A Merry Mountain Christmas by Trish Milburn. This is Heidi Forrester and Ben McNamara’s story.

This story takes place in Merry, Montana. Merry is a wonderful Christmas town. I enjoyed Ben and Heidi’s characters. A sweet and slow burn Christmas romance.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

When Heidi, who loves Christmas and it is her birthday, gets to her vacation town of Merry Montana, where it is Christmas every day she finds a store name A World of Christmas and of course she goes in and is completely enchanted. And then she meets the owner Ben, and to me it’s like it was meant to be.
This book is so sweet, so easy to just enjoy, l recommend you let it take you away.

Oh what a sweet story! If you love Christmas and everything about it then this is the book for you. It’s packed with Christmas trees, lights, music and decorations of all kinds, an inn with Christmas themed rooms and more, all neatly presented in a town that does Christmas 365 days of the year.
Merry Montana, situated on Yule Mountain, lives and breathes Christmas, which makes it the perfect holiday destination for Christmas-loving Heidi Forrester, whose birthday happens to be on Christmas Day.
Ben McNamara, owner of A World Of Christmas, is not quite so enamoured of the town. He’s a third generation owner of the store and has never known anything else. Ben is just itching to sell his business, get out of town and find a new way of life, when he meets Heidi browsing in his store. These two feel drawn to each other though they both know any sort of relationship won’t work as Heidi lives in Chicago, a thousand miles from Merry.
This story is light and quirky and just plain fun. There’s emotion too, but it doesn’t dominate. It’s filled with good people, friends and Christmas spirit and had me smiling throughout. I loved watching Ben and Heidi doing their best to avoid falling in love and doing it anyway. This whole charming story is just plain engaging.

This was a sweet romance. Heidi and Ben are great characters and the town of Merry was a perfect setting. Heidi seems to have it all but no one to share it with. Ben feels stuck in a life that was predetermined. These two collide and compliment each other in the best ways. This is a nice story and makes you look at what really is important in life. I would recommend.

Escaping something is the theme for Heidi and for Ben. Heidi has just been promoted at her work and is finally getting a well needed vacation. But, her boss is pestering her and cutting into her time of rest and relaxation. Ben McNamara has run his family’s Christmas store all his life. He desires escape from running the store as his life’s work. Intent on selling the business, he pursues a buyer and the relief the freedom will bring him. Enter Heidi and her love of all things Christmas. She is enchanted with the store and can see a myriad of things that could be done to promote the store year round.
As their relationship progresses with definite chemistry, her love of Christmas and his desire to leave it all behind must find a solution that brings their odds together in a workable and loveable way.

This book is a definite read for anyone that loves Christmas! I was completely wrapped up in this sweet town where Christmas is everywhere! All the characters pulled me in and I felt like I was a part of their lives. I adored each character in this book and each one made the story even better. The names of all the places in this town were so creative and made me want to string up red and green lights! The plot in this book moved along at a good pace and I felt very satisfied when I finished it. This book is well written and will put anyone in the Christmas spirit.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I so thoroughly enjoyed this Christmas-themed romance. The journey to Ben's and Heidi's HEA was a wonderful ride for me. I also love the Christmas holiday so it was a joy to read. To see these two come together and realize that while they have a nice life there is something missing though. Their journey to finally realize that life isn't a high-powered career or travel and that the missing element from their lives is the love of that special someone, was a meaningful one. The pivotal moment when the "light came on" was one when I wanted to jump for joy. I loved having the dual POVs. For me as a reader, it really helps to get the insight of the character. To see what drives them and to understand the actions that they take and the meaning behind their words.

The characters are ones that you can get behind and cheer for. The secondary characters are wonderful as well. I hope to read more about this lovely town called Merry. This is a book that you will want to read every holiday season.

Heidi Forrester is on vacation, yet her boss has nothing better to do than annoy her with work. Still, she's determined to have a good time and working for Ben McNamara in his store A World of Christmas seems perfect since she loves all things Christmas. However, she' a city girl and she'll have to return home sooner or later to her dream job back in Chicago. Yet, the more time she spends with Ben, the more she finds herself wanting things she never thought she wanted. Will Ben be able to convince Heidi to stay?

What an absolutely charming, fast-paced, entertaining read Ms. Milburn has delivered in this book where the main characters were fantastic, the dialogue drew me in from the beginning and had me loving the growing relationship between Heidi and Ben; and the fast-paced plot had me loving the town of Merry and its people, as Heidi becomes quite popular in a very short time. It's like she's meant to be a part of the town. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine come face-to-face for the first time where this story really takes off, as Heidi is fascinated by all things Christmas and it's no wonder she's so at home in Merry and Ben's store.

With the main characters, I really enjoyed both the hero and heroine, as the hero is finally ready to do something different with his life and is giving up so much in the heroine's eyes. Will Heidi be able to understand why Ben is making such a decision, especially when the Christmas shop is his family legacy? Moreover, the heroine is resilient, courageous, hard-working and I liked the decisions she made throughout this story because love and happiness are important. I also liked the friendships the heroine made and I loved the advice her new friends give her, even if staying in Merry doesn't seem like a possibility for her. While the hero, he's charming, confident, has some big decisions to make and I liked the close relationship he has with his parents, especially since all his mom wants for him is to be happy. Will leaving Merry make him happy or is Merry where he needs to stay to be happy?

Overall, Ms. Milburn has delivered a wonderful read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense; the romance was delightful and had me loving these two together; the secondary characters entertained me just as much as the main ones; and the ending left me completely satisfied by the way these two fight for their happy ever after. How could they not make the decisions they do, especially when Merry is such a wonderful place? I would recommend A Merry Mountain Christmas by Trish Milburn, if you enjoy small town romances, the mysterious strangers trope or books by authors Melissa McClone, Sinclair Jayne, Erika Marks and Dani Collins.

Heidi is spending Christmas in Merry Montana with her college roommate Phoebe (and Phoebes boyfriend Justin). They end up with car trouble so Heidi is left to explore the town on her own. She soon finds herself in the store “A World. Of Christmas” and meets the owner Ben.
Heidi may be on vacation but she pitches in to help at the store, and also has plenty of marketing ideas for the local businesses. Will a Christmas Romance be part of her forever vacation? Read on and find out...

A Merry Mountain Christmas by Trish Milburn is the perfect read to get one into the Christmas Spirit. That is a tough order for it to fill since I am reading this book during the Halloween Craze instead of later in the year, but it sure did it. Heidi Forrester is as charming character as one would want to meet. No wonder she has Ben rethinking his goals and plans. I loved her name, it fit her. Had me thinking of the Shirley Temple movie, only now Heidi is all grown up.

An easy to read book that will leave you with a smile and a fondness for Merry, Montana. This is a place to visit if only it wasn’t fictional. The description made it feel so real as well as the store, A World of Christmas. The tradition of family and love are highlighted in this story much more than the buying of gifts even if the main setting is a Christmas store. I really like that.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Such a fun holiday book that gets you in the spirit of Christmas. Heidi kind of got shafted by her friends for the holiday ski trip but it turns out for the best when she goes to Merry, Montana to meet her college room mate.

While she gets to Merry, her friend is delayed so she fills the time getting to know the people and meets Ben. They are really drawn to each other but each think there is no chance that they could have anything more than the two weeks that Heidi is visiting.

It is fun, and sometimes painful to watch as they try to keep their hearts safe and won't take a chance on more. The romance is built on attraction and friendship and the book keeps things pretty clean with no swearing or bedroom scenes.

I loved the ending and that not just one of them decided to give in but that they both were all in and hoping that the other would work things out. Great HEA! (And so glad that Heidi finally told her boss, Russ, NO!)

A Merry Mountain Christmas by Trish Milburn
Heidi Forrester has it all–a new promotion, great friends, and plans to purchase a condo. But when her Christmas plans don’t pan out, she instead vacations solo in Merry, Montana–a picturesque mountain village where it’s Christmas year-round. Charmed, she jumps at the chance to join the festivities by assisting the incredibly handsome but understaffed owner of A World of Christmas, a two-story wonderland of Christmas decor, and finds more holiday spirit and fun than she ever did at glamorous resorts.
Ben McNamara can’t believe his luck when the beautiful visitor to his store offers to fill his seasonal help vacancy. Even more fortuitous, she’s a marketing genius who can help him make A World of Christmas more attractive to potential buyers. But as the date draws close for him to hand off his family’s legacy, Ben realizes that maybe it wasn’t the ever-present Christmas atmosphere that had bothered him, but rather the fact that he’d never had anyone to share it with.
Can Heidi convince Ben there’s so much more to love on Yule Mountain than just Christmas?
This is Heidi Forrester and Ben McNamara's story.
Montana was like a different world, full of rustic and panoramic charm from the moment she stepped off the plane in Bozeman. Even the airport was full of wood and stone and carvings of the wildlife that called Big Sky Country their home. And though there was plenty of snow to be seen, especially on the surrounding mountains, the sky was an impossible blue and indeed very big.
It was every bit as cold outside as Chicago, but the brightness of everything made her drive south toward the town of Merry something straight out of a luxury car commercial narrated by Matthew McConaughey. Every couple of miles, she saw a cute new sign advertising the town where it was Christmas all year round. By the time she made the turn off the main highway and started the climb up Yule Mountain, she had found Merry’s local radio station, which of course played Christmas music 24/7.
She was singing along to Bing Crosby’s “Mele Kalikimaka” when she reached the red, white and green “Welcome to Merry, Montana” sign. Going full tourist, she pulled over so she could take a selfie with the sign. Only then did she realize she’d forgotten to turn her phone back on once she’d landed. She might be connected all the time, but when she flew she liked to unplug and read an actual, physical book. Consequently, she had five messages from Russ.

If you’re in the mood to fall into Christmas, then I can’t think of a better place to start than by picking up A Merry Mountain Christmas. Set in the small town of Merry, Montana located on Yule Mountain, this magical town celebrates Christmas year round. Full of small shops with truly Christmas-y names, you’ll fall in love with the people, the non-stop events, Christmas music playing in the streets the atmosphere and the feeling of living inside the most beautiful Christmas snow globe of all. It’s the perfect place for one woman who loves everything Christmas to spend her year end vacation… and who knows, she might decide that she never wants to leave.

Frankly, I loved everything about A Merry Mountain Christmas – and I’d certainly love more stories set in this quaint town where Christmas reigns every day of the year. Heidi may have just gotten the promotion that she so richly deserves, with plans to finally buy that perfect condo near work yet she’s been so dedicated to her work that her friends and family have made their Christmas plans – without including Heidi believing she’d be so tied up with her job that she’d not be available. Making impromptu plans with an old friend to visit her small hometown, Heidi will find herself in her version of heaven since she loves everything about Christmas, especially considering it’s also her birthday. She expected to relax, unwind, and have some Christmas fun during this break from work – she didn’t expect to fall in love with a town, the people or one special man who could turn around all her carefully made plans.

Ben has lived in Merry his entire life, he’s surrounded by Christmas in the town, at his family’s shop A World of Christmas… and, sadly, he’s lost that Christmas magic. Ben is looking for “something” more and he’s certain that he won’t find it in his hometown. His parents have passed the shop over to Ben early, and now he’s got plans to sell and move away. One woman with a deep love of Christmas may just change his mind, because the grass isn’t always greener somewhere else when everything, everyone you want in your life is right in front of you.

Ben and Heidi’s romance is sweet, clean and will capture your heart quite easily. Watching Ben have his eyes opened to possibilities was a joy. Seeing Heidi struggle with an overbearing boss who simply will not let up on demands, even when she’s on vacation, will hit home with many people. In some ways Heidi and Ben go through a reversal of feelings toward this joyful season as Heidi begins to feel too much for the town, the people and Ben… and Ben begins to see that it isn’t a place that will bring him happiness, but one person.

I loved every moment spent in A Merry Mountain Christmas, a story filled to the brim with Christmas, interesting people, a town to love and one couple who are simply perfect for each other. We meet some interesting secondary characters in this story as well, some who are definitely single ladies who deserve their own happy endings – and I’m really hoping that we get to re-visit Merry, Montana again in the near future. Love Christmas Romance? Then you need to grab this one, some hot chocolate, a warm fireplace and simply indulge yourself.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This is a first for me by this author.

A small town nestled in the mountains that celebrates Christmas all year round.

Heidi lives in Chicago, she's celebrating a promotion with a much needed vacation. Her family and friends have other plans for the holidays, so she calls an old college friend and decides to meet her in her hometown of Merry, Montana. The town of where it's Christmas all year round. Plans go awry as her friend is stuck in Idaho with the boyfriend, so Heidi finds herself flying solo for the holidays.
Charmed by the town, she jumps at the chance to join in the festivities by assisting the incredibly handsome but understaffed owner of A World of Christmas, a two-story wonderland of Christmas décor, and finds more holiday spirit and fun than she ever did at glamorous resorts.

The Christmas store, A World of Christmas is a family business in which Ben manages. He's feeling trapped in the town by it's traditions and expectations, but he can’t believe his luck when the beautiful visitor to his store offers to fill his seasonal help vacancy. The fact that she's a marketing genius who can help him make the store more attractive to potential buyers is a bonus.

But as the date draws near for him to sign over his family’s legacy, Ben realizes that maybe it wasn’t the ever-present Christmas atmosphere that bothered him, but more the fact that he’d never had anyone to share it with.

What a sweet, entertaining holiday read! The background is a small town nestled in the mountains that celebrates Christmas year round. One of the main businesses is a family owned Christmas store. The owner’s son, Ben, manages it and feels trapped in town by tradition & expectations.

Heidi came to town to celebrate Christmas with her college roommate & ends up falling for the town. She is celebrating getting the promotion at her job in Chicago but begins to think it’s not all it’s supposed to be when her boss is constantly interrupting her time off. She can’t believe how friendly everyone is & how much she seems to fit in.

This was a well written sweet romance. The scenery came alive due to the excellent & colorful descriptions. The townspeople are warm, friendly & welcoming. I loved the interactions between Heidi & the different people she met. These interactions showed the perfect small town atmosphere. Both Heidi & Ben needed to realize what they really were missing & needed before they could find their way to each other. Great romance!

Heidi needs a vacation in the worst way, as her pushy boss keeps emailing and calling and texting with more work. Her family and friends have other plans, so she calls an old college friend and decides to meet her in her hometown of Merry, Montana. The town of Christmas year round. Her friend is stuck in Idaho with her boyfriend, so Heidi must find something to do by herself. Walking into a darling shop she finds Ben, the owner, who is gorgeous and needs help. Offering to help gift wrap she steps in to help with the flow. Sparks fly, and the story takes off. Nice and clean story, which is a nice change. Just wish more would have be discussed about why Ben wants to leave, and why Heidi feels so strongly about her job in Chicago. Highly recommend this book and author.
