Believe it or not, this is only my first Jodi Ellen Malpas ARC but I have some of her books in my TBR shelf... I know I've been saying that a lot lately but I'll definitely make time very soon.

I was a wee bit apprehensive because I didn't know what to expect... like I said earlier, this is only my first Jodi Ellen Malpas read. So I went in blind...

I was hooked from the first chapter to the last. I thought, wow.. reading about Theo Kane kinda' reminded me of Gideon Cross. Although the storyline aren't similar at all, their strong, formidable characters are comparable.

To be honest, if this was in real life... if someone was this persistent and made stalkerish moves, I'd be scared $hitłess but also be low-key flattered, lol.

This is definitely not a light read... it talked about violence, phobias, prostitution and mental abuse... but this book also pulled on my heart strings. There were sweet, tender moments that contradicts Theo's overall persona which made him swoony because let's face it... a real life guy like Theo would probably not show that kind of vulnerability to anyone that early in the relationship. They fell in love fast, but that happens... someone would just suddenly come along and knock the wind out of your sails...

Theo and Izzy kept me on my toes. There was never a dull moment reading about their journey.

For those fans of Sylvia Day and EL James, this is the book to pick up next.

I have never been more excited about a Jodi Ellen Malpas book, I thought we finally had a new alpha male, who could rival the infamous Jesse Ward!

However, Jesse Ward has been put on a pedestal so high, that Theo James just couldn't touch him. Jesse Ward, simply can not be bested! Theo James promised so much and I went into Gentleman Sinner with high expectations but unfortunately I was left with conflicting feelings about this story.

This is a bit of a insta-love story and although Izzy feebly attempts to push Theo away, they ultimately keep finding themselves thrown together. This is an intense love story but Theo came across a little creepy and stalker-ish and I felt that the air of mystery that was supposed to have surrounded this new alpha was lost. It just felt weird!

I enjoy a good chase and the angst of the "will they, won't they?" but there just wasn't any of that in Gentleman Sinner and I also felt it was lacking in any real drama to keep me turning the pages. The story felt rushed and the epilogue just left me baffled, when his "problems" just miraculously disappeared. There were other aspects of this story that were equally baffling and I felt could have been handled differently, as it was, it was over the top and unrealistic.

Overall I enjoyed it enough to keep reading but I didn't love it, which is such a shame as I was so looking forward to it! I am sure that hardcore Jodi Ellen Malpas fans will be delighted with her latest offering though.

Jodi Ellen Malpas did it to me again. She gave me a tortured, sexy, overbearing Alpha male with a hidden heart of gold. Theo Kane delivers an imposing appearance that keeps everyone at a distance. Then one night, he encounters Izzy, a woman with amazing green eyes that isn’t afraid of him. Izzy has amazing compassion, pursuing a career as a nurse to care for people and to feel safe. Her past has a demon in it that not only hurt her physically but emotionally. But her incredible strength has allowed her to push forward and build a life for herself. When she finds herself captivated by Theo Kane, well, she doesn’t know what to think. She has sworn off emotions especially with men but with Theo, all her walls begin to crack. I was pulled in from page 1 and didn’t want their story to end. Even as Izzy worked to stay away from Theo, he wasn’t giving up in all his surly sexiness. I needed to know to their secrets but most of all, I wanted them to realize they could heal each other if they let themselves. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

To say that Izzy is instantly intrigued is an understatement, and soon starts an epic love story. But as time goes on... Izzy starts to suspect that her hero isn't as good as she thought he was. But the exact opposite...

Theo Kane stole my heart and soul. From every word to every kiss I was enchanted with Jodi Ellen Malpas words from start to finish. What started out as a chance encounter, turns to something so much more. Both Theo and Izzy are broken... So many secrets... But together they both can slay the demons at bay.

Beyond fantastic!!! This is a must read dor the romantic reader!! Full of all the good feels and it draws you into the wonderful world of Jodi Ellen Malpas. You will absoultely love it!!

"Most people seem to put as much distance between themselves and Theo as possible. I, however, have a confusing urge to close that distance. I want to be near to him. He has a magnetic pull, luring me closer, and I'm helpless to its power."

There's just something special about JEM's writing, she's a word wizard and I'm under her spell. I can't get enough of her tortured alpha's. She makes me love them, demons and all, every damn time.

Izzy has a painful past that she's hiding from. She's come a long way and is proud of what she has accomplished. She's managed to put herself through nursing school and get a good job at a local hospital. She shares an apartment with her best friend who knows her secrets and is very supportive. She is content and all is well in her world... until she took a shortcut that changed her life.

Theo is intimidating in the daylight, but just imagine how it would be to encounter that giant at night in a dark alley. Everywhere he goes people around him separate to make room for him. They avoid contact and step away. She's such a tiny little thing who went out of her way to help a stranger that was in trouble. He expected her to cower in fear, but she didn't. She wasn't afraid of him.

Izzy tries to go back to her life and forget him but that's not easy to do. Especially when he decides to pursue her. She's curious about him and wonders what he does for a living. "I'd already figured out that Theo danced on the wrong side of the law, I just didn't know how exactly." He lives in a mansion and wears expensive suits. She wants to ask questions, but then she might have to answer some herself.

What an exciting web the author weaved with these two amazing characters. They both have secrets they want to keep and painful pasts that are affecting their present. Neither expected nor have a clue what to do with the unexplainable connection they feel in each other's presence. How long will they be able to resist the pull?

"Theo Kane is like marshmallow coated with steel. He's a big softy in a hard exterior. He's a certain kind of cut handsome that I think only I can see. Because the hard lines of his gorgeous face don't affect me like they do others. I don't tremble in my boots or shake with dread in his presence. Instead, I quiver with want and vibrate with need."

I devoured this story, unable to stop thinking about it long after I turned the last page. That's nothing new with this author though. I read her THIS MAN series years ago, followed by hundreds of other books, and I still remember it. Her characters leave their imprint, they are unforgettable.

I sound like a broken record but I have honestly NOT come across a book written by Jodi Ellen Malpas that I haven't enjoyed. I love her books! I love JEM's alpha men.

From my loves, Jesse Ward (This man series) to Miller Hart(One Night Series) to Jake Sharp (The Protector) to Drew Davis (All I Am) to Jack Joseph (The Forbidden) to Josh Jameson (The Smoke & Mirror Duology) and now, Theo Kane, Jodi Ellen Malpas's alpha men always have and always will steal your heart.

I got to tell you though, It's impossible for me to ever pick a favourite from all the amazing alpha men that Jodi has brought into my life (Yes, I am that delusional hahaha). Jesse Ward is my first love but then the rest of them came and I knew I was screwed. Now we have Theo Kane.... WOW guys. WOW! Theo Kane? Yowza!

Add the Gentleman Sinner to your TBR list. Highly Recommend it.

Isn't that what you were always told growing up?

For Izzy, just getting home after a long shift at the hospital, is worth the risk. Even after her roommate/best friend kept getting after her for using the shortcut home. Izzy’s life changed that one night.

Theo was a Godsend! Where did he appear from? How in the world did he know what was going on? Talk about being in the right place at the right time.

It’s a journey of the nurse who stops to help the victim and the super-hot hunky tattooed man who comes to their rescue. Instantly attracted to each other. Yet both hiding dark secrets from each other.

Totally enjoyed reading this story. As always, Jodi Ellen Malpas brings to us a most memorable over the top hot alpha! Ranking right up there with her other Alphas. To me though, the ending was rushed. We go back and forth through almost 70% of the book before we get any answers. I understand a build-up…but with the build-up that was in this book, I expected more of a reveal/explanation. Even with this being said, it was an enjoyable read for me.

Gentleman Sinner is an intense story of love between two broken souls finding absolution in each other.

I will keep the review for this book short, because I have conflicted feelings about it.

Mostly I enjoyed the book. Theo is an amazing character. Although I didn't like his stalker ways, I can understand it. I was hoping Izzy would be more aware of him, after everything she went though and that she would give him more fight, but no... it was almost like love at first sight...
Their secrets kept me guessing all the way through the book, and although they were revealed, I felt like they were rushed, it wasn't good enough, not for the intensity of the story.

I confess I was expecting more from it and I have no doubt that if some things were more developed, in a whole, the book would be terrible good!

All. The. Feels. Jodi sure went beyond anything She’s done before in my opinion. I wasn’t prepared for it, but I welcomed it with open arms from the get go. Theo Kane is a force of nature. Literally. “He was a muscular beast of a man. Handsome. Terrifying. Threatening but soothing.”

It’s so hard to formulate words for this review, but just know this. It’s dark, gritty, so hot..it has tough subject matter, but Jodi writes it very well and doesn’t linger there for too long. I never thought I would have a rival in my love for Jesse Ward, but Theo Kane is so different, but when you think of it-not really. They both are fierce protectors that would do ANYTHING for their women. Whew, that problem solved of having to choose😆.

I loved Izzy, the heroine so much in this story. She was damaged much like Theo, but she was so strong and knew at first glance that there was something about Theo. Little did she know that she saved His life when she met him (literally with her touch), and vice versa.

Theo had me at this: ““I will treat you like a queen, and fuck you like a whore.” Yes, Daddy.

“My love for her love holds me prisoner.” And that’s all I will say. Go preorder this book now!!

Jodi Ellen Malpas gives us something different in each story. But I was not prepared for Theo Kane and Izzy White's story at all. This an intense story of larger than life and epic love. Theo Kane is my new favorite JEM Alpha now!

Theo Kane has a haunted and gentle soul. Life treated him cruelly and he thinks the worst about himself. Jodi created an intricately layered and complex man. I am fascinated by him completely. I can't tell you about all his mysteries as it will spoil the story. Body of a beast, life of a dangerous sinner and heart of a protector angel- Theo Kane is perfect all the way. Like all JEM Alphas he has own quirks and secrets. But he is just so different from all other men JEM wrote before. Izzy White is another stunning creation. Her strength, her courage, her compassion and her caring heart make her an amazing woman. Amd they are made for each other. Nothing this world can separate them.

The attraction and chenistry between Izzy and Theo was off the charts hot and intense. I think this is a first book by Jodi wher BDSM flavor is felt throughout the story. This story is towards darker and raw side. And I loved every moment of it. Both of them has scarred and traumatic past. But Izzy's touch is "curing" Theo and Theo's protectiveness gives Izzy the secure love she craved all her life. JEM's words were pure magic. The prose were poetic and enticing. The emotions were so beautifully expressed. The last few chapters broke my heart into tiny pieces. I had real tears and goosebumps. The entire reading experience was almost spiritual. Jodi touched my heart and affected me so deeply. I could not stop reading it. I lost myself in the pages and felt so many emotions in me.
So intense, so mesmerizing and so perfect.

Jodi Ellen Malpas has outdone herself in Gentleman Sinner. It is not only a love story.This is a phenomenon. This is a Jodi Ellen Malpas masterpiece. A top 2019 read for me!

You know why I enjoy books by Jodi Ellen Malpas? It's because I know she's going to write best friends who make me laugh, broody alpha males and their strong female counterparts who have the best clashes, and the plot and pacing will keep everything moving. Gentleman Sinner contained all of these things in a way that didn't feel like anything she's written before. Theo, our broody alpha male, was an interesting mix of intensity and vulnerability while Izzy was fierce and fearless right from the start. And their first meeting? The sparks flew between them and never seemed to stop. As a matter of fact, this entire novel seemed to start with a fast pace and that pace never really seemed to slow. I never felt like I had to wait too long for the next twist or turn, nothing was drawn out--if anything, I'd love to have more of all of the characters (especially a certain pairing that I'm hoping will have their own story).



Gentleman Sinner is pure romance, an escape, with strong and interesting characters whose romance is sweet and sexy; you'll find yourself smiling and swooning and unable to put it down.

I’m in love!

Oh Theo how I love you. My heart! My heart is drawn to this wonderful broken man. He’s everything....absolutely everything. I was pulled in right from the beginning, This story will grab you and instantly have you intrigued with these amazing characters.

Izzy is exactly what Theo needs and his need for her will send chills down your spine. These two are absolutely wonderful together and they way they love will steal your heart. This story is amazing and definitely a top read for me. You gotta read it!

I fell in love with Theo Kane. Until today my favorite JEM character was Jesse Ward, but now I love Theo as much as Jesse. They are similar but different too. He wanted Izzy and he did everything for it, he was stalking her (like Jesse stalked Ava). Theo was a big, muscular frightening man, but Izzy wasn't afraid of him. She was attracted to him, first in ten years she felt lust, chemistry. Theo seemed to be a cold, influential, dangerous man with guns and illegal businesses.
But he was so much more. He had a heart and I loved how he cared about Izzy, he treated her like a queen.
I liked Izzy too. She went through a lot but she was strong. I loved them together. Izzy was sassy and funny. I really liked her!
They both had secrets these made the story more interesting. And the sex scenes were hot.
The story was written in Izzy's point of view, but the epilogue was written in Theo's POV. I loved it! The epilogue was sooo sweet!
Congrats Jodi, you made it again! This book became my favorite and I definitely want it on my bookshelf! I loved the plot, the characters.
Gentleman Sinner is a sweet, sometimes funny and hot angsty romance.
I'm curious if there'll there be a book about Callum? I would love to read his story too!

Theo is quite the bold man, “I have an unstoppable urge to take you to bed.” Theo really is a sucker for his girl, “I’m sorry,” he says on a sigh. “So sorry. I’ll make it right, I promise.” He frees me from his arms and smiles sadly as he wipes under my eyes. “Forgive me?” Theo is very sure of himself, “We’re about to have make-up *** for the first and last time. Are you naked under my robe?” I liked this book, I fell in love with Theo.

SOOOO GOOD!! You will love Theo and Izzy so much. Izzy is strong, extremely caring and a survivor. She is the light. Theo may be a hunk of a man but he is also a brut, has issues and a survivor in his own way. He is the dark. You need to read this to see why. Theo is so god commanding you can't help but to want to drawn to him. As you read you will see why Izzy had a hard time fighting what is meant to be. They are hot together. Both damaged yet have this power to heal each other in ways they never imagined. I love Izzy and Theo so much. I love the changes in both of them throughout Gentleman Sinner. Jodi Ellen Malpas does a fantastic job giving you so many feels. At one point I wanted to throw my kindle down and yell at her. This one needs to be read before I say too much more then fall in love with Izzy and Theo.

Ever want to be the heroine in a book? Despite the Alpha-Protector-Stalker qualities of the Hero? Yeah, I want to be Izzy right now in every single way. :::Sigh::: -- I forgot how much I missed JEM stories. I absolutely adore her broken men. Even in all their brokenness, they bring you to your knees, swooning and just wishing they were real in your life. They are unique in their broken-ness but the beauty in their pain is just....beautiful. Theo is just one of those men. "You’re all I can think of when I’m awake...You’re all I see in my dreams.....I crave your touch, and it’s driving me wild because I can’t let you have free rein over me." When two broken people are put in each other's paths, do we see it as fate? Izzy can't imagine why Theo would want her in his life. He is BIGGER than life and could have any woman he wants. Theo can't imagine why Izzy would want to be with someone as broken as he is, but also can't imagine anyone else being able to break through his walls. Can a person who ultimately fears violence and another who ultimately lives in violence learn to put their terrors aside for the greater possibility of forever? Superb writing that truly draws you in and makes you feel for the broken man despite the life he leads and makes you want to not put the book down for even a minute but also wants to make you throw your book across the room in fear, anger, and denial. This hit every single check-mark for me in what I look for in a story.

I don’t even know if there are enough words to describe how much I love this book. I was hooked from the very beginning. I ended up reading it all in one sitting, because I had to know what would happen next.
Theo Kane, this man gave Jesse Ward a run for his money. Theo is truly an alpha through and through. He has a dark past, he is mysterious, he is a broken man, but is also full of love. Izzy hasn’t had an easy life, she is also running from her past. She doesn’t always feel safe, except for at her job at the hospital. That is until she meets Theo, she isn’t afraid of him, there is something about him that makes her feel safe, but also terrifies her.
This book was dark and mysterious for a majority of it, but there were also times that were light. I truly wanted to be on the girls holiday with Izzy and Jess in Vegas, because well it sounded life fun and who wouldn’t want to be BFF’s with those two.
JEM truly doesn’t disappoint with anyone of her books and this may be one of my favorites. Theo and Izzy are two beautifully broken people who find safety in one another. This story was dark, mysterious, suspenseful, sweet, steamy and everything you would expect from a JEM book. It was just flat out fantastic. Not only did I love those two, but I also loved Jess and Callum (plus the sexual tension between those two was fantastic). The epilogue was fantastic, I truly loved Theo in that mode. I don’t want to say anything more and spoiler it, but he was definitely swoon worthy. One of my top reads of 2019!
