Such a heartbreaking story! The guilt, the loss, the grief that was felt in this story was so heavy. Completely believable in every sense.

I truly appreciated the love/hate relationship between Cooper and Halle. The author didn't sugar coat their grief and guilt like some would have done.

A second chance romance for Cooper and Halle.
They haven't seen each other for 10 years, since Cooper's sister, Halle's best friend, died.
Now Halle is back in town.

An emotional read at times.

I really liked this second chance romance. Halle goes back to her hometown to honor her best friend and try to leave the past behind her. Unfortunately, when she sees Cooper, she knows that won’t happen, sparks fly but can they find a way deal with the pain of the past and find a future together? Fast-paced emotional read with great chemistry and lots of drama. An entertaining read.

Thank you so much to Entangled Publishing for this Second Chance ARC.

Firstly, I LOVE their Brazen line of books! They are always super sexy and fun reads. Lovers Restored is the tale of first love, heartache, and a scotching reunion. Years of pent-up and suppressed feelings only have one way to escape! I loved this emotional and passionate book about rekindling first love.

This book was hard for me, I liked Halle and I felt for her she lost everything in one night. She lost her love Cooper, her best friend Peyton and her family because they were her family so for ten years she can't move on even though she tried and still feels guilt but of course she is going to feel pain and hurt and guilt Cooper blamed her why? cause he was an idiot. He so annoyed I get it you lost your sister but he was cruel to Halle and really wished she could have found someone because supposedly he couldn't move on from her either, well dude your fault..

Lovers Restored by Kelsie Leverich a four-star read that will restore your faith. This was my first read by this author and it’s the first book in the Lovers redeemed series and I for one can’t wait for the next book in the series. This was a great read, about passion and loss and love, it will make you pull your hair out in places and it may break your heart in places but it will also make you turn each page quicker than the last.

Rating 4/5

Emotionally charged. Wickedly beautiful. Halle and Cooper's love story tug on my heartstrings throughout the entire plot. I couldn't put this down and got so attached at times that I thought I was the one hurting instead of the characters. The strife and struggle they both go through to move on from their past and learn to love one another again is so real and depicts a lot of true love stories today.

A loss tore then apart. It’s 10 years later and all the feels are still there -- passion, love, anger, desperation, fear, regret, remorse. Witnessing then fight to find a HEA made for a good read.

I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The first thing that catches your eye about this book is it’s beautiful cover art. Halle and Cooper has so much charged sexual tension between them. Every time they are within close proximity of each other the fireworks go off. There are loads of opportunities to see them struggle and lose the battle. Once they are able to get past their demons and accept their fate they find that their is no way they can live without each other.

What an amazing book this was. I couldn't put it down.

This story has it all - love, humor, heartache, guilty, longing and heat. I felt so much for this couple I had to remind myself it was just a book.

Halle left town 10 years ago after a tragic event that took her best friends life. She is back to honor a promise to her deceased friends and then she is out of here. She is not back long when she runs into the one person she wanted to avoid, her best friends older brother and her first and only love.

Cooper has been merely existing for the past 10 years. He hasn't moved on from his sisters death, Halle leaving and the what has become the shell of his mother. He is trying to do the best that he can with what he has to work with. This all changes the day he sees Halle again.

These two had so much chemistry and love that it physically hurt when they were fighting. The words were harsh to each other but they were from of place of guilt and hurt. I loved the push/pull that they had towards each other and the satisfaction that I got at the end!

I would highly recommend this book!

One of those stories that stays with you. When Halle returns to her hometown for the first time in ten years, her world grinds to a halt before she can get that first scoop of ice cream in her mouth; standing behind her in the diner her best friends brother, Cooper. Cooper isn't happy. Cooper is angry. Halle is only here to keep a promise she made to her best friend Peyton when they buried their memory box when they graduated from high school. To dig it back up 10 years from the date. The date her best friend died. The day her tiny world came to an end. She lost the only family she knew after losing her own father. Cooper, who had made his feeling known to Halle, even though he was going to college. Cooper turned his back on her the day of the funeral and never looked back. Halle left town, made a new life for herself. Finished school and had her own successful catering business.
She'd only dig up the box and leave. Keeping her promise. Then Cooper keeps showing up and oh how Halle's body betrays her mind. Cooper isn't easy to like, throughout the book he's angry, throws out accusations while he has his hand down her pants, he's overbearing and flat out mean. His friends are nice to Halle, which bothers him too. Halle has dug up the box and goes to see Peytons Mom. Cooper had to quit college to come home and look after his mother because she fell apart after Peyton died. She's still not together. Until she spends a little time with Halle. Now Cooper wants her to stay because in his tiny little mind, Halle has some magic wand she's going to wave to make his Mom all better. The guy drove me nuts. I read this book twice and yes, he was just as annoying the second time around. I felt for Halle too but there were times when I wanted to flick her nose and tell her to wake the heck up. Cooper's answer to everything was sex, then he'd push her away. Halle stays a short time and is enough to get Peytons Mom back on track a little. Cooper constantly leaves Halle just as he did the day of his sisters funeral. He ran. Right after telling Halle it was all her fault.
So the tables get turned and this time it's Halle who leaves. She said what she needed to say and left.
She was done. The story doesn't end there. Cooper's kick in the pants comes from his Mom. Maybe it will work. It's all up to Cooper.
It's a good read angsty, twisty, steam all over the place, emotion packed and you'll keep reading and won't put it down until the end. It's just one of those kind of books.
