Legend by Sawyer Bennett tells the story of Legend and Pepper and can be read as a stand-a-lone, but it would be helpful to read the previous two books in the Arizona Vengeance series.

Legend finds a newborn baby on his doorstep and seeks Pepper, his neighbor’s assistance. We have met both in the previous books and I was excited that Sawyer Bennett finally told Pepper and Legend’s story. Legend is mature for his age and takes to being a father with ease, even through difficult times with the baby’s mother. Pepper is a free spirit and fun. She brings color to Legend’s life and truly cares for his daughter, “Charlie”. She helps him along the way and a beautiful relationship develops.

This is a wonderful addition to the series and I loved that other players were included. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

If I didn't know better, I'd think that Sawyer Bennett is really a guy hockey player in real life. She really knows how to write a hockey romance!

This book is Legend Bay's story! After first meeting Pepper Nantais in Erik's story....where Legend and Pepper clashed...you just knew these two would get together. Legend grew up in a military household so he likes his life very orderly. As the goalie for the Arizona Vengeance, Legend follows a very strict regiment that has worked well for him. When Legend moved into his house he didn't realize that his new hot neighbor, Pepper, was so over the top. She likes her life loud and colorful and it drives him nuts. These two love to spar and drive each other nuts but when Legend finds something unusual on his front porch, the first person he goes to for help is Pepper.

As Legend and Pepper deal with this new situation, they grow closer and Legend starts to realize that there is way more to Pepper than he ever realized. Just when it looks like these two are going to get a happy ending. someone from Legend's past has to go and cause trouble. In the long run, it ends up just making Pepper and Legend even closer.

This was a wonderful, fun and sexy story. I loved all of the characters involved and can't wait for Dax and Tacker's stories!

I absolutely adore this series and these hockey stars. Each player has a unique story to tell and with each subsequent book, I find myself becoming even more captivated by the Arizona Vengeance.

I was completely surprised by the direction that Legend’s story took. I expected a heated will-they/won’t-they romance between Legend and his plastic-pink-flamingo-loving neighbour, Pepper, but I couldn’t have foreseen a story involving an unexpected baby.

When Legend finds a baby on his doorstep he is stunned but immediately steps up as a father. Having only known the baby’s mother for a short time, he is shocked when he realises that he had left her pregnant and alone. Not knowing what to do with the baby, Legend turns to his frustrating but gorgeous neighbour, Pepper, who immediately steps up without fuss. It doesn’t take long before both Legend and Pepper find themselves jointly raising little Charlie and bonding over Charlie results in them becoming romantically involved.

As expected in all good romance stories, it’s not long before drama hits as Charlie’s mother arrives on the scene and suddenly, Legend, Pepper and Charlie find their new life at risk as Charlie’s mother wants her baby back.

The ongoing characters and team story continues in the background of this book and, as expected, they welcome Charlie into their lives with love and gifts.

There is an underlying sadness which continues in this story and that relates to Tacker’s emotional state of mind as he continues to struggle on after the death of his fiancee. Despite crying out for Tacker’s story, the next book will be Dax’s and I can’t wait to read it.

I always said there was a fine line between love and hate. Pepper and Legend are opposites, however, you know how they attract. When they finally get together...FIREWORKS!

A big man with a little baby always makes me weak in the knees. The way he loves his child and dedicates himself to her is just heartwarming. Thankfully, he had Pepper to help him through all of the newness and heartache. Pepper is Legend's perfect mate.

After finishing Erik’s book I couldn’t wait to find out where Legend and Pepper’s journey would take them and I wasn’t disappointed in any way. It had all the pieces I love in a story woven together seamlessly. It was sweet, smexy, swoon worthy and filled with heart and add in a good dose of drama and characters I NEED more of...well, this one just did it for me in every way.

I loved Pepper. She is definitely a free spirit, but she isn’t a ditz. She is grounded, compassionate and sassy and owns everything she does with a confidence that I couldn’t help but adore. Legend surprised me, in a good way. Yes, he likes order and can be a bit of a stick in the mud, but beneath that regimented exterior is a true heart of gold with a good dose of dirty smexy tossed in for good measure.

Legend and Pepper’s journey was a pleasant surprise from start to finish. I honestly expected a little more...angst, a little more push/pull, but what I got were two adults ~ who had been at odds initially ~ tossed into a crazy situation and found that they were everything the other thought they’d be and everything they couldn’t have expected but ended up loving. I enjoyed their bantering and how honest they were with each other. The smexy was HAWT and I loved where they ended up when everything was said and done.

This baby is chock full of stuff going on. There are sweet things, funny things, heartbreaking things and even a little bit of craycray that goes on, but it was all done and handled very well. As you know, I love well written secondary characters and having characters from previous books pop up and be apart of the story and this one had that in spades, it even had a little taste of the Cold Fury in it which had me all KINDS of happy. But as for the Vengeance crew...I loved catching up with Bishop, Brooke, Erik and Blue ~ I’m really enjoying watching as their relationships continue to evolve. And then there is Dax and Tacker. While Tacker is still that ‘unicorn’ character for me (especially after all that happens in this one) Dax has definitely peaked my interest and I cannot wait to get my hand on his book!

Follow the story of Legend, who can't stand the outlandish yard displays his neighbor Pepper continues to put in her yard! Until one fateful night, he runs to her for help and she's there for him at the time to help him through it and be there by his side.
I will not go into details on this review, I feel it's best to read along and feel the experiences like I did!I will tell you that you will swoon over Legend! 5 stanley cups for this one, grab it as soon as it's available! And I'm so looking forward to the next in this series!

I have loved all of Sawyer Bennett's hockey players and Legend was no exception. It tugged at my emotions with the baby storyline. The wild and crazy mama storyline was predictable but still a great touch to the story. I am not a sports fan and you don't have to be to enjoy any of these books. They are all standalone books so you can start with any of them. When you read one you will want to read them all.

Another wonderful story in this series about this new Arizona Vengeance hockey team. Despite their ongoing neighbor fued of sorts, turns out Legend Bay & Pepper Nantais are absolutely perfect for each other. All it took was a little Charlie. Their love may have been easy, but their journey was definitely not but yet so incredibly worth it! There is so much more than a love story going on in this book that will certainly take your emotions on a ride and won’t necessarily end when this book does, but I love that about this series. It definitely helps keep you invested in all the players. The writing is great! The characters are lovable and amazing! It’s always fun to check in with the other guys on the team too! I loved it!

I’m a big fan of Sawyer Bennett’s “Cold Fury Hockey” series and I must be honest when I say that the “Arizona Vengeance” hasn’t measured up until now. ”LEGEND”, is sexy, heartfelt and even has some nail-biting suspense.

Readers who love a romance with a hot & single daddy, are sure to enjoy this one. Legend and his love interest, next door neighbor Pepper, were introduced in the earlier installments. Their romance started off as ”enemies-to-lovers” but in this book the sparks and intense emotions between Legend and Pepper are barreling forward fast and furiously. It all starts when Legend comes home one night and finds a newborn baby girl in a car carrier on his front porch. From that moment on he turns to Pepper for help and the chemistry between them sparks almost instantaneously.

Legend steps into the role as father to little Charlie with great ease and for a guy in his early twenties, he had a deep maturity level along with a sensitive side that almost had me thinking he was a woman. But that didn’t make him any less swoon-worthy.

We also get a glimpse into the lives of Legend’s buddies and teammates, Tacker and Dax. I can already tell that their stories are going to be extremely emotional and I can’t wait to get my hands on these books!

Pepper just knows how to boost her man's ego, "I feel Pepper lift her head and I raise mine to look at her. She pats my chest and gives me a smile. “That was . . . well, just wow.” Legend is just a thoughtful man, "...I thought about buying paper plates but thought I should try to be a good host for my guests." I liked this book, I fell in love with Legend.

This book was so damn good. I loved the characters and the romance was so sweet. Also the plot was done very well A+!! I'm really loving this series!!

I really enjoyed this one, it had a little suspense thrown in with the hot and steamy romance. Legend is thrown for a loop and his neighbor Pepper is there to help. They have a unique relationship to begin with but as time moves on they discover the passion between them. This book was amazing and wonderful. I can't wait for the next one.

If you have read the previous two book in this series, you have already met Legend and the love Pepper - you might remember how much Legend just looooves his new neighbour (that was sarcasm there).


I will say, I had forgotten about Pepper (not because she is forgettable, it is just my bookzheimerish brain).

However, one flamingos were mentioned, I was all over it.

Boy, this book started with a big WTF moment, and never stopped from there one.

I adore the banter and attraction between Legend and Pepper. You can cut the sexual tension with a knife.

It it not all smooth sailing though, and I had a few more WTF moments throughout this book.

There is great set up for a couple more books too. I hope I have somethings figured out, however I am looking forward to be taking on their journeys - particularly the story of Tacker.

I can't wait to see where Ms Bennett takes us next.

Sawyer Bennett knows men. She seems to know what they think and how they will react to certain situations, and she does it with ease and flair. In other words, she has the knack on the dudes, and sports ones are her specialty in my opinion.

What can I say, Legend is a legend! Not only for his brilliant hockey skills but also for his cool, calm and decisive demeanour. And he needs it in this book with abundance. Legend is put to the test on a few different accounts and I have to say, he did good! Pepper undertakes some major happenings as well that will have you gasping. She reveals so much to Legend about her past and I was touched by her sensitive story. Even though I was hoping for more of the back and forth banter that these two had in the previous books, I was happy with the way this couple came together out of respect and devoir. It is a quick read, with plenty of action, on and off the ice, but there is a whole other level that will keep you mesmerised.

Within this book, we are getting more of an insight into Dax and Tacker, which I am getting very excited about. Each of them has a very unique story to tell.

Legend was so good! So, this can be read as a stand alone, but if you've read previous books, you remember Legend's neighbor Pepper, who drove him crazy. Well, we all knew it was just because they had chemistry. And now there's a surprise baby so they have no time for silly feuds. He's such a good insta daddy. And these two have like a perfect, natural progression of things. Of course he has a crazy ex and some serious drama within the team. At times the book was intense, emotional, very deep. I felt so much, and fell so in love with this couple.

Legend is the best kind of rollercoaster.......legend and pepper seem to hate each other when you first meet them but in this book you realize it’s all sexual attraction.....when legend needs pepper she steps up in a big way and lands right in his arms, and she never wants to leave. Throw in a baby a crazy ex and you have what ends up being the best hockey book to date.

I’ve been looking forward to Legends book for awhile now and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the chemistry and relationship between Pepper and Legend and the storyline was great. We also get a peek into a few storyline’s that are upcoming throughout the book and I cannot wait for them! Especially Tacker!

Oh my gosh! Legend definitely packed some heat! And a few good punches, too! This was a rollercoaster of emotions, and I'm thinking it's going to take me a while to recover.

There was a time when I wasn't sure that the Arizona Vengeance series could live up to the Cold Fury series, but that time is over now. Both series are amazing in their own right, but if you - like me - weren't sure about committing to a new one? Trust me. So worth it!

Good gravy you guys, I can't tell you all the ways I loved Legend and Pepper. I was primed for this enemies-to-lovers story, which got its set-up in Erik, but I had no idea what kind of wild ride Ms. Bennett was about to take me on. This story was nothing like what I expected and I think that made me love it even more. SO MUCH MORE.

GAH. It was SO GOOD!

This reads like a soap opera. And I mean that in the best way possible. That sort of addicting, need to know what happens next, caught up in all the drama feeling that you get with soap operas? That's what's packed between the pages of these books. I love that all the characters I've gotten to know and love in the previous books continue popping up as the series goes on. They're still part of the action, and occasionally part of the current drama. And rest assured, there is a lot of drama, and Legend in particular had a lot of emotion. Emotion I wasn't necessarily expecting. Emotion that eked tears from my eyes and set my pulse pounding. I laughed, I swooned, and I spent a bit of time on the edge of my seat. Seriously, y'all. This story was insanely addicting, easily my favorite of the series so far, and, at this point, as long as Ms. Bennett keeps cranking them out? I'm gonna keep showing up. ~ Shelly, 5 Stars
