two books in one here. although I liked the first one best. Katie MacAlister has another fun dragon book here, and found it hard to put down. I like the puzzle aspect, and Archer and his brother Orion were fun. The next book was a wolf shifter Declan with a cougar shifter Abby. This one had some cliff hangers to it, and I felt Abby could have been stronger. Like the snarky banter, but like the heroines to be less damsel in distress. Still though, both books are a great read and I highly recommend them.

I love reading about dragons so seeing this title on Netgalley was one sure way of wishing for it. I got it, read it and I'll say Archer is headstrong while Thaisa is quirky, fun, insecure and the two can't keep their hands off each other. I enjoyed some bits of the story, but after a while their bantering threw me off.
One thing's for sure, if you're looking for a fun read, this should be in your list.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

I love Katie MacAlister, and this book is an excellent example of why--fast paced and a fun easy read. I read everything by her I can find, the minute I can get my hands on it, and she never disappoints me.

I love some of Katie's books, but this one is not one of them. It vaguely reminds me of her Aisling Gray series and the relationship that the heroine has with the dragon is very similar. I don't think I would read other books in this series.

Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is written in the author's usual style with a quirky, flawed heroine who is secretly more than meets the eye paired with a super alpha dragon that adores her oddities. Now I wasn't super crazy with this heroine she seemed a bit airheaded and makes a lot of contradictory statements that are simply annoying not cute but she's fiery and capable so get pass that.
I will follow the next installment to this series in the hopes that it has the true magic the author knows how to create.
