I enjoyed The Wife Between Us. It was an engaging thriller, even though I guessed the twist in the end.
Unfortunately, this book disappointed me a little. The premise was interesting. I liked the start, kept me reading. But, after a while it just became too slow and dragging. I found myself I don't care enough. So, I guess it was an OK read with the end, but didn't top TWBU. I would still pick up a book from Hendricks and Pekkanen as I like their writing and stories.

Thanks a lot Netgalley and the publisher for this copy.

This book exceeded my expectations, I actually stayed awake all night because I was so hooked.
I am very impressed.

I really liked The Wife Between Us, although I saw it's twist coming I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sadly, An Anonymous Girl doesn't keep up with the pace of T.W.B.U. I really struggled to stay connected to the story. The start was fast and interesting, but halfway through I realised I just wanted to know what happens and move on. Although I found the ending satisfying and the plot wasn't too bad, the struggle to keep engaged and the feeling that it could have been shorter didn't make me a fan of this book. I would still pick up a book from Hendricks and Pekkanen.

Another twisty and involving thriller from this dynamic duo of crime writers- a page turner which hits the mark on the psychological aspect of psychological thrillers.

A bit of a cat and mouse story this one, as Jessica joins a study, needing money but not realising that the enigmatic Dr Shields may well ruin her life...

It's a wonderfully addictive read, as Dr Shields twists Jessica's world and demands more and more. However Jessica is not without her own inner demons..

A fine bit of storytelling, beautifully done, unpredictable and with two very different but highly intriguing female protagonists.

Recommended once more. Also try The Wife Between Us - both excellent additions to the genre.

This book doesn't pull any punches, it is a psychological mind bender where you are never quite sure if you know what is going on.I think it is a very clever book ,and it makes you question all the characters ,and even how you would react to certain situations.I thought it was great.I liked the main character, and I didn't want anything bad to happen to her but I wasn't sure if she was going to be alright.I don't want to give too much away and spoil it for other readers, My only very slight criticism is that as I was so eager to get to the end to find out what would happen I did get slightly impatient towards the end of the book, and think it could have been a little shorter, but I am a very impatient reader especially if I am really enjoying a book, so the fault may well be with me.I thought this was a terrific book, and I would give it 4 and a half stars if I could. Thanks so much to the publishers and netgalley for an ARC.

I loved this book. Paranoia, obsession and lies abound in between the pages, and just as I thought I had pinned one character down, there would be a new reveal to keep me on my toes.
There are two narrative voices in this book; Dr Shields, the psychologist, who fascinated me as her psychological 'study' becomes more immoral and less ethical as the book progresses. The other narrative is that of Jessica, who apparently gives up all her secrets and innermost thoughts as part of Dr Shield's study. However, nothing is quite as it seems and the plot thickens as an estranged husband becomes part of the dynamic and the mystery of what happened to a previous participant in one of Dr Shield's research study's. The tension really ratchets up as the book progresses, and the plot races along at a cracking pace. I was practically breathless as I turned the last page, the final events sent chills up my spine.
The two brains behind this book are quickly becoming favourite authors, and I eagerly await their next book.
My thanks go to the publishers and Net Galley for the advanced copy in return for an honest review.

After reading this author's lad book I had high hopes for this one and was not disappointed! Grippy right from the start until the end. Kept me hooked with plenty of twists and turns.

With thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the book in exchange for an honest review.
I have previously read The Wife Between Us by the two authors, Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pakkanen and thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns of that book. I managed to read this book in two sections, sleep intervening!
I found the twists and turns of the story enthralling and I had this compulsion to carry on reading until the end. The three main characters were absolutely fascinating and the two women in particular were very well thought out.
This maybe my best read book of the year so far.
Highly recommended.

As much as I loved the previous books by this author- me and this one did not get along.

I found it boring and couldnt continue to the end

Hendricks and Pekkanen do it again! This duo have become my new favourite authors team. Their psychological insight, the tautness of the narrative, the depth of characterisation combined with a plot sharp enough to wound - this pair are magic. An Anonymous Girl is fraught with foreboding and the perfect read for these dark nights (and days).

Firstly it has to be said the writing duo’s first book earlier this year is one of my favourite books of 2018
This, however, is not!
It is an intriguing idea where Jessica, a make up artist in NY inadvertently ends up starting a study on ethics and morality at the offices of the mysterious Dr Shields
It then, for me, became unbelievable when Dr Shields uses Jessica to try and catch out her cheating husband in evermore outlandish tests
The plot gets confused, I got confused and some of the characters themselves seemed confused
Its a dark story but even in the darkest psychological tale you, as a reader, have to believe that some of it could be real, I just didnt and as the story went on I believed less and less
I did like Jessica and her narrative was sharp but she was way too clever to become embroiled in such a set of events
I really do look forward to the next book by these authors as their first book showed their brilliance

Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen really know how to draw you into a story with no easy escape! An Anonymous Girl is captivating and thrilling from start to finish. There are so many possibilities with what is going on and you start to wonder if you are going crazy for how you doubt everyone!

Highly recommend this book.

When Make-up Artist Jessica Farris signs up for a psychology study conducted by the mysterious Dr. Shields, she thinks all she’ll have to do is answer a few questions, collect her money, and leave. But as the tests go on shes starts to understand that it's not going to be as easy as that because once Dr Shields has you in her life shes not going to let you leave her well not on your terms...

She's clever, manipulative, vindictive and dangerous she wants you only you Jessica she has a task for you a test but one you don't expect you see shes Married but his been unfaithful before & she needs you to find out if he will do it again find out who else if anyone else his been with you are just his type he will want you i'm sure but you are not going to know the reason or who the test is about, she needs to trust you hope you see shes been let down before you better hope you are not like the last girl for your sake Jess!!

when i started reading this book i was not sure but the more i started reading the more i was liking it its a very creepy book too creepy if you ask me, Dr Shields is kind of like a ghost you can't make her out but you know shes there breathing down your neck giving you chills shes clearly unhinged you start to wonder why shes going this far just to she if her husband will cheat but you can see shes just nuts Rich but crazy but calm with it, i really enjoyed reading it i did not expect the ending but i think it was the right one i like a thriller that creeps me out and gives me chills and this book did that up until the very end the story is very good i would tell my friends about this book because they will love it and so will other thriller lovers! thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for my copy of the book

I loved The Wife Between Us so I was very excited to get the opportunity to read An Anonymous Girl.

This is a very original story that had me intrigued. It was a bit slow to start with but once it got going it was great. Full of tension and suspense.

Another great book by the authors.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

Deliciously devious, this is compulsive reading as sexual triangles are overturned, twisted and reformed. Ok, we have to suspend some disbelief but this is slicker than many books in the genre and at least one revelation crept up on me unannounced. I would recommend you don't read any advance reviews to get maximum enjoyment. 4 stars for a clear-your-social-calendar read!

Another absolute belter from this pair. There was enough intrigue and tension about what was happening/coming next to keep the pages turning long after I intended to put the book down, and a real sense of not quite knowing who to believe. I think I would read anything this duo write in the future - guaranteed thrills.

Full review to follow on blog shortly.

I loved Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanens first book so couldn't wait to read this one. I was not disappointed.

This book was full of suspense and the whole way through I was predicting the ending but oh how wrong was I!! I didn't see that ending coming at all! Super book that had me doubting myself never mind Jessica.

Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to review this book. I will definitely be recommending this to my friends.
