I thought this could have been paced better. The whole setup and reveal about the ex was unsatisfactory to me. The male lead's backstory came out as an infodump, while it's nice story, it just didn't feel too connected to the actual story. More breadcrumbs should have been left so that when we finally got to know his past, there'd be a more of a relevance to his behavior.

This is the final installment in the Little Book Cafe series, and the best. Emotional in part, this book focuses on various relationships. A satisfying read.

This was a good read. It took me some time to get used to the characters and the story, mainly because I haven't read the other books in this series. I liked the way Amy's portrayed in the story. Issues with her mum and dad, ex-fiance` and Patrick - it was emotional. The way things changed between Amy and her mum, Katrina, was something that I did not expect. Katrina never lost an opportunity to underestimate or criticize her own daughter! From calling her a lump of lard to throwing away a piece of yummy cake to disliking the grey cardigan, Katrina was a box of complaints!

Amy's feelings towards Patrick was heart-warming and lovely. Though she did have some low confidence issues, especially when it comes to her weight, in the end, Amy spoke her heart out. And so did Patrick. From not being comfy discussing his personal life to best buddies to much more, their relationship blossomed into a fragrant flower that lasts forever.

Amy's bookshop sounded really good. I wish there was one just like The Little Book Cafe` around here! From a wide variety of choices of books to storytelling events to book signing events, each of these scenes was delightful to read. If you are planning to read The Little Book Cafe` series, I recommend you to read the first two books - Tasha's story and Emma's story and then read Amy's story.

My Rating: 3.5/5 (rounding it off to 4)

Overall, it was an enjoyable read. Suitable for a light and cozy read.

I loved the cover on this book and couldn't wait to read the story inside. I think I should have read the other two in the series first because it was confusing when there was mention of what had happened to other people in the previous books.

I loved the little book shop and could visualise what it looked like ready for Halloween with its cobwebs, cauldron and paper bats to name but a few. Amy, the manager, was a talented lovely person but her parents divorce and being jilted at the altar had left her with very little confidence. Her mother was the queen of negative comments which knocked Amy even more.

Patrick, is an author suffering from writers block and when Amy's Halloween pumpkins are smashed he steps in to make sure he is around when she locks up etc. Amy comes to rely on his friendship more and more.

the story line was very predictable and I would like to have read more about the book group and about the seaside town, although the town might have been described more in the previous two books. It was a quick, easy read but unfortunately it wasn't a book for me.

This was a good book. It took me a while to get into it. Once I did, I discovered that the main character (Amy) was very similar to most women in the world today. Her parents divorced while she was young and although she was articulate and educated, she suffered from low self-esteem issues and her mother was a large contributing factor. Amy is the owner of a local book store where she hosts events for authors in the community and her own book club. One of her coworkers, an author and friend (Patrick) becomes the missing ingredient her life needs. The book ended on a good note but I want to go back and read the others contained in the series because this is the 3rd book.

Nevertheless, I want to thank the author for allowing me to review this book. I am very appreciative and hope others will enjoy reading as well.

What caught my attention for this book was the book cover and how can you go wrong with a book Cafe? A sweet and cute book that was quick to read. You will get to know Amy in this book and know what she deals with. A mom who critiques her and she has to deal with the heart break of being left at the altar. Amy will learn to know herself better and let other people in her life. There is a build up of romance. My friends would call this a wholesome book.

I enjoyed reading it and I will go back and read the other two books in the series. Always fun when I find a new series. Happy Day!

What a light lovely story.
Amy runs a book shop with Millie’s cafe linked next door.
She has a broken heart after being jilted at the alter.
Her mother is a conatant critic in everything she does, then along co es Patrick.
Along with her friend Emma, Amy starts up a book club, getting many women of the village involved.
After some minor vandalism, Amy feels nervous closing the shop at the end of the day. Patrick overs to come nd sit with her and help close up at, to help ease her fears of being alone in the evening locking up the shop. Amy tries to find information about Patrick, who she is slowly falling for.

A nice, fun read and I look forward to reading more from Georgia Hill. High praise vor her lovely series.

I received this book on Netgalley. This little book was charming and a nice romance novel between a bookseller and a writer. Both have shattered pasts but they are able to find their HEA.

A sweet cozy novel. Perfect for an enjoyable afternoon/evening read. There were some weak spots.. Some work on the relationship developments isn't necessary but would have added to this novel.

I really wanted to enjoy this. It did not set well with me, I struggled to finish. This book is perfect, for someone else! So if it interests you do give it a try. I just could not correct with any character. A book café, a writer, love.. it had everything that sounded wonderful. It just didn't work for me.

While browsing NetGalley this sweet little book caught my eye.
The cover is adorable and filled with fall goodness.
Plus the blurb...
“Escape to the seaside for a new three-part series for fans of The Canal Boat Cafe and
Willow Cottage...
Amy, the manager of The Little Book Cafe, is a hopeless romantic, who had her heart broken,
but quietly refuses to give up on love.
With her friends, Tash and Emma, not to mention their shared love of books and delicious cake
from the cafe next door, Amy might just find the courage to fall for a real life romance this time.
Amy's Story is the final installment of The Little Book Cafe series... so wrap up warm this
Autumn and treasure this wonderful book.”

Definitely, a cozy romance based in a small {fictional} coastal town in England.
I hadn't realized the story was across the pond, until I started reading and found the terminology to be a bit different {I liked it!}

I loved the setting, how the bookshop and cafe played an important role in the story.

The characters were enjoyable, with the exception of Amy's overbearing mother, Katrina
{wow, what a pill!}.

Even though this is part of a series, Amy's Story can be read as a stand alone.
But if you want to spend more time with these characters and The Little Book Cafe, I would
consider reading the first two books, which focus on Tash and Emma.

From what I gather, Ms. Hill has written another series, which contains a few of the characters from The Little Book Cafe. This has my interest ~ I love revisiting “old friends”.

Overall, I recommend this book and found it to be an enjoyable read!

I received this electronic book from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Amy's story is the perfect way to end this romantic series. which spotlights some hard-hitting issues among the books, cakes and romance.

Amy has featured in the first two books in the series, but she deserves her own happy ending and Patrick, the Irish charmer may just be the man to give it to her. Amy has more emotional baggage than most. She has her reasons for being shy of relationships. Her lack of self-esteem is compounded by her overcritical mother, who has her own regrets, which she takes out on Amy. Patrick is her friend, always there to help and doesn't judge, she's in love but he seems content to remain just friends.

Amid, the book clubs, parties and solving the local crime wave, love finds a way and this story ends on an undeniably hopeful note. The only drawback, this is the last one. Hopefully, there may be a few more tales to be told in Berecombe yet?

I received a copy of this book from Harper Impulse via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Interesting, but predictable read. Might be better if you read books 1 and 2 before you dive into Amy's story since some of the characters tend to fall flat. Good for readers who want a confort quick read, not for readers who are looking for a bit of the unpredictable.

While I did enjoy this book, I did not realize it was the third in the series. I would recommend this series, but only if you read them in order. I did feel a little lost at times, because I think it was assumed that if you were reading this, you had read the first two, so there was not really an explanation of who all the characters were and their relationship to Amy, who is the focus of this particular book.

I really enjoy my visits to The Little Book Cafe.  This is the third book in The Little Book Cafe series and tells Amy's story.

Georgia Hill has written many many wonderful books.  She is able to create a world that I would happily live in. Wonderful characters, beautiful animals, fun neighbours and love around every corner.... what more could you want?  I would highly recommend this author who writes sweet reads.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Impulse and Georgia Hill for the opportunity to read and review this novel.

The Little Book Cafe by Georgia Hill is a nice, easy read to sit and enjoy on an autumn or winters afternoon. It has everything you need to enjoy the story; cake, hot chocolate and a love interest. What more can you possibly need. Good fun and entertaining.

Today I am sharing my thoughts on the last part of The Little Book Café series by Georgia Hill. Before I delve into the actually storyline and my feelings about it. I just have to point out how utterly gorgeous the covers of this book is. Readers who know me, might guess that the third cover is without a single doubt my absolute favourite. Because it feels so cosy and it just breaths autumn. I absolutely love the design. They really speak to me. If they were put out in a bookstore I would definitely cover buy them all.
But let’s get down to business and talk about the actually story of the book. The story of Amy, the manager of the Little Book Café. At first I thought it was a little weird we were going to follow Amy, especially because in the synopsis she is mentioned as a friend of Tash and Emma. To be completely honest I was actually thinking I missed something in the previous books, because you really can’t say the is friends with the other who main characters. She runs the book café and they meet, but they most definitely aren’t friends at the beginning of the story. Amy is like the girl who is always there in the background, but really doesn’t play any significant part in the overall story arc. But and this is a very important but… in this series she gets her own instalment and it was so totally worth it. I just loved Amy’s story so much more than Tash’s and Emma’s.
Amy isn’t my normal go to girl. I like my female characters to be witty, strong and independent. Amy is a little insecure about almost everything in her life. Or that is how she comes across when you first meet her. When you get a closer look out of the 3 main characters Amy is the one who wants what she wants most in life. She is the one fighting for what she believes in. Never doubting the choices she made and she does it all with a huge passion. I really liked her and her story.
Of course looking through the eyes of Amy we finally spend the whole story in the Little Book Café. Better late than never, I guess. But it was really very enjoyable. Especially seeing all the evens Amy organised. It really made me long for a similar bookstore in my village. I would spend all my time and my hard earned money there. I must say in this instalment you really felt the season peeping through in the story and that added an extra layer. It really gave the story more body and more attachment for the reader. I wanted to smell all the fall cakes and see the decorations. It brought the story more to life for me.
The love story was from the beginning quite predictable; but sometimes it doesn’t need to be mind-blowing and new. It was just good old fashioned romance. Really enjoyable and a bit sweep me of my feet in the classical way. Perfect for a main character as Amy.
Amy’s story was for me without any doubt the strongest story in the series. I still wouldn’t call The Little Book Café a must read. But for a booklover like myself, who also enjoys the mentioning of pastries and cakes thought a novel, this is a lovely little treat to read between other novels. And of course… they look absolutely stunning on your bookshelves.

Review will come online on my blog on 28/11/2018.
