A wedding and moon trigger a time gate for Emily to enter Samuel's world with the events heading toward the Civil War. Settle in for a good read for romance from another time and place.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

I’m usually not much into time travel stories, but the blurb of this book intrigued me. My impression after reading it is ambivalent. I did like part of the romance, but it felt too rush and the climax of the two declaring one another their mutual love came a bit too early in the story to sound plausible and enjoy how they actually got there. I lost interest from that point onwards and struggled to get to the end for the sake of a happily ever after that was marred with time paradoxes. The writing itself is promising but needs polishing. All in all a nice try, but not an unforgettable read.

I don't normally read time romances but this book had me captivated from the beginning and I couldn't put it down!

I just loved this book! I think it is now my absolute favorite! The author's characterization skills are phenomenal. She has the knack of being able to make her characters very realistic. No cookie-cutter characters here. They are not all sweet and full of fluff. No there are some mean ones, some very stubborn ones, some pathetically clueless ones, as well as strong and forthright ones. This just makes the conflict in the story that much more real, which, in turn, makes the resolution of the conflict Thank you Netgalley for letting me read it

This was a lovely and sweet time travel historical romance, well written with characters that you cared about and wanted to learn more about.

I received an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review

This book made no sense, and I don’t mean in a paranormal defies-the-laws-of-physics kind of way. A noper
