Eh...I wanted to like this book as it was something I should feel great in... but I hadn't... s the whole relationship started out in a WRONG way and was nor redeemed during the book when we consider D/s relationship... I hoped it will change but it had not...
Lily was a woman that was down to earth her whole life, never considered the life of sub. So how can she accept sub's life within a minute without talking with Fin or any talking... crazy...
Had so much potential just minor changes with the content of the story.

Another first read for me with this Author. Kate Allure delivers a fast paced red hot romance with this one. I was immediately sucked into the plot, the characters and the chemistry between Finn Hyde and Lilli West scorched my synapses. I was very excited and even fist pumped that my book slump was over, the sex scenes were beyond steamy and even though I found their encounter a little far fetched, I was committed.

Then about half way in I started realizing the plot was static and character development stalled for me. Characters you meet in the beginning are barely mentioned again and the project that brings them together is never resolved which led to an open ended conclusion that left me assuming what happens to them.

Throughout the entire book Lilli has doubts about herself and her submissive tendencies, it gets repetitive. Finn on the other hand is everything you would want in a Dom, and the British accent doesn’t hurt either. The punishments were creative albeit a little much I thought for a submissive in training and a lover who wants to bring her into his world slowly.

I still give it 4 stars because it was well written and a steamy read. If your into quick reads with BDSM this one is for you.

First time author for me, I have only recently delved into this genre and I enjoyed the escapism of this story, my imagination went wild.

What a fun book this was to read. Finn and Lilli were an interesting pair and the story weaves around the ultra focused Lilli doing her independent woman thing vs her little tiny voice telling her she could really fall at Finn's feet. Their attraction was immediate. So we watch as Lilli tests the waters and Finn slowly reconciles himself to corrupt/ or not corrupt the vanilla Lilli. I was hoping for a little more steam and D/s here. It's a light read and I think that some readers will appreciate that. A quick fun read.

Well, that was hot. But it wasn't just mindlessly hot, there was a decent story there. Lilli and Finn had a bit of a taboo thing going because he was the architect hired to redesign a house into a low income community center that she worked for. He recognized that she was not into his lifestyle, but wanted her anyway. It was great watching Lilli discover what she liked and how it went against everything she thought she knew about herself.

I am leaving a fair and honest review, as promised, in exchange for this ARC. Well, sir, that was a bit hot. If you are the type of person who relishes giving up a bit of control to gain more, this is your read.

I liked Her Gentleman Dom. I am debating the star rating because ideally I would give it about 3.5 stars. I liked the story well enough. The characters were ok, but I wasn’t madly in love with them.

Lilli is thrown together with a wickedly sexy British architect on a San Francisco building project, but her paralyzing attraction to the man could ruin her career. If you are into the dom/sub books this is definitely a good one. The characters are both very likable. Lilli is a woman who in her professional work life she likes to control things so she never thought she would bow down to any man but Finn is hard to resist. Hes powerful yet gentle. This is a good read. I'm sure you will fall for Finn like I did and have mad respect for Lilli.

It was meh. I didn't really like Finn at all. He just wasn't a very likable guy or Dom, in my opinion. Lilli was just okay.

This was not a bad book, but in a way it didn't convince me at all, especially because it is set in the U.S. where a work relationship could have never worked out like it did on the book. And in the end Lili was a character I didn't like so much even if Finn was even less believable.

Non é che fosse proprio un brutto libro, ma non mi ha convinto, specialmente perché negli Stati Uniti una relazione tra capo e sottoposto non sarebbe mai finita come nel libro, piuttosto in tribunale; e poi li Lili non é per niente un personaggio simpatico e mi é piaciuta persino meno di Finn che é decisamente poco credibile.

A perfect Dom/sub love story with lots of descriptive scenes. Writing is well done tasteful. Perfect for those readers who want a love story along with kink.

Finn doesn't ask he demands, “I’m taking you to dinner in a nice restaurant, so I need you to get dressed.” I liked this book, I liked Finn.

Her Gentleman Dom, is a great book to read while soaking in the tub. That way no one will be able to tell how wet you get while reading it. I'll never tell.
