I was intrigued by the premise—science-meets-suspense with a side of existential mystery? Yes, please. But the execution didn’t land for me. I found it hard to connect with the tone and pacing, and eventually I lost interest. Could still work for readers who enjoy satirical sci-fi or quirky thrillers, but I wasn’t the right audience for this one.
Appreciate the ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, even if I didn’t finish.
