This was an okay book. I figured out immediately who was stalking Mel. And the reasons behind this was just beyond stupid. Especially when the medicine was put in Melanie's drink. Then, in the end, it was hurriedly wrapped up. I was also annoyed that most of the book was spent dealing with Melanie's relationship insecurities. So a college boyfriend cheated on her, that is not that serious where it stunted her emotional growth to that effect where she was suspicious of everyone's motives. I felt no real connection between her and Finn. It was like he was doing most of the emotional work. The writing could have been a little better. I voluntarily read this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Before we even get to the review I must see I nearly dropped this more a dozen times before I even finish reading the first chapter. I know it hasn't been released yet but the format for the ARC was driving me crazy and it was so distracting. Double spaced and the some of the sentences weren't even on the same line.

Overall “Watch Over” was not what I was expecting when I requested to read this. By the time I got to chapter 2 I already knew this was a goner. The blurb was a lot more interesting than the actual story itself. I was disappointed in the lackluster content, characters, storyline and how unengaging everything was. Unfortunately I did not finish the series and it was dopped by chapter 6 at 22%.

Overall I enjoyed this book. I loved how Mel and Finn met over a shared cat. The notes made me smile.
I loved the mystery. Although I have to admit that midway through I felt like I was wading through treacle. That said I'm glad I made it to the end.

Watch Over is a fun and engaging romance. It's typical of the genre. The addition of the cat gives it a little something extra. Fast read. If you like romance, you'll like it. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

A cute romance story between Melanie, an artist and Finn, a detective. They are becoming friends when the same cat is visiting both at the same time.
Thank you Netgalley for this nice book.

A very driven, dark ride, this book constantly had me on the edge of my seat! The descriptions were out of this world wonderful, and the continuously fast moving plot in addition to the build up of suspense was a killer! The romance felt a little off at times, but I think that was just a personal opinion thing, I know a lot of people who will love it, and the writing and plot definitely made up for it. I can't wait to read more from this author, because this was so enjoyable. Well worth the read!

I enjoyed this story which made a change from the usual books that i normally read. It is the first time that i have read a book by this author and will no doubt read more. The two main characters are very likeable and is a book that one doesn't feel as if you have to turn the pages quickly. In other words, an easy going book, which has a touch of humour as well as suspense and romance.

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for my copy. This is my honest review.

What a great story from finish to end. When Melanie's cat starts going down the road to another house and goes back with a note attched to it's collar she is intrigued. She answers the note and receives a reply. They soon meet and like each other straight away. What's not to like a good looking cop called Finn with a sense of humour and a large loving family.
When Melanie starts to feel that someone is following her and has been in her place Finn is concnerned. Then a fire with a message burned into the ground makes them fear for her life. Can they get to whoever is doing this before it's too late. The ending was great and was totally expecting it to be someone else. I can't wait to read other books in this series.

Really enjoyed this book. Loved how Mel and Finn “met” at the beginning and how their relationship grew. There were a few issues with formatting so at times it was a bit frustrating to read but this didn’t detract from the story.

I'm not sure what's going on with the formatting for this book, but it made it so distracting to read. That, with the lackluster/ordinary characters kept me from really caring to follow the story. DNF @ 20%.

I got to about 35% and gave up. I hate not finishing a book but this was just too slow moving for me.

This is a first time read author for me and I truly enjoyed Finn and Melanie's story. Finn is at home recovering from a recent incident and he has eyes on his neighbors two doors down. Melanie is introverted, shy and the cat is delivering cute letters between the two. I loved Finn's family and hope to read more about them. Filled with a bit of suspense and action.

Loved it! This was the first novel I have read by this author. I loved it! It was a romantic suspense novel. I loved the heroine, Melanie. This novel sucked me in from the very first chapter and kept me on the edge of my seat until the very last page. I loved the chemistry between Melanie and Finn. I love a novel that will keep me guessing and leaves me with a smile on my face and this novel certainly did that for me. Loved it!

Recommend!

The story begins with a cat - CJ Cooper - that delivers notes between a cop on disability and an introverted writer. Finn, the cop, is still hurting from a recent break-up with a TV anchorwoman. Melanie (Mel), the writer, has just lost her beloved aunt to cancer. Mel (24) is quite shy - she only had one relationship - and that was in college a few years ago. In contrast, gorgeous Finn (27) has had a bevy of beauties. Regardless, he takes more than an interest in Mel.

The two hook-up eventually and Finn realizes he has to walk on eggshells with Mel. With a large family to help him get along with his broken leg and ankle, Finn needs assistance. He tries to draw out Mel by "letting her" help him out (And by introducing her to his 5 brothers and sisters.) She may be shy, but Mel has fallen hard for the handsome Finn and has made friends with his two sisters. Mel, however, feels undeserving of Finn.

Eventually Mel meets Finn's parents - his entire family warms to her.
During this relationship Mel has had some odd things happen: doors left open, dishes placed where she swears she did not leave them, her dog left outside and even worse. Being a cop, Finn sees this all add up and becomes wary and quite protective of Mel.

Any more would be a spoiler but the turns this story takes are superb. Highly recommend!

Many thanks to Limitless Publishing, Amy Reece and NetGalley for the chance to review this book!

Sorry - this was a DNF due to formatting for me. The premise sounds good, but the ARC/Netgalley formatting is so poor it's unreadable.

A fiery romantic suspense story with a good plot. I enjoyed "Watch Over" by Amy Reece. It's the first I've read by her and won't be the last. Good from start to finish.

This was a good who-done-it although amateurish writing and storyline. I finished the book but it was not compelling enough for me to race through to the end. A decent read, sweet romance but not a page turner.

Mel and Finn met trough stray cat who is become their daily routine and Mel’s new pet. Mel is a shy introvert person and when she finds out that Finn is in a wheelchair is trying to help him. So their story starts slowly with eating together, watching a movie, as Finn rehabilitation progress so does their relationship. But there is something that is ruining their happiness and is a stalker who tried to kill Mel. Why and who is yet to find out. Lovely sweet story with great characters, witty and fun to read. Although is kind of predictable it was an enjoyable read and I had fun reading it.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
