I was so incredibly lucky to be on the launch team for this book and I highly recommend it to all when it comes out in a few weeks! The book really was a breath of fresh air and felt just like a hang out with Jordan where all the deep girl talk happens.

I don’t recall one point she made in the book not applying to my life, which is what really made it so hard to put down. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this book and will likely gain a refreshed feeling about where you are at in your life and how you can fully live our purpose in that moment instead of just in the future if certain goals are obtained. Feeling down and out and without purpose? This book addresses today's common, basic issues that hinder us from owning our daily lives. Not only does it point out the difficulties we go through, it also gives us practical and relevant steps to empower every women around the world.

I really enjoyed reading this book because it was very down to earth and in no way offensive as the author shares her own life experiences which also made it very comprehensible. It was easy to understand and grasp each concept which begin to shift my paradigm on how I see life.

In this whole book, the author emphasises on intentional purposeful living while not forcing readers to figure out what to do with our lives. Instead, the author encourages us to live a life that serves God and people. As long as we are doing that, we can find purpose in everything we do.

After reading this book, I've started listening to Jordan's podcast. I love how she makes everything so real and gives practical steps to Own Our Everyday. I would definitely recommend this book to all women out there.

I liked how Jordan mentioned in the book that she isn’t trying to push her faith into you the reader but she wasn’t going to hide her faith either. This helps with a broad audience. I am not religious, I knew she was, but never found the book to be strictly for Christian women.

the author shares her stories, her struggles, and gives some tips. Easy read! Highly recommend.

I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would. The lessons were good - but I feel like the title of the book and the story told didn't live up to my expectations.

Choose to show up. Love God. Love People. These are the three themes Jordan walks us through in "Own Your Everyday". Her story feels like a conversation with a friend. One that breathes truth in both the easy and not so easy experiences of everyday life. I would definitely recommend for a reader looking for a breath of fresh air, an encouraging word, and an honest truth!

I absolutely loved reading this book!! It was such a great eye opener and made me think about how I'm living my life. I now pay more attention to living everyday to the fullest and not trying to be such a perfectionist. God's timing is always right and he will never let me down. This is a must read. I will for sure be reading it again!!

Relatable and Ecouraging!

This book gives practical advice to women in all different walks of life on how to embrace their everyday life instead of waiting for life to get better.

Dooley is candid and sincere in her own stories about life that make her easy to relate to.

Own Your Everyday is such a REAL life view on how you can be your best self. Jordan's voice is so honest and relatable. As a woman, its so easy to lose sight of yourself and what you want to do with your life and this book is a great reminder that we can and should be our best self and accomplish the things we set out to do.

Initially skeptical, but ultimately enjoyed

I was a little unsure about this book when I first got it because I thought it would be geared more towards high school/college/recent graduate women. Although there were some parts that definitely catered to that age group, overall I feel like there were some great messages that all women should read, regardless of their age. I appreciated some of the concrete steps that she provided to help dig deeper into your purpose, and will likely reread this book again in the future.

Jordan's voice through the book is conversational, and as she shares some of her life experiences, and more than her fair share of wisdom nuggets, you'll feel as if you were sitting down for coffee (or pizza ;) ), and having this good, long conversation with her about pretty much anything (from how to deal with impostor syndrome and/or disappointment to body image, and so many other things). You won't regret grabbing this book and reading it. She's fun, she's down to earth, and she wants to help you. Believe me, you'll laugh, you'll cry and, bottom line, you'll relate so much you'll be saying "girl, same" pretty much from the get-go.

I knew absolutely nothing about Dooley going into this book, and I usually prefer it to be that way with authors in this personal development and/or faith-based non-fiction genre. So often, these books get picked up by the mainstream Christian women's wave and it sways the opinions of many readers. I prefer to formulate my own opinion. I thought this book was okay, but it lacked depth. I enjoyed learning about Dooley's life in the personal stories she shares. The chapters were quick and easy to read. There were quite a few good soundbites, but overall, there wasn't anything groundbreaking here. These inspirational books geared toward women of faith are a dime a dozen, sharing the same platitudes and encouragement. *Advance copy provided by the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

This book came to me just at the right time on the brink of my 30th birthday. I’m one of those people who have had my life planned out since high school. Seriously, knew all the college courses I would take, when I would take them etc. As I found out early in college, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.” I changed from a pharmacy major to a psychology major my freshman year of college. My senior year of college, I decided to pursue graduate school and become a counselor. 5 years after graduating with my master’s, I still have not completed licensure for my counseling and I’m technically not working in a job that even needed that degree. I say all this to point out that planning got me nothing but a lot of heartburn and headaches. As I approach 30, and look at my list of things I wanted to accomplish before my 30th birthday, very few of those things have been accomplished and this book helped me understand that, THAT’S OK.
I say it again for the one’s in the back, IT’S OK! Goals change, people change and your life path certainly isn’t a straight line.
Thank you to WaterBrooks and Multnomah for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks go to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a book that I will definitely purchase a hard copy of, despite having already read the e-book for this review. It’s the kind of book that I want to highlight, and scribble notes into the margins and think about during those minutes when I crawl in bed and wait for sleep. Jordan Lee Dooley shares many insights into living a life of purpose, but one of the most essential is that I don’t have to have my perfect life plan completely mapped out and be successfully 2/3 of the way through it before I can live a life of purpose. NO MATTER WHAT SEASON OF LIFE YOU ARE IN, YOU CAN HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT. Putting the ideas in this book into practice can be a world changer!

Wonderful book. Jordan writes as if she has known you for her whole life. Her vulnerability and authenticity shine through! She does a great job tackling heavy issues while also giving helpful tips and advice on how to address them in your own life. I love how she incorporated greater details about her faith. I recommend this 100%, it can be helpful and relevant to women of all ages!
