the last.

It started with Emma spilling wine on Jordan one thing leads to another and they end up in a BDSM relationship. Emma is telling their story to a reporter and it gives you an insight on how it all began. A good read.

I really enjoyed reading Angel’s view of her relationship. As with every relationship there are different types, and the one Emma and Jordan share is very special. I can’t wait to continue this story in the future.

Very interesting book, it .grabs you from the first page. Good writing with great story line. And the characters keep you surprised and questioning their reasoning. Could not put book down....

I received this for free for my honest review from Net Galley.
This is a story of one couple’s foray into bdsm. Emma is giving an interview to a journalist about how she went from normal vanilla to bdsm. Since it was more of a telling of her story, rather than what was going on in their relationship, I wasn’t as invested. I did think it was a pretty true portrayal of how one might feel starting a bdsm relationship, and I could see how it wasn’t going to work since Jordan never really laid out any rules.
The story just ends though, and I assume there’s a follow up, but I really disliked the harsh ending.

** LOUD ENOUGH FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK **

Sexual dominants aren’t manipulative. They aren’t assholes or fuckers. They actually care about their subs and they’d never collar a vanilla partner and make it a condition of marriage!!! BDSM is about CONSENT not manipulation.

This is not good. It makes BDSM even more unapproachable. Jordan is the worst Dom ever. Not because he’s sadistic or a dick. He’s a douche. He has zero leadership skills and is manipulative. He needs a mentor and a shit-ton of BDSM classes before playing, like ever again.

Oh yeah it ends with a cliffhanger. I only gave it 2 stars bc of the cliffhanger, it was the most interesting part of the book.

** Also, I was contacted by the author on this same review on my blog. She didn’t like this review, I get it but it’s a honest review. She felt the need to tell me that Jordan and “Angel” are real people and this is their story, the secondary characters are fictional. And everyone does BDSM differently, true BUT a real Dom would NEVER collar a vanilla person. Collaring happens YEARS into a Master/ slave relationship. An author shouldn’t need to give supplemental info after publishing. Do better. And knowing these people are real makes it worse! They aren’t doing BDSM, they are playing badly at it and need mentors.

ARC received for review

Interesting thought on collaring. I've never read a BDSM book where the collar was removed or hidden. It almost seemed like he was ashamed of doing it. And then the ending...a cliffy? really?

This was good knowledge on BDSM and such.
Angel's Collar is basically the main character Emma being interviewed and her looking back on the relationship she has with Jordan Caldera. Interesting way to tell a story but.. not for me I guess. I just wish there was more to the story.

I have it all until he shows me more.I didn’t intentionally spill wine all over the most beautiful guy in the room, and one look at those icy-blue eyes brings on a major lapse in coherent speech. Jordan Caldera tells me his secret and wants me to join him. This is where my journey into submission begins. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Anna Hague is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.

I received an arc from Netgalley. I enjoyed the way in which this story was told but the ending left me conflicted.
