A wonderful read to get you into the holiday spirit. Snowfall is a wonderful small town with quirky locals and an interesting history, but dropping tourism numbers. Maggie has come to town to help design a new website to showcase the town and help bring tourists back. Alden Marshall has been in Snowfall for the past 3 years, returning to the town where he his family has history and a bit of notoriety that he hasn’t quite overcome. Sparks and a bit of meddling from the townspeople keep bringing the two together.
This was a truly sweet read that embodies all that I love about Christmas stories: Small town, wonderful characters, traditions, and a sweet romance. This was a perfect book to read while snuggled into a cozy blanket with a warm drink.

Maggie Iverson's company has been hired to create a new website for the town of Snowfall, Vermont, to draw more tourists and business in. The problem is there is no snowfall so all the winter sports that would normally be going on aren't. Her plan is to get in, do some research, design the site and go home to Boston. But, Maggie gets drawn in by the locals including the very handsome, single veterinarian, Alden Marshall.

Alden has decided to sell his business after three years and move away. He has been reminded that his great grandfather brought a curse on the town and now the lack of snow is his fault. He is tired of feeling judged and found wanting. They love him as a doctor, but some of the locals are very vocal with their displeasure and insistence that the town's troubles are his fault.

When Maggie and Alden meet, their chemistry is palpable. The lodge's owner is determined to play matchmaker and they play along, but along the way, the play becomes real. Both have been hurt before and scared of giving something up for the possibility of more because of the risk. Would it be possible to set their fears aside and have something that is real and lasting?

This was a sweet, clean romance that was a quick read. It kind of reminded me of the movie, "White Christmas". There were some fun secondary characters in the book, too. I was given an arc copy of this book and I offer my review willingly.

I so enjoyed reading this book and watching the attraction between Maggie and Alden. But the little thing that stopped this from being a five star read for me was the stupid curse, it didn’t jive with the rest of the story and I must admit I just didn’t understand it, but that being said all the rest of the story was flat our wonderful.

3.5 Stars - This was a cute Christmas novella. I enjoyed the town of snowfall, the plot, and the fun dates that the characters went on. I felt like the characters were a little bit angsty over small things, which made it feel a little heavier than I wanted it to. Overall I would recommend this book to someone looking for something Christmassy.

Christmas Comes to Snowfall by Erika Marks is a lovely sweet Christmas story about finding where you belong. And finding that one true love.
It´s also about Maggie Iverson that comes to Snowfall for a one-week job. And veterinarian Alden Marshall that has a little bit of a "curse" hanging over him.
Such a great romantic Christmas story.

Christmas Comes to Snowfall was a wonderful read with a very sweet romance that’s the perfect read to get you in the holiday spirit.

Maggie Iverson is dedicated to her job which is why in the week before Christmas she’s headed to Snowfall, Vermont to design a new website for the town to boost tourism. In a town with a unique history, Maggie is having the time of her life uncovering interesting tidbits for the new website. But as she eagerly participates in all the town has to offer, she is forced to dodge matchmaking attempts by the locals hoping to set her up with veterinarian Alden Marshall.

Maggie is the definition of a workaholic, but she has her reasons for investing so much time in making sure her career is a success. I won’t spoil why she’s so dedicated to her job, but I definitely sympathized with her and felt her reaction was only perfectly natural. Alden grew up hearing about how his grandfather broke the heart of Snowfall’s most beloved resident which the townspeople say caused that to be the only Christmas without snow in the town’s history. Alden always thought it was a bit of a joke until he moved to Snowfall and faced the ire of the older townspeople.

Maggie and Alden click from the moment they meet and it only becomes clearer as time goes on that the two are a great match for each other. At first, because of the reservations the two have about love, neither is keen to start a relationship so they opt for friendship instead. Over the week Maggie is in Snowfall, the two spend a lot of time together and get to know one another very well despite the short time period. I enjoyed watching both of them come to accept that they felt more for each other than they were willing to admit.

Despite its short length, Christmas Comes to Snowfall perfectly captures that small town feeling and I loved learning about the town’s interesting history. While I did find it a bit odd that the locals would want to set Alden up with a complete stranger, it fit based on what we learned about the characters doing the matchmaking. The book does end a bit abruptly and while a short epilogue would have been welcome, I did ultimately enjoy the way everything worked out.

Christmas Comes to Snowfall is the perfect little book if you’re looking for a quick romance centered in a small town around the holidays. I definitely recommend this for fans of contemporary romances.

A truly charming and heartwarming Christmas story that’s possible to read in one sitting. The dialog is laced with the warmth of small town life, but does have its moments of tension...only lending more interest to the overall storyline. The characters are quite memorable and have depth and personality...each unique in their contribution to the story’s charm. This is one story that is sure to set the perfect tone for the holiday season.

Christmas Comes to Snowfall by Erika Marks. This is Maggie Iverson and Alden Marshall’s story.

Maggie comes to Snowfall to design a new website to help boost tourism in the town for the holidays and meets Alden who is a veterinarian. Neither have time for a relationship but you never know what can happen with the magic of Christmas or Ezzie’s meddling. I really loved Maggie and Alden’s characters. There were so many characters in Snowfall that added to the story but Ezzie was so much fun.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I adored Christmas Comes To Snowfall. This story packs so much into its short length that it really feels like a much more complex novel yet it is short enough to indulge in the whole book in an hour or two. Perfect for curling up with while sitting in front of a roaring fire with a cup of hot coco or an egg nog. I can just imagine it!
I think that’s one of the things that attracted me to Maggie, the story’s heroine. She is a web designer so obviously pays meticulous attention to detail, but she imagines all manner of delicious foods and drinks, usually when nervous. She also protects her heart by prioritising her career over all else, even though she can’t help but be attracted to Alden, Snowfall’s local vet. I fell a little bit in love with him too, because who doesn’t love a man who makes animals feel better and also because he’s just so charming.
Everything about this story spells Christmas to me, from the gingerbread tree decorated by the townsfolk of Snowfall to the hope for snow to actually fall and make this the 100th year of white Christmases in a row. For me, everything about this story makes it a perfect Christmas romance.

Maggie comes to Snowfall, Vermont in order to redo the town's website and hopefully boost their failing tourism industry. While doing research and getting a feel for the place so she can accurately translate that into her web design, she meets handsome veterinarian Alden, who's great-grandfather 'cursed' the town and...yeah, I got nothing after the 'and,' that was a kind of weird plot. The two hit it off and start to date.

Short and cute, but a lot of the attempts at drama fell flat for me. If it had just been two people having a good time on holiday, that would be one thing, but they tried to spin out this 'curse' from Alden's ancestor that...just...made no sense to me? I don't even know what the result of the curse was supposed to be. Add to that, for all Alden gets mopey about the town 'blaming' him over it, we only ever see one negative interaction between him and any other towns-members. The two leads were pretty cute together and had some real chemistry, and if the story had just stuck to that I probably would have rated it higher.

liked that Alden and Maggie spend a lot of time together and truly get to know each other. He gets what’s driven her to be a job perfectionist to the detriment of her relationships and then points out to her what might really be behind her reticence while also understanding the sexism of how workplaces still expect more from women. Maggie repeatedly points out the silliness behind the (very few) people who still blame Alden through his ancestor’s actions.

Usually matchmaking women in a story will set me off and send me screaming but here it’s done more in fun and seems relatively harmless. There are no wills or inheritances hanging over anyone heads or emotional blackmail. Plus Alden actually gets to be a vet and Maggie does show her website competence. Hooray. The town is small and yes, a lot of people know you and your business but most of the people are nice and seem to like Alden and look after him so it’s more the nice side of small town than anything else. It’s a cute and quick holiday starter and despite it having some issues that can annoy me, here none of them did. B

I so enjoyed this sweet Christmas romance. Maggie , workaholic has arrived in Snowfall to design a new website to boost tourism. She doesn't to Christmas, three broken relationships in the past during the holiday season. Alden is the town veterinarian, who has never been well accepted in the town. Many fear that his family is to be blamed for curse of no snow on Christmas Day. There is no denying the chemistry between Maggie and Alden but they just want to both be friends, that is the plan. But with help of matchmaker, Ezzie things might change.

This story will for sure put you in the Christmas mood from making cookies and sledding. Loved the development of the characters for their HEA. Loved the quirky residents of this town. I highly recommend this sweet Christmas story.

This is the story of Maggie Iverson, a website designer who comes to Snowfall to redo the town’s website in order to improve the town’s tourism. She meets Alden Marshall, the town vet, right away. They end up spending lots of time exploring what the town offers, but only as friends.
I really enjoyed this novel. The story takes place over a week, but somehow the pacing seemed perfect and not rushed. The characters don’t see each other every day, but the time they have together counts. Perhaps it is because they spend the time together as just friends.
The town characters are wonderful. I loved the matchmaker who is unabashed about what she is doing and is obviously successful. It was nice though that the town is realistic in that there are curmudgeons and grouches too.
The ending of this book was lovely! Both characters grow and it is that growth that allows them to come together in such a sweet scene.
It is a wonderful book to put you in the mood for Christmas!

Alden Marshall returns to his family's hometown of Snowfall Vermont as the town veterinarian. It is the perfect opportunity for his career. Now three years later, it may be time to move on. Maggie has come to town to help market the resort town to attract more visitors. Neither one of them is lucky at love and both are gun shy. Maggie draws him into the magic of Christmas. Will the magic of the season be enough for them to take a chance on love? Super fun read!

In Christmas Comes to Snowfall by Erika Marks Tule Publishing sends us not to Montana or to the Southern US but to Vermont for a heartfelt Christmas story. The story moves at a fairly quick pace but it is not less enjoyable because of it. The good and the not so good, long memories to be exact, are brought to light as veterinarian Alden Marshall and Maggie Iverson meet.

One character is looking for the good to highlight the town for work, while the other has experience some of the bad that small-towns can offer. Both work through their personal issues, then enjoy the Christmas season which takes on a magical quality even in Snowfall, Vermont
.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Christmas Comes to Snowfall might come in a small, short story package but it certainly delivers a huge Christmasy feeling romance to fall into this season. Really. What’s not to love about a Christmas Curse, a town with a long memory and a grudge, a workaholic visitor and a hometown boy falling in love with maybe some help from the resident matchmaker? Exactly. It’s the perfect Christmas Romance storm and I loved every single moment spent in the town of Snowfall with it’s quirky residents, a curse that may or may not be still in action and watching two people who are right for each other discover that for themselves.

Alden and Maggie both need to let go of their pasts, maybe in different ways, but until they put all that behind them it’s going to be difficult to move forward… or to fall in love. While Alden doesn’t normally fall for all the Christmas glitz that the town puts on, Maggie is eating it all up. Oh, she could say that it’s for research to create a fantastic website to boost Snowfall’s tourism … but she’s also loving everything Christmasy about this place. Maggie is only in town for a week, but that’s long enough to be captivated by the town and it’s history, and maybe long enough to risk her heart by falling in love again. Alden has just about had it with some of the older residents of Snowfall still blaming him and his family for that silly Curse, and as a result Christmas isn’t exactly his favorite time of year. Yet Maggie is changing that, changing him and if he’s not careful he’s going to find himself falling in love.

I happen to love quirky, small town romances so much, and Erika Marks does them so well. I had fun with Maggie and Alden, as well as the residents of Snowfall. Truthfully, I wish it had been a little bit longer, an epilogue would have been awesome… but that’s my own wishes. I never know if the way a story flows is the author’s choice, the editors or the publishing house – so I’m careful about saying some things in reviews… but I really would have loved to experience more of Snowfall… maybe a series next Christmas? Just wishin’ here. *grin* If you love Christmas Romance then you’ll want to pick up Christmas Comes to Snowfall, it’s going on my yearly re-read list and that’s the highest compliment I can give a Christmas Romance… to want to experience it again, next year.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
