Legend (Arizona Vengeance #3) by Sawyer Bennett is the next member of the Arizona Vengeance hockey team to get a book. He is the goalie of the team. He has a neighbor who is driving him crazy with her outlandish lawn decorations. She is a pain in his butt but there is something about her that peaks his interest. Pepper is very artsy and colorful and it is reflected in her yard. She knows it aggrevates her neighbor but she can't help herself. When Legend comes home from a trip he finds a bundle left on his porch. Not knowing what to do he runs to Pepper's house. Now he finds himself the possible father of a newborn and he doesn't have a clue what to do. Thankfully Pepper is there to help him. This is the beginning of their relationship. While trying to work out having a newborn, building a relationship with Pepper, he now has a post partum baby momma driving him crazy. An enjoyable story with a crazy ending. Loved Legend and Pepper and their journey to each other. Really enjoying this series and looking forward to the next book. 4.5 stars for me.

This book pulls you right in. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, guilt, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Bishop (Arizona Vengeance, #1)
Erik (Arizona Vengeance #2)

This is Pepper and Legend’s story. Legend feels as though his neighbor is a crazy person but one night is all it’s going to take to change that. When he needs someone the most she steps up and helps him out with no questions asked. No matter that his life is thrown upside down she is there for him. The more she helps him out the more he falls for her but what happens when she has to go back to her life and he goes back to a newer version of his? Will he still want and need her for her or was he just with her because she was close and always around? What happens when she needs him? Will he be there for her or will she be left all alone?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. Can’t wait for the other hockey players in this series to get their story.

I highly recommend this story, and this author. Can’t wait to read the next story in this series!

An awesome enemy neighbor to lover romance 😊 Legend and Pepper are neighbors. Legend thought Pepper’s choice of decorating her house is annoying and need a little help. When Legend’s got a surprise at his door step, Pepper was the first to jump in to help. Like it or not, Legend will have to face his neighbor a whole lot more than he expected. I thought Legend and Pepper’s relationship started a little fast insta-love but the attraction was definitely palpable. I really like Pepper – she is quirky, fun and has a good heart. Legend has a good career, single and ready to mingle but life has another plan for him. I love that Legend stepped up to his responsibility and handled a difficult situation with grace. Hands down – a really man! Total hunk 😊 A bit of drama here and there but overall Legend is sweet, adorable, heartfelt love story.

Legend & Pepper are going to steal your heart and sizzle off the pages.

Pepper is a sweet, smart , sassy quirky gal that just so happens to be Legend's neighbor . They kind of have a love irritate one another relationship. Legend has to admit that his female neighbor has caught his eye but he is sure they have nothing in common. The moment a bundle of unexpected joy is left on his doorstep Pepper is the first one that is on the scene and now the adventure begins. Legend is a sexy, sweet, journey of discovery and new chapters in your life ! Loved it !

Oh sweet baby Jesus! Sawyer has officially done it! She has knocked my socks off and stole my wig! (I've been binge watching Drag Race)

Legend is someone I have been waiting for to find out what would happen with him and his neighbor, Pepper... but lordy I was not expecting the curveball Sawyer threw! Sawyer always gives us heroines that don't back down and can show up with the best of them and this is Pepper to a "T"! She is sassy, witty, strong, and compassionate in the best of ways - which is just what Legend needs when he comes home to a big "little" surprise! I love that even though things happen quickly between Pepper and Legend, they remain true to themselves and one another - fighting for what they want and what is the best for their "family".

Someone hold my hand for when we finally get to learn more about Tacker! I am holding my breath until that moment I have his story in my hands. I cannot wait to see what else Sawyer has up her sleeve for the Vengeance!

I was excited to get Legend’s and Peppers story. I knew it was going to be a good one. I wasn’t disappointed. I really enjoyed seeing Legend and Pepper come together for a very good reason. The quirky neighbor turns out to be a very good friend to Legend. She’s there for him when he really needs someone. Legend ends up being a really good guy too. I figured he’d be a “player” as in womanizer, not hockey player. He was a stand up guy and good friend. I adored reading this story and look forward to getting more from the guys of the Arizona Vengeance.

This series is on fire, and I’m so excited for this next installment!

I’ve been drawn to Legend since the beginning. He’s shrouded in a bit of mystery because he doesn’t let a lot of people in. He’s very structured, likes his world ordered, and almost borders on uptight. But really, those personality traits are only apparent when Pepper is in the picture. He’s a genuinely good guy, very charming, loyal, adaptable, and oh so sexy. He has the ability to go from sweet to steamy in seconds and watching him grow over the course of this story was fantastic. He definitely induces plenty of swoony moments.

Pepper is different from Legend. She’s more fun-loving and free-spirited. She likes the freedom her job allows and doesn’t take things too seriously - and that includes Legend. She’s quirky and fun, and she always keeps him on his toes. She’s also a really good person, the kind that would bend over backwards to lend a helping hand.

Put these two together and it’s only a matter of time before their insane chemistry takes over. They’re a fun and steamy couple but this book isn’t all about the heat. There’s plenty of feels packed in this story, along with a few unexpected surprises, not all of them having to do with the main couple. It’s another great addition to this amazing new series.

Legend has butted heads with his colourful neighbour since moving into his new home. Legend and Pepper have very different styles and way of expressing themselves; while Pepper is colourful, creative and artistic, Legend is calm and rational priding himself on his focus and dedication to his career. So why is Pepper digging so deep under Legend’s skin? Despite their banter, there are very real electrical sparks between the pair. However, Legend is determined to ignore them dismissing Pepper as flighty and ditzy.

So when Legend’s life gets turned upside down, it comes as a complete shock to him that the one person he can turn to for help is Pepper.

I adored Pepper and her view of the world, seeing and doing are often to very different things when it comes to offering help but Pepper embraces the chance to make others life better whether it is via the children’s books she writes and illustrates or by aiding others with the curveballs life throws at them. Her optimistic nature and colourful pixie presence bring the sunshine she carries inside her to people’s lives. Even though she herself has suffered traumatic life events, Pepper has used the experiences to embrace the positive in her life rather than letting the negative shape her identity.

I loved how accepting Legend was of the situation and the way in which he allowed love to become a fundamental part of his life. Some seriously swoon-worthy moments here.

The portrayal of the mental health issue within the narrative was to an extreme but was a necessary addition to the plot.

Legend is a super sweet story and shows that everything happens for a reason even if it is very different to how we envisioned it.

"There's no way he'd ever be interested in someone like me, so I poked the bear, so to speak, just to have some of his attention."

I've really been looking forward to this installment of the Arizona Vengeance series after meeting Legend's next door neighbor Piper in a previous book. She was purposely aggravating him by putting pink flamingo yard ornaments out to get a rise out of him. It never fails to set him off and she likes the attention, even if it is negative. Everyone else loves her and she's the life of the party. They can't understand why she gets under his skin so much. Hmmm... I didn't have to strain my brain too much to guess that he was fighting an attraction to her and that's why I couldn't wait to get my hands on Legend as soon as possible.

Piper can't deny that "He's built like a Greek god with rippling muscles over a strong stature." She took notice right away and at every opportunity thereafter. She assumed that she was nothing more than an annoying neighbor to him, but when he came to her for help she could tell that he actually respected her opinion. When he listened to her and followed some of her suggestions she found herself hoping for more. Surely they could at least be friends, right?

While he might not ever come to appreciate her flair for bright colors and jaw-dropping decor it does kind of become tolerable when he gets to know her better. When he looks deeper he sees kindness and genuine caring for others. Which is a very good thing because he's in desperate need of assistance. She's the last person he'd ever thought would be there for him, especially after all of his yelling and him reporting her to their HOA. But, apparently, she's a bigger person than him because she didn't hesitate.

I can't give you any details, but I can tell you to expect a surprise twist. The author really pulled out the stops on this one and gave me more than I bargained for. I was expecting explosive chemistry, which I got, but it's even better than that. 🤐

We started seeing this relationship budding in the last w books with Legend hating his neighbor, Pepper, because of her eccentric ways. You know that they were eventually going to get together. As we all know, there is a fine line between love and hate.

There is a curveball in this story that we get right at the beginning of the book. Without giving away what it is, it’s basically another reason to make you fall for Legend because it definitely sets him into a whole new category for swooning.

I really enjoyed the back and forth between Legend and Pepper. Legend is used to having things his way (and considering his lifestyle it makes sense) but Pepper challenges him and its funny to see him lose that control. Pepper does have some bits and pieces that make her a little out there, but she is a fun character and one that you will enjoy reading.

Legend and Pepper were a match made in heaven. They were so different that they were perfect. Legend was all about order unlike his neighbor that broke every HOA rule but still made him smile. They were attracted to each other but never made a move.

Legend had an event that changed his life overnight and Pepper was by his side every step of the way. This pushed them together and there was no turning back. These two were off the charts explosive together. Their relationship was beautiful and funny. Legend loved her how she was and vice versa. There was an incident that was scary and Legend’s reaction was ❤️. He was not about to lose Pepper.

The ending was typical Legend and Pepper and it was simply beautiful.

Steamy goodness! I loved this story! Lots of surprises keep the reader on the edge of their seat throughout, as we watch this adorable couple meander the roadblocks popping up around every corner. They're great together. I can't wait to read the next couple of books in this series. So much is happening!

Arizona Vengeance goalie Legend Bay is living life and enjoying every moment of it. The team's doing great and the only thing he has to gripe about is his annoying neighbor. She is so over-the-top that every little thing she does just drives him bananas, but when an unexpected discovery leaves him at her mercy, she comes through for him top notch. He can't bring himself to hate on her anymore ... especially once he gets to know what a really nice woman she is.

Pepper Nantais has been crushing on Legend for while now, but there's no way she's going to let the arrogant jerk know that. She'll help him out of this mess he finds himself in, but she doesn't have to like it. Until she starts to ... a little too much!

I adored this book. I loved that Pepper wasn't your typical heroine and that she was so comfortable in her own skin. I found myself becoming more and more invested in her relationship with Legend with ever turn of the page.

If you love a good enemies to lovers romance with a twist (which I won't give away ;) ), then you will love Legend. The book and the man. The book is what ever romance reader needs. It's sexy, sweet, and has an emotional twist that will pull at your heart strings. But, the man that embodies all the the sweet and sexy is what did it for me. He's this big tough hockey player with this amazing heart that made me fall hard and fast.

I am loving this series and really, really looking forward to the next books.

❤~🌟~❤ 4 LEGENDARY STARS! ❤~🌟~❤

I always get an ADRENALINE RUSH whenever I dive into a new ARIZONA LEGEND book, and I swear each and every one of these hunky NHL players just OWN my heart!

I was particularly razzed about LEGEND because this third standalone installment has two of my fave tropes… enemies to lovers and insta-daddyhood…and wowza did the always spectacular Sawyer Bennett score a HUGE GOAL with this wildly addictive hockey romance!

THE STORY:
Legend Bay has enough on his plate living up to his legendary rep as a star goalie for the ARIZONA VENGEANCE expansion team, but on top of that, he has to deal with his annoyingly quirky neighbor, Pepper Nantais, whose artsy persona and gaudy Christmas lawn decorations are WAY OTT! Their feud started the moment that Pepper moved in next door, putting a major crimp in this gorgeously grumpy hockey stud’s neat and orderly life! And to make matters worse, he is CRAZY ATTRACTED to the sexy siren! But apparently, Santa has an early Xmas surprise in store for Legend—in the form of a precious newborn baby girl on his doorstep--which proves to be the ULTIMATE GAME CHANGER.

Eeeep…talk about a shockeroo!

According to the note that's tucked into the baby carrier, the tiny infant is HIS and the mom is unable to care for her. So, guess who pitches in to help this befuddled new daddy learn the ropes? Yup…you guessed it: Pepper, his sweet nemesis steps up to the plate bigtime and proves there’s far more to her than meets the eye. Their close proximity fans the flames of their passion, but while the sex is MIND-BLOWING, Legend can’t afford to be distracted by his burgeoning feelings for this kind-hearted, bohemian beauty. But the heart wants what the heart wants…and when unexpected danger strikes and precious lives are left hanging precariously in the balance, will this all-star goalie be granted a desperately needed miracle?

MY MUSINGS:
Oh my heart!! This sweet and scintillating sports romance was a total swoonfest! LEGEND is chock full of fluttery feels, heartfelt moments, sizzling hot sexy times…and even a dash of pulse pounding suspense.

I was immediately sucked into this fast burning romance between these two former foes who find common ground when life throws Legend an unexpected curveball that turns him into an instant family man. The sparkling chemistry between Legend and Pepper was off the charts and this duo sure generated enough heat to warm us even on the coldest of nights!

There is something about Sawyer Bennett’s hockey heroes that always make my heart skip a beat. They are just the WHOLE HUNKILICOUS PACKAGE! Ruggedly sexy with big, rock hard bods, swaggering sex appeal and dominant alpha personalities. But when these gruff and tough Arizona Vengeance men fall, they fall hard…and then their sweet and sensitive sides emerge that turn us into a pile of goo! And that’s exactly what happened with Legend Bay the moment that Pepper and baby Charlie became the center of his world!

I was REALLY charmed by this couple, although I admittedly would have liked a more gradual progression from enemies to lovers in this romance, and some fiery push-pull where we got to witness Pepper and Legend fighting their evolving feelings. Things developed a bit TOO easily for this duo in my opinion, and more palpable tension would have upped the stakes. But that aside, I really FELT their emotional connection and their sexual attraction was undeniable! The fun-loving, bohemian heroine is unlike any other woman Legend has ever crossed paths with before which ultimately proves to be his undoing!

And while at first Legend’s cranky, uptight attitude rubbed Pepper the wrong way and she relished pushing his buttons, deep down she’s been harboring a secret crush on the arrogantly sexy goalie. So, when they call a truce for the baby's sake and really get to know each other, they find they have more in common than they think…in the bedroom and out! Ultimately, I just loved how Legend is brought to his knees by baby Charlie and the sweet, bubbly, adorably kooky woman who is there to help him weather the newfound daddy storm!

And sighhhh those precious moments with baby Charlie were CUTENESS OVERLOAD! This baby is really pivotal to the plot because not only does she draw these two polar opposites together, but Pepper and his sweet little angel bring out the big old softie in this macho hockey star, rouse his every PRIMAL, PROTECTIVE instinct, and help him discover the TRUE MEANING of love and sacrifice! . And in turn, when Pepper reveals a painful personal secret, it truly makes this couple’s devotion to each other—and baby Charlie—resonate even more! As it turns out, this threesome make the perfect family.

As for the sexcapades, their wickedly steamy erotic interludes were passionate—and plentiful—and LIT MY KINDLE ON FIRE!!

Just like the first two installments, the interaction with the Arizona Vengeance teammates and the action on the hockey field were a huge highlight. I love how these players have each other backs through thick and thin! And ultimately, there was not a dull moment from start to finish. The fast-paced plot unfolds at a nice brisk place with lots of excitement and drama and passion throughout, finally culminating in a jaw-dropping climax that had me GASPING and a heartwarming HEA that left me all aglow!

Highly recommend!

Legend Bay’s life changes the night he comes home and finds a baby literally on his doorstep. Confused, shocked and not knowing what to do, he reaches out to his neighbor Pepper. Pepper has been a bit of a thorn for Legend, with her lawn ornaments and bright colors and her bohemian ways. But when Pepper takes one look at Legend, she steps up to help him through this life-changing event.

Pepper’s friendship and support during this trying time for Legend has him looking at Pepper in a different way. They start a “sex-only” relationship as a way to decompress from the serious life changes facing Legend. Of course friends with benefits doesn’t last long as they both start falling for each other in a serious way.

I was totally sucked into this book in the first few pages. It was nice to see a different side of both Legend and Pepper in this book. They just really clicked together for me, and they were so awesome with Charlie, Legend’s new found daughter.

When Charlie’s mother reappears after abandoning her, there’s only trouble for Legend and Pepper. Some big trouble that had me turning the pages at the end to see what was going to happen. My only wish was that I needed more there at the end. The ending seemed a little abrupt to me. I’m hopeful we will get to see Legend and his new family in the upcoming books in the series.

If you like sports romance, Legend has enough sports and romance to keep a reader satisfied.
Another entertaining read from Sawyer Bennett.

Where to begin? Legend Bay is one of the best goalies in hockey and his playing is on fire! He has everything and life looks great for him, but he's about to get a suprise bundle literally dropped off at his doorstep. With no idea what to do with a tiny baby on his front porch where else would he turn than his exasperating neighbor Pepper.

As they navigate the situation Legend and Pepper are forced to acknowledge their irritation with each other was unfulfilled desire that can now spark to life. Yet uncertainty and concern intrudes as the baby's mother presses for access to her daughter. Simply trying to resolve this takes unexpected turns..
This series continues to get better and you really see the team coming together to support each other. From Dax to Tacker and the rest of the guys you are definitely getting to know everyone and having a little glimpse into how their stories will develop.

What does a big and strong hockey player do when a baby is left on his doorstep? He runs like crazy to get his next door neighbor to help him deal with this reality, that's what!

Little did Legend know he had fathered a child with an old flame. Now, a two-week-old baby girl, wrapped in blankets was crying while laying on his front porch. Thanks to his crazy neighbor Pepper, he is able to begin to cope with the realization this bundle of joy was his. Totally unprepared to be a father, this stand up guy will steal your hearts as he comes to full acceptance of his new duties.

Follow Legend and Pepper as they both help each other and also create a warm and safe home for little Charlie. Safety is most important as her crazy mother abandons and returns for her baby.

This is a sweet story of love in all forms.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

This series has very quickly become a favourite of mine. I LOVE getting to know this team and each and every character as the books are released.

Legend's story grabbed me right from the get go. Chapter 1, oh boy oh boy. I instantly messaged my friend and was like...you neeeeddd to tell me when you're reading this so I can see your reactions. I just knew it would be that kind of book.

I truly loved watching Legend grow and mature with the events that happen in this story. And with Pepper along side him, things are lots of fun as well. She also has some depth to her, and its really sweet getting to know the real woman under her quirky lawn ornament exterior.

We also get plenty of time with the other guys on the team who we have grown to know and love. I cannot wait for Dax and Tacker to get their stories. I was already keen, but after events which unfold during this book, I really NEED those two stories now. Please, Sawyer?

We have plenty of serious events and issues taking place in this book, but its all written really well and there isn't any unnecessary angst or anything like that. Everything flows smoothly, follows on well from the previous two books, and leaves things in a great spot for Legend, and with some hints (at least I think so) for Dax and Tacker.

Highly recommend this one!

This is one feisty story.

Legend is new to Phoenix having moved there to play for the Vengeance, an expansion hockey team, and just happened to move in next door to Pepper. The neighbor with the over-the-top lawn decorations.

Coming home from practice one night, Legend gets the surprise of his life. Someone has left a newborn baby on his doorstep. Not knowing what to do, he runs to Pepper, who calms him down and helps him deal with his presumed daughter.

As Legend and Pepper get to know one another, the reader can sense a genuine connection between them. Legend leans on Pepper and Pepper leans back. Neither of their lives have been easy and they know the road ahead will be bumpy, but you can see their determination to handle it together.

I loved the characters of Legend and Pepper. They each have their own set of insecurities, yet they cautiously open the door to new possibilities. In doing so, they opened the door to hope, love, and family.

Lee’Anne – ☆☆☆☆☆
I have been anxiously awaiting this release since reading Erik, the previous book, and getting a glimpse of Pepper and Legend’s rivalry. Pepper is Legend’s neighbor who has been a nuisance to Legend since the day she moved in. Pepper’s tastes are very eclectic and over the top and her yard decorations mirror this. The two have a bit of a mini-rivalry where Pepper does whatever she can to irritate Legend, purely for entertainment, while Legend gets more cranky each day. One day, Legend comes home from work to find the surprise of a lifetime on his porch – a baby. The first thing Legend does is run to Pepper’s door for help and the two become close from that moment forward.

Legend’s world is completely rocked with having a baby in his life but he’s not willing to let that affect his new relationship with Pepper. He recognizes from early on that she’s more than just special and he doesn’t want to let her go.

The “war” between Legend and Pepper is hilarious, I only wish there had been a bit more of it. I love that this book had me laughing out loud and deeply invested in the outcome. Legend is a dream man and Pepper’s personality makes me want to be friends with her. I just loved this story – I’m loving this whole series! Can’t wait for more from Arizona Vengeance!

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the third book in the series, and whilst I would recommend that you read them in order, this is a delightful story in its own right. Combine a super-hot and sexy hockey player with unexpected single fatherhood and Legend undoubtedly gets the chance to live up to his name. Really though, what were his parents thinking? Tt is a burden on any mortal!

I love the image from the very first page that helps us understand the differences in style between Legend and his neighbour, Pepper. However, we soon get to learn that their natures are in far better harmony and indeed, there is chemistry to spare. Faced with a problem, they work together to get the very best outcome... and there are some significant dramas along the way, but the two of them make an amazing team, and both recognise it and enjoy it.

As we get to see the team advance through their season, and the stresses and strains that threaten to derail their cup chances. Legend, though, is playing his best hockey ever and this season may just be his in every respect.

Fun addition to the series, and clearly more to come.

Sarah – ☆☆☆☆
I’ve been excited for Legend and Pepper’s book since the start of the series. The chemistry between these two has been charged from the start and I like how their connection deepens when Legend’s life takes an unexpected turn.

I’ve had a girl crush on Pepper since we first had a glimpse of her colourful lawn ornaments and vaguely bohemian lifestyle. She’s even better when we learn about her career as a bestselling children’s author. I’ve grown tired of predictable WAG types in sports romance and Pepper is anything but predictable. Legend is a predictable hockey player. At one point he acknowledges his beige home and until Charlie, his personality feels a little beige too. With Charlie’s arrival, he’s forced to finally grow up and I enjoyed his adulting challenges.

I really wasn’t expecting Charlie and I didn’t love all the baby focus in this book. I know some readers love romances with kids involved but I expect kids to be mentioned in blurbs so I can avoid them. Charlie’s unscheduled arrival made me a bit wary of Legend’s sudden interest in Pepper. At times, I didn’t know whether Legend saw Pepper as a potential partner or as a convenient babysitter, co-parent, or personal assistant. Pepper is available and she’s good with kids – and I kinda felt like the magic between Pepper and Legend gets replaced by practical and convenient within the first few chapters.

I also have mixed feelings about the increasingly creepy subplot involving Legend’s ex-girlfriend. The baby mama/crazy ex-girlfriend storyline is a little bit over-the-top and it also reduces the women in the book to tired virgin/whore tropes. I’m not sure the ex-girlfriend needed to become a villain and I don’t think the whole storyline added much to Pepper and Legend’s relationship.
