I found this book to be interesting, well argued and very readable, and especially appreciated the attention given to some of the less "in" authors and books - although, while I know these things tend to be perennial if not eternal, I'm not sure how big Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and The Celestine Prophecy are these days. I also appreciated one of his points that I haven't felt is made often enough - that a lot of the same issues that plague religious fundamentalism also show up in the "kinder, gentler" New Age ideas. However, I feel that it is highly unlikely to appeal to the author's target audience, given what seemed to be an inordinate amount of snark aimed at them. While I (the choir to whom he is preaching) may find it amusing, the old saying "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" is still true, where believers - assuming they are curious enough to pick up a book such as this one - are concerned.
