This is a first for me by this author but not my last.

Closing in on thirty, Fia Price craves a new and more meaningful direction for her life. Walking away from her successful modeling career, she heads to Texas for the Christmas holidays to inspect a small ranch she and her brother’s have recently inherited. Sorting through her great aunt’s bulging cottage gives Fia the time and space to consider a new career, but since her brothers want to sell the property, her time in Texas is limited. But when she meets Gib Donovan and his adorable young son, living in Texas suddenly becomes so much more attractive. And as they spend time together in the weeks leading up to Christmas, Fia discovers her new career but also finds herself wanting to say yes to so much more than a land sale—if she can find the courage to start a new, completely different life.

Sexy cowboy and rancher Gib Donovan wants to focus on his son and his ranch. Fia Price with her beauty, sparkle and sense of fun is making that near impossible. She’s waking up parts of him that he hoped would stay asleep forever. He doesn’t want to hope again. Or lust. Or trust. And he definitely thinks love is off the table, but with Fia, everything seems possible—a magical Christmas for his son, and a new future for them both.

I've always had a thing for cowboy's... not sure why but I'm not going to argue with it... I just love a good story and that it includes a cowboy is a great bonus.
Once I started reading I just couldn't put it down... the characters are well written and First Creek Farm sound like an amazing place to visit.

A great festive read with a heart-warming romance... what more could you want on these now chilly nights?

I look forward to more from this author.

Thank-You Netgalley for my ARC.

Christmas at First Creek Farm by Joss Wood is simply amazing! It is sexy and hot as well as sweet and intimate. Joss managed to pull from every fiber a story needs and make this one to die for. I absolutely adored this Christmas story and hope to get to read more about Gib's and Fia's siblings stories. First Creek Farm is an amazing place to visit with great characters.

Christmas at First Creek Farm is a wonderful all round story. It has a city girl looking for an alternative lifestyle, a hard working single dad, who just happens to be a sexy rancher too, and the magical season of Christmas to enhance this unexpected romance between these polar opposites.

Fia is larger than life, with an effervescence that Gib simply can’t ignore. And don’t forget Gib’s son Gabe. While he might be described a monster by his aunt Tanna, you can’t help be adore this little hellion. The chemistry between Gib and Fia is undeniable and the storyline draws you in from page one. I’m looking forward to reading much more of Ms Woods work.

A rich story with characters so realistic, you will feel you know them personally.

When Fia Price quits modeling, she heads to Texas to the ranch she and her brothers inherited from their great-aunt. She plans to spend time going through her aunt’s belongings and figuring out what she will do with the next chapter of her life.

Gib Donovan is a single father and ranch owner who is looking to acquire some more property. That property just happens to be Fia’s Great-aunt’s. Gib is content with his life and doesn’t want or need a woman in it. But when he meets Fia, everything changes. Or, was it the magic of the Christmas season working miracles on them both?

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Fia and Gib. The story had everything I could ask for in a book, great characters, writing and the perfect romance. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves small towns or cowboy romances.

So I'm going to be honest here and tell you all that the only reason I decided to read this book was because of the cover. I don't usually fall for the pull of the cover but once in a while it grabs me and won't let go.

The cover for Christmas at First Creek Farm is just that kind of cover for me.

From the second I saw it I knew that I'd have to read the book. The only thing that stopped me at first was because of how many books I had to read before the end of October.

I know you can tell that I'm weak because after a few days I gave into the draw of the cover and requested it. The real scary part, besides not have a great amount of time to read it, was the fact that this was a author that I hadn't read or even heard of before seeing this cover.

Yep, the draw of the cover.

So I down loaded it and the first second I had I started it. It helped that the book I read prior to this one was so good that I flew through it. Not to worry that review is coming soon. With having the time I started it and read it in one sitting. Something I don't often do. Between playing on Facebook and some fun games on my phone along with the TV it sometimes (most of the time) takes me till the next day to finish a book.

For whatever reason I started this one and flew though it. That's how good it was for me. I really got into the characters and the people. In fact I wanted more. That's how many of the characters jump out at you. I love a author that can leave me wanting more.

You will be heartbroken for Gib and his past. What he had to go through, sucked. What sucks more is how blind he is to what he could have if he only opened his eyes. Some people refuse to see the truth in front of them until it smacks them in the face.

Gib is one of those people. Even with him being like that I truly enjoyed him. He's a wonderful father and brother. He tries not to but cares about those around him.

I loved Fia. She too has a few things in her past that suck. She too lost her family and now really feels the loneliness. I so wanted to give her a hug. You also enjoy her sense of humor. Cracked me up more then once.

These two together are perfect and even though they had a rock road before admitting to true love they are perfect together. This is a great holiday story to read and as I said it's very easy and fast to read. Just what you need during the busy holidays.

I really hope this isn't the only book in this town. I want more of the charcters to have their own stories.

I received an arc from Netgalley. Christmas at First Creek Farm is a super Christmas romance. Gib and Fia are two people that have an instant connection and attraction. Gib has a young son Gabe who is the most lovable kid and has some pretty interesting and lovable pets as well.

As Gib and Fia maneuver their way through their romance an old flame of Gibs just can’t let him go. Fia on the other hand needs to find out what is her life now that she retired from modeling. More than anything these two learn that fighting for love and forgiveness are the keys to happiness.

5 Stars...
I just discovered a new author! I love Joss Wood! Just wow!
Christmas At First Creek Farm is everything I love in a cowboy Christmas. Add in a beautiful, loving, caring, selfless heroine and you just can't go wrong. Not to mention, I love single father romances as well! This is the time of year that I start with my Christmas romance reading. I know it is a bit early. But actually it isn't for me. I wish there was more time to read the many Christmas romance novels I have on my TBR. Let's face it, I can read them anytime of the year I choose but for me that doesn't bely the spirit of the season. So, thank you Joss Wood for writing this amazing novel!

Gib is an extremely wealthy ranch owner. He actually owns much more than a single ranch. His property in Texas, where he resides, is immense. Unfortunately there is one smaller piece of land that he doesn't own but sits smack, dab in the center of his property. Gib wants this land. The only thing standing in the way is a gorgeous super model who is holding up the sale.

All Fia wants is to find herself. She is retiring from the modeling world. Unfortunately, Fia has no idea what to do with the rest of her life. When her brothers want to sell a piece of land they inherited, Fia is the hold up on the sale. While this causes some tension, Fia isn't intentionally being difficult. That piece of land was something her mother held on to and Fia wanted, no needed, to see it first hand before it was no longer in the family. It is there, at a small cottage, in the middle of a huge Texas ranch, that Fia will find more than herself.

Gib and Fia hold back their attraction to each other for a while; neither wanting the complications of getting involved. They each have issues that make them wary of letting love in. I can't say enough how I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. Can I also add how much I loved the end? The happily=ever-after was perfect. I was giddy and smiling by the time I read the las page. I appreciated the author's talent for writing as I found myself engaged in every word. I loved every moment of this book.

That said, the time frame of this book takes place during the prior weeks to Christmas. And while Christmas is in the title, the holiday did not overshadow the premise as you might find in small town Christmas romances. I highly recommend this gem as a must read.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

Gib is trying to raise his 5 year old son, and run a huge ranch in Texas. His wife and parents were killed in a car accident, and he has become bitter towards women. Along comes Fia, a super model who owns a section of land that he wants to obtain. Doesn't hurt that she is gorgeous, inside and out. Sparks fly, and naturally there is a HEA. The trip there was fun, although wish it would have been longer. Highly recommend this story.

Authentic is one word I’d use to describe the characters in this story...adding in realistic as well. The emotions were spot on, never over the top, with the intelligent dialog creating a smooth and seamless flow throughout. The author’s depiction of what she has created gave my mind’s eye the perfect vehicle to create the proper imagery for the story and its characters to be believable. I look forward to reading more of her stories in the future.
