I really enjoyed this.

It's innocent and fluffy and romantic, all the things I aim to avoid with books, but the closer to Christmas it gets, the softer my reading genre gets, so this was perfect!

I enjoyed reading about Amy and her story. Learning about her past and how it was affecting her present. And when a hunky author comes to town, we just know what is going to happen.... But although predictable it was still great to read it.

I've read the others in the series and they are all sweet, easy reads. I would recommend.

This was a charming fall/holiday-ish read! I liked how the portrayal of the different relationships-between Amy and her mother, Amy’s friends, and her love interest- reflected growth as the story progressed. I also enjoyed the secondary characters and now need to go back and check out the first two books in this series!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Little Book Cafe is a sweet quick read that was perfect for a lazy afternoon.I really enjoyed it and ordered the first two books in the series to finish off the weekend. After being jilted at the altar, Any finds herself in a new job and town and on a journey of rediscovering herself and romance. I loved watching her friendship with Patrick grow into romance. Great series.
Thank you Netgalley for a ARC and this is my unbiased review.

Hill is back with another installment in her series, The Little Book Café, and I couldn't be more thrilled!

Hill features a different character in each of her books. This time it is Amy's Story. We were first introduced to Amy in book one where she was being mistreated by the book's main character, Tash. I identified at once with Amy who has an overbearing, often very cruel mother who spends her time belittling her daughter's very existence. Amy was left at the alter and her self-esteem is, quite nearly, non-existent. She runs the bookshop that is attached to the bakery in her town and has made quite a success of the shop and her small book club. When a new author comes to town to write his next book, Amy doesn't dare allow herself to have feelings for him, this charming, beautiful Irish man; but, fates just might have other ideas for Amy.

The Little Book Café is a delightful series, full of quick wit, extremely relatable characters and situations that are utterly identifiable. It is a very short book, as are each of the books in the series, and will actually leave you wanting to know more about Amy and her friends in Berecomb. This is a good sign for me - when I want to read more, know more, experience more from a book and its characters. Naturally, after reading Amy's Story, I had to go back and read the first two books in the series and they were equally fun and witty! This book is set in autumn and is a perfect read for this time of year as we are nestled between Halloween and Christmas stories. It also can be perfectly read as a stand alone - but I promise you will want to read them all! This is the perfect story when you have just a little bit of time and want something uplifting and happy to read! Go ahead, enjoy!

Thanks so much to #Netgalley, @HarperImpulse and to Georgia Hill for my copy of #TheLittleBookCafeAmysStory!

A very satisfying conclusion (I think) to the Little Book Cafe series. A good read, especially if you have already read the others in the series.

Story is a seemingly ordinary one; but it still manages to capture interest.
A very simple but well-written story .Definitely a good one-time holiday read.

I enjoyed this book. Initially I chose it because I absolutely loved the cover. Even though I haven´t read any of the author´s previous books I did not feel lost (although I want to read the other two now). I can´t say it´s a literary masterpiece but there is a depth to the characters that this genre sometimes lacks, so I rate it for what it is, a book that made me smile :)

In the story, we get to know Amy, who owns a little bookshop in a small seaside town in Devon (I believe). Amy has been stood up by her fiancé at their wedding day, which hasn´t exactly done much for her confidence. Her mother, who is overly critical of Amy´s appearance, isn´t helping at all and Amy seems to find comfort in cakes (not that I blame her, who doesn´t like a good cake). Somehow, an Irish man called Patrick stumbled into her life and while she finds herself longing for more she struggles to `figure him out`. He doesn´t share much about himself or his past and so Amy is convinced he´s hiding something.

I really like Amy, I love her love for books and the fact that she wants to bring people in the community together with all the events she hosts in her shop. She, although sometimes shy and reserved, has a big heart and wants to help everyone, even those who have been less than kind to her.

If you´re looking for a fairly short, seasonal story, this is it.

Returning to the Little Book Cafe for the third installment in this series felt like coming home to old friends.

The gorgeous setting of Berecombe is an idyllic backdrop to this series and Amy's bookshop plays a key role. She is the sweetest character you could hope to meet and it was a joy to witness her blossom throughout the story turning into a courageous and successful woman. Her relationship with the mysterious Patrick played a key factor to the story which continued to sizzle nicely as the book processed which ensured my attention was well and truly kept to see if Amy would receive the happy ever after she so desperately deserves. Patrick's story was heartbreakingly beautiful to read and it moved me greatly to hear what life had dealt him.

As usual with these glorious books, Millie's delectable sweet treats play a huge role and this one did not disappoint. I was sure I could taste the peanut caramel cheesecake and Millie's special hot chocolate as it was being described before my eyes. My only wish was that I could have had more Biddy in the storyline as she is my absolute favourite. Please say that there is going to be more from her in the future because I won't settle until I know how well Adventures in the Skin Game went.

Once again I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Berecombe and felt it came to an end all too soon. A story of love, relationships and self belief. So grab yourself a hot chocolate and a blanket and snuggle in to read Amy's story, a perfect read for this autumn season.

This is a perfect cozy romance book to curl up with as the weather starts to turn. You'll fall in love with the relatable protagonist and cheer her journey to love along with self-discovery with her close friends. It's a feel-good story that you know will have a happy ending which doesn't deter from the story at all.

When I received this book, I didn’t know it was part of a series. I immediately bought the other two and read those first. Amy’s story was a wonderful conclusion to The Little Book Cafe. Such a fun read, I cannot wait to read more from Georgia Hill.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.

What a charming place The Little Book Cafe is. Set in seaside England, The Little Book Cafe series picks up where The Cupcake Cafe series leaves off. Amy manages this fabulous bookstore in Berecombe and introduces us to the many characters who frequent the store. Amy grew up in the town prior to moving to Singapore for her father’s job. When her father divorces her mother, mom & Amy move back to Berecombe.

Amy’s mother is constantly critiquing Amy’s life, especially since Amy was jilted nearly at the altar. Amy has found herself managing a bookstore and living in an attic apartment which makes her very happy. Sadly, though, with the jilting and her mother, she struggles with her self-esteem. Amy’s friends Tash & Emma try to encourage her, and Patrick, the handsome author who is often at the bookstore, seems to fancy her, but Amy doesn’t have the confidence to find out.

This is the third book in The Little Book Cafe series. I had never read any of the previous books by Georgia Hill, but having enjoyed this one immensely, I think I will go right back to The Cupcake Cafe and start there. Hill has created a space that I would love to visit. The characters are wonderful - from the animal loving Tash to the aloof Marti, each woman brings a different vibe to the story. Grab the new compilation that has all three stories in one and enjoy!!

This is a series of three books. I confess that I haven't read the other two, but that wasn't an issue. The characters from the previous books were interwoven well within the story. I could be reported to read the previous 2 books.
Enjoyable read. Loved the fact that Amy was a plus sized girl who fancies a gorgeous Irish writer.

This was a lovely short story. I really liked the characters and their separate stories. I would have enjoyed this book more if it had been a bit longer.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

The Little Book Café: Amy’s Story by Georgia Hill, Harper Impulse and Killer Reads, 2018.

Early in this contemporary romance, readers will hope to see that a friendship will develop into something more, and that a mother will begin to treat her daughter with more kindness and less criticism. I don’t expect this book will change anyone’s life or be especially memorable, but it is a pleasant story and an enjoyable read.
