I love this series, you actually feel like you belong in Sun City West, but oh the problems! This time there has been a murder of a prominent neighbor Sorrel Harlan - - who would name a kid Sorrel right? Sadly, she is found murdered with an arrow in her neck.

Of course Phee's mother Harriet is right in the thick of things and feels Phee and the private investagators should be doing more, so SCW can get back to it's normal retirement activities.

The plot thickens when so many clubs and organizations need to be scrutinized such as the dog park, the bocce teams, the garden club, the book club members, Sorrel's personal life and Sorrel's hippie attitude to change the environmental issues of the golf course to be converted to an eco-friendly park. Which in turn would make the homes lose value as they they would no longer be considered situated on a golf course.

The problems abound trying to figure out just who would actually kill Sorrel, even though she was not their favorite citizen.

There were so many people and names that threaded throught this book, it was hard to keep all of the members, friends, neighbors, etc straight. So I finally decided , hey in real time who could remember every single name in every single organization or committee. So I decided to just remember the main players and sit back and enjoy this delightful series.

You take pity on Phee trying to have a personal life and trying to keep her mother happy! I understand completely!!

Yes, they do finally figure out how this all took place, but only after some harrowing experiences.
